Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for working with us on the check in time, that was helpful. The

house is wonderful. Our home in Norfolk was built in the 1920s so we feel right at home and you've done a great job with the place. We are looking forward to an enjoyable stay.

Thank you for helping make our stay so enjoyable. The house was perfect for us. We wound up with 5 adults and no children and had a great time. I hope we left everything in a acceptable manner. We look forward to visiting again.

Second annual family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We were all excited to return to Strong Haven after our great time there last Spring. The recent improvements are wonderful - a new bath on the first floor, comfy porch furniture, and new beds in the middle upstairs bedroom plus room-darkening shades. This was a 3 generation trip with 4 adults and 4 little ones ages 6 months to 6 years. We were all very content, there is lots of room to spread out and comfortable beds for all. Our 6 year old really loved the top bunk!! We appreciate having the baby equipment available, and the beach toys. This home is very well equipped with linens and towels, a full kitchen, plenty of paper goods and cleaning supplies - we had everything needed for a lovely 4 night stay. Many of us enjoyed the sunrise from the front porch, which was also a great spot for our relatives who live in Cocoa to come and visit us. We enjoyed the nearby park in Cocoa Village and Ryan's pizza, and daily visits to Cherie Down beach. Thank you for being such a gracious host, Vivian !

Like staying at grandma's house.

  • 5 of 5

Lovely old home that blesses us every time we stay. Crooked floors, and period furniture add to the charm of this beautiful home.

Owner's Response: Thanks for coming. You are so right that the home holds all the best of "going to Grandma's" where there is peace and love for all who enter in these protective walls. Come again and make memories along the beautiful Indian River. Blessings on your family

Old world southern charm

  • 5 of 5

This is a southern home built in the early 1900s and every room demonstrates the attention to detail. I'm originally from the south and miss the southern history since we now live in Arizona.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the sand toys, floats, and games. They did a very good job of thinking of the little things.

Owner's Response: Thank you Monessa for coming and enjoying "sitting a spell" on the front porch. Southern roots do go deep no matter where you live. Please come again and make memories along the beautiful Indian River.

Great place for a group

  • 5 of 5

Strong Haven is a beautiful historic home. It's great for a group. We had 3 family's and had more then enough space. Comfortable beds and plenty of space to dine. Our favorite was the porch. A perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful view of the river also a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine. We had 1 teenager in our group who loved fishing off the dock. Perfect location to all the attractions. Short, easy ride to the beach. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Thanks Vivian!

Incredible sunsets

  • 5 of 5

Large, vintage house with the charm of yesteryear . All the convenience of modern times. Eating breakfast on the front porch watching the river go by was wonderful.. This house could host several generations with a bedroom and bath on first floor and several bedrooms and bath on the second floor. Hope to come back again
