A little bit of Heaven
We personally think this has to be one of the very best places to stay in Cocoa. The house is roomy, welcoming, and well-equipped for any needs of their guests, from infant to the elderly. Some houses just have a good aura, and this one's is to create calm and invite relaxation. The spacious rooms are inviting, everyone felt that their bed was super comfortable, and the icing on the cake is the welcoming front porch where you can relax, watch the river, see the sunsets, etc The house is within easy walking distance of the popular downtown area and the host is wonderful. We always stay in rental homes on family trips, and by far, this was the greatest experience we have ever had in a home away from home!
I am so happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Strong Haven. The house is meant to be a blessing to all who walk through the doors. Hope you will get to come again soon.
We really enjoyed staying at this historic home. The river was so beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and sitting out there in the morning. The house is fully stocked with everything you can think of. Thank you for providing that to us. The front door handle broke off and we contacted the owner. She was very prompt with her response and action. It was a pleasure staying there.
Thank you for your stay at Strong Haven. Hope you caught some good fish to eat & will return again to the beautiful Indian River.
Perfect haven’t sleep that good in a long time
So relaxing sitting on the porch watching the river and all the boats
So glad that you had a relaxing time away. It is peaceful along the beautiful Indian River at Strong Haven. Hope you will come again soon.
Nice historic home on Indian River
There was a booklet in the living room that had a history of homes in the area. This home was built in 1915 and renovated later on for electricity. The stay here was very comfortable and enjoyed being able to fish on the dock that is right in front of the home. The owners were also great to communicate with about the rental of the home. Will consider staying again on return trips.
So glad that you enjoyed your stay at Strong Haven. Fishing right off the dock from beautiful Indian River is the real Florida at its best. I hope that you can come again.(and catch a BIG one)
Family gathering for Wedding and vacation
We loved it a total party of 7 with dinner guest of 15 one night and it was room for everyone comfortably for dinner. We all loved the view and loved the house we will definitely plan to do a stay again ❤
I am so glad that you and your family had a good time at Strong Haven along the beautiful Indian River. I hope that you will be able to come again and visit.
Thanks so much,
We were in town for a family wedding. It was nice to have found such a spacious home to hold us all
We spent mornings on the beautiful front porch sipping morning beverages. We were able to share memories of the previous days activities and make plans for the day at hand. Walking the neighborhood was very pleasant and the homes were beautiful. The men had a fun time fishing off of the dock on the Indian River. The ladies enjoyed walking to Cocoa Viallage to shop and dine. We found many delicious places to eat. The Rising Tide, where we hosted the Rehearsal Dinner, The Tiny Turtle was a delicious and favorite for our health conscience and vegetarian eaters. The bikes provided with the house were a nice addition. You will need to get the lock combinations from the owner. This home is a dated turn of the century home, with older furniture. We did appreciate its beauty and history. That being said, although the kitchen was well equipped, it’s cuoboards and closet were cluttered leaving us only the counter space to place groceries.
We enjoyed our time together in Cocoa Beach.
I am glad that you and your family enjoyed your time at Strong Haven. As far as cupboards being full, our guests usually appreciate that there are spices, seasonings, baking items such as four, salt ect. in the cupboards for all to use.The closet or pantry that you mentioned was accidentally left unlocked by the housekeeper and is where we store paper towels, toilet paper and is not meant for guest to put their groceries. I am glad that we have plenty of counter space and a breakfast table as well as island for you to put your groceries. Sorry if this was an inconvenience for you.
Watch space shuttle launches & visit Cape Kennedy Space museum, deep sea fishing boats at Cape Canaveral, short drive to theme parks in Orlando or relax on the beautiful beach & let the waves wash your cares away. Bike the scenic Indian River Drive or walk to historic Cocoa Village and the cute shops or catch a live play at the Village theatre. Dine out at the many nearby restaurants or cook fresh seafood from Canaveral fishing boats. Best of all, relax on the veranda and enjoy the view.
