About Alessandro Giuliattini

We are a couple in life and for work. We love hospitality and share what Florence, Arezzo and Tuscany have to offer in terms of beauty and life pleasures. We normally work at our own collection of handicraft lifestyle products especially in the area of towels and blankets, called Aquatellus, which you can find on its Facebook page. In order to produce it we travel extensively through the Mediterranean and in particular in Anatolia. Before starting the venture of this apartment rental we have travelled around the world for work and also pleasure and in particular Asia, North America and a good part of Western Europe. We have learn a lot from the others watching what they were preparing for us and we have tried to transfer what these clever people in the hospitality world are normally offering to their customers/friends to make them feel at home.

Anyway it is our aim not to stop here as we will try to give more and more to our guests. We really hope that at the end of your stay, you will become also our international friends.

Welcome to our beloved apartments.

Very comfortable spot in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

Of all of our stops on our family trip to Italy, the CondottaSuite was by far our most comfortable and easy. Alessandro has thought of everything. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel! The beds were so comfortable - memory foam mattresses. The apartment was so clean and tidy - no extra clutter to work around - which we found in other apartments. The location was very central, but the noise from the streets below did not bother us at all because of the sturdy windows and shutters. We honestly felt like we could have enjoyed our time in Florence just staying in the apartment! Ha! Of course we did not do that and we took Alessandro up on his many helpful recommendations. This apartment made us want to return to Florence as soon as possible!

Excellent location, good space, well maintained and updated

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is located a short walk from the Duomo and less than a mile from literally hundreds of sites, restaurants and shops. I cannot emphasize enough the value of the location. There are many other fantastic benefits. The owner, Allesandro, and his wife were wonderful hosts greeting us when we arrived and showing us the details of the apartment. The air conditioning came in handy in the evening to cool the place down for a good night sleep. The apartment is incredibly modern given the age of the building (dishwasher, stove, shower, etc.). The wifi was decent; good enough for email and casual internet surfing (though connecting to my vpn web services at work was a little too slow). Overall highly recommend this place for an awesome stay in Florence.

Perfect Florence Apartment!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, teenage son, and myself stayed in this apartment for our first visit to Florence and it was perfect. The location is excellent - you are 5 minutes from the Uffizi, the Duomo and the river, not to mention all the other sights. There is a great little grocery store steps away (Carrefour Express). The apartment was very clean and well-equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable! Lots of space to unpack in both bedrooms. The wifi was excellent. Yes, there are 3 long flights of stairs and no elevator so that might be an issue for some (it wasn't for us). Allessandro provided tons of information about the apartment before our visit, and he was there to greet us and provide all kinds of recommendations for eating out. I would highly recommend this spot!

Fabulous apartment in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is better than our expectations.

Perfect location, comfortable bed, nicely appointed, fabulous hosts, and I could go on with more adjectives but I think it is one of the best places I have stayed in Florence. The three flight of stairs is a bit tough (with all of our shopping) but great exercise after eating so well. Thank you Alessandro!

Great Location, Terrific Internet, and QUIET

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is located in the heart of Florence, close to everything. It was perfectly-sized for our family of four. The kitchen was well appointed (although we didn't really use it except to keep bottled water chilled and to make coffee and hors d'oeuvres). There's a full-fledged grocery store nearby. You do walk up two flights of stairs (no elevator), but you're walking thoughout the day in Florence anyway, so what are a few more steps?

The internet connection was first rate, we could all use our devices without any difficulties.

The apartment's windows, when closed, seal off the apartment from the street noise; the air conditioning works fine and kept everyone happy.

Alessandro met us there and checking in was a breeze. No complaints. We'll return!

Nice apartment, Great Location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this apartment for a week in late July/early August. Apartment is nice, well-kept, and Alessandro and his wife go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of wine they left as a welcome. The apartment is right in the middle of the old city about a block from the Piazza del Signoria. You can walk to anywhere and we did. Duomo, Uffizzi, Central Market, across the Ponte Vecchio and up to Michelangelo's park and Boboli Gardens. (Sorry if I am not spelling correctly.) Leather school at Santa Croce as well as all the leather shops, rooftop cafe at the department store on Piazza Repubblica (One of the best views of the Duomo while enjoying a glass of wine, a spritz or a full meal.). We walked miles and only took cabs to get from the train station and to the airport. No surprise I actually lost .5 lbs even with all the eating and drinking I did for 3 weeks!

The only drawback was having to climb the stairs once we got to the apartment. You must climb three sets of stairs - approximately 60 steps - going up and again to go down. You must be in reasonably good shape to handle this. With luggage it was a tough haul. Not a hotel so there are no porters and cabbies cannot leave car in the street long enough to help you.

This is a two bedroom apartment but I really have a hard time seeing more than one couple and maybe a child staying here. The living room has a couch and a table with 4 chairs. There is no other seating. The second bedroom is small. We put our suitcase on the bed and used it as more of a dressing area. The bathrooms have been updated and are nice but the shower stall is pretty small - reminded us of being on a cruise ship. The half bath off the master bedroom is fairly large.

It was very hot when we were in Florence so we kept both sets of shutters closed at all times to keep out the sun and heat. AC was pretty good by European standards but we had to close the door to the bedroom to get it cool enough to sleep comfortably. While you are right above a restaurant - we ate there the first night and it was good. - the street noise is minimal with windows closed.

We tried the Fishing Lab restaurant recommended by Alessandro and loved it! Not a typical Italian restaurant but seafood was really fresh and we had a ringside seat to watch the sous chef prepare appetizers. Try it if you happen to want a break from heavy Italian meals.

Mille Grazie, Alessandro!

Owner's Response: Just a note on the AC units comment. I doubt there are two standards between European and US machines. We have 3 new Mitsubishi units in the 2 bedrooms and living room. How cold can you get in an apartment of 70 sqmetrs with all 3 units on at the minimum temperature in the middle of the hottest season of Florence?? More than new machines and the highest models of the catalogue we cannot possibly offer. We can suggest for next visit to try in the late spring or early autumn where temperatures are milder and probably more pleasant indoor and outdoor. This note just because we feel to have installed the best equipment we could, without saving and it is sounds very odd the comment on the difference between our standard and the US standards
