Hilltop casa en el corazón de la Toscana con piscina privada

Esta "casa" en la Toscana es una granja cuidadosamente restaurada y ampliada que data del siglo 18. Su alto de una colina entre olivos y campos de trigo, sólo 1. 5 kilometros fuera histórico Montisi, le da un único 'fuera-de-lo-todo sentimiento ". Sin embargo, panadería, tienda de comestibles, bar / tabac y restaurante de la aldea son sólo un paseo de 15 minutos a pie entre cipreses y olivos. Las vistas son impresionantes, con el área alrededor de la piscina privada particularmente bueno para disfrutar de las puestas de sol.
Esto no es un 'desarrollar dejar' propiedad, sino una casa que durante siete años se desempeñó como un "hogar" cuando los propietarios fueron publicadas en el extranjero y ahora es su casa de vacaciones.
Está distribuido en tres plantas;
- La planta superior consta de una habitación doble con baño en suite
- El primer piso refleja la planta superior, excepto que se presenta como un dormitorio con dos camas, con baño propio con ducha / baño
- La planta baja ofrece fantásticas vistas sobre el campo de rodadura e incluye un 25 X 12 pies sala de estar con una biblioteca bien surtida y chimenea, así como una cocina totalmente equipada con una hermosa terraza de desayuno.

Unglaublich schöne Location (11/10)! Tolle Lage, umgeben von Olivenbäumen, unschlagbare Aussicht, traumhafte Ruhe, schöner Pool, 15 Minuten Spaziergang ins Dorf auf Schotterstraße (vorsicht bei tiefergelegten Autos).Im Haus ist WLAN, alle Geräte (moderne Waschmaschine/Trockner, moderner Kühl/Gefrierschrank, Gasofen/Herd, ...) und Heizung (Zentralheizung, Pelletofen und Kamin) vorhanden. Einige der vielen Steckdosen sind ohne Adapter mit Euro/Schuko-Steckern verwendbar.Sehr netter E-Mail Kontakt zur Hauseigentümerin, völlig unkomplizierter Empfang durch den Property Manager.Sehr gerne wieder!

Did not use pool. Too chilly. Laundry was great!! Loved the quaint village of Montisi. Views from villa were stunning. Adi gave great service. Had to have hot water looked at and he offered to pick us up in Chuisi from train station!!1 thing was lots of cob webs and killed several big spiders and centipede. Maybe they were all trying to find warmth with the cooler weather. Catherine was alway helpful with great info planning our trip. Thanks for the great time!

Lovely home with spectacular views! The home greatly exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed for our 6 day. When not our touring the charming small Tuscany towns, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the back porch and pool area. We kept the windows open and enjoyed the sweet breezes blowing through. If you're looking the perfect home to rent in Tuscany, this is the one.

We had a lovely time at Villa La Torre. The villa itself had everything you needed and it could have been easy to spend a week just relaxing and reading all of the wonderful books that were available or cooking with all the appliances needed for creating culinary delights! The area was peaceful and quiet. All that could be heard were the birds you could watch from the beautiful and vast view whilst sitting and relaxing over a BBQ and a glass of wine. On clear days we could see Sienna! Catherine our host was extremely helpful making check in and out easy and straightforward and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely, clean and a good size to play and swim. Our daughter spent many hours playing around in the pool and we explored the nearby towns off the advice from the host in the very informative welcome pack. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will hopefully be back!

This is a great property in a lovely peaceful location. The property has everything you need for a stay including all kitchen equipment, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Outside there are plenty of places to sit, eat or just relax, and the pool is a really good size and such a great thing to have on hot days.The useful grocery shop in Montisi village has a surprisingly good selection of products for such a small shop, including a deli counter. Lots of good places to eat locally, and some stunning nearby towns such as Montalcino and Montepulciano.Further afield you can easily make a day trip to Florence or Rome via train from Chiusi.We would love to return some time to explore the area further!

Wir hatten wirklich einen tollen Aufenthalt. Der Turm ist liebvoll restauriert mit einem tollen Garten und Pool (ca. 15m lang !!!, wirkt kleiner auf den Fotos). Der Ausblick über die toskanischen Felder könnte schöner nicht sein. Es ist wunderbar ruhig, das wirklich wundervolle Dorf Montisi ist in genau 1km fußläufig erreichbar. Dort gibt es 4 oder 5 gute Restaurants, einen Bäcker, einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen und Kunsthandwerksgeschäfte. Ein sehr authentischer und sehenswerter Ort. Ich kann sowohl das Haus, als auch die Gastgeberin und den Kontakt vor Ort uneingeschränkt empfehlen ! Es ist eher noch besser als auf den Fotos in der Realistät. Wer gerne vorbereitet ist sollte an Mückenschutz denken.

Even better than the pictures

My husband and I had a lovely stay for a week in this villa. The house and the location were perfect. Even better than we saw in the pictures. There is a large terrace in front of the house with shade and a perfect view (with sunsets) were we sat most of the day. The swimming pool was also great and you could always choose between sun or shade next to the pool. It was very quiet. No noice from traffic or anything else (except from the birds, the peacocks and crickets :-)) We have stayed in a quite a number of villas over the years (France, Spain, Italy) but this villa is definitely in our top 3.Montisi is a small but charming village. It is a 3 minute drive from the villa along a small path. You can find a bakery, a small supermarket and a very nice restaurant there. The only down side was the very hot bedroom. I understood though that the owner plans to put AC in. If that is the case than we certainly would like to go back here!

Es war eine unglaublich tolle Zeit, das Haus, der Garten und der riesige Pool sind super. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Auch für unseren dreijährigen Sohn war es toll und die Stufen im Haus waren kein Problem.Es ist ein echtes Juwel in der Toskana. Die Anfahrt war easy über einen längeren Schotterweg und wir haben ein sportliches Auto, welches eher tief liegt. Der Ort Montisi ist auch sehr schön mit tollen authentischen Restaurants! Die Kommunikation mit Catherine war top und vor Ort hat uns Adi alles gezeigt und war unser Ansprechpartner bei allen Fragen.Absolut zu empfehlen für einen Traumurlaub!

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday.

We had a wonderful stay, the location was perfect for a short 15 minute walk into Montisi. The countryside setting was lovely and peaceful. We enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful nature, watching the deer every evening was delightful. We hope to return in the future.

Like Out of a Movie-A DREAM!

Our stay was wonderful. So beautiful and idyllic! Pros: helpful host who answered all communications, gorgeous setting and amenities (pool, ping pong table, outdoor dining), washer/dryer, overflow refrigerator, linens, etc. Lovely village with wonderful people! We took a cooking class -great! Things to know b/c I like to read reviews that add details: The directions to the house are detailed, but were confusing for us at first. Adi, the caretaker, helped us. Cell service can be spotty though, especially in the village of Montisi. It got a little warm at night, but they have oscillating fans to help. Sleeping with the windows open was lovely. You will be charged for using gas for heating (and you will have to pay tourist tax). The fees were nominal, but are to be paid in cash. Make sure you have cash at departure so you can leave it. Not a complaint, just a heads up! There are bugs. In late August there were flies and mosquitos. We bought some citronella candles and spray at the grocery store and it wasn't a huge problem. On breezy nights, no problem at all! :) The decor of the house is eclectic, rustic, & has a great vibe. Some of the furnishings are a bit vintage/worn, but overall the aesthetic is nice. Lots of books to read too! Do not let these 'reminders' deter you. You will feel like a character in a movie when you stay here. It's romantic, charming, and lovely. We definitely want to return and bring family-it's a house that's meant to be shared!

Lage ist alles

Die Lage des Hauses ist fantastisch. Man hat von der Terrasse und dem Pool einen grandiosen Blick über die Crete Senesi - bei guter Sicht kann man sogar den Dom und den Turm in Siena sehen (Fernglas...). Durch die Lage hat man dort auch absolute Ruhe - was wir als Großstädter zu schätzen wussten. Für die Zufahrt sollte man aber besser ein Fahrzeug mit mehr Bodenfreiheit haben. Das Haus ist ein ehemaliger Lager-Turm, wurde also zu Wohnzwecken sehr individuell umgebaut. Auch die Einrichtung spiegelt den individuellen Geschmack der Eigentümer wider, die das Haus auch regelmäßig selbst nutzen - auch zu erkennen an den hunderten Büchern im Wohnzimmer. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Haus allerdings in einem nicht ordnungsgemäß sauberen Zustand. Hier wurde zwar schnell etwas nachgebessert, auch wurden uns neue Kopfkissen gebracht weil die vorhandenen komisch müffelten. Aber insgesamt war in sehr vielen Ecken Staub und Spinnweben, die nicht entfernt wurden. Man sollte auch nicht unbedingt Spinnenphobie haben, da man im Haus eigentlich täglich mindestens 2-3 recht große Exemplare antraf. Das Mobiliar und auch Handtücher/Bettwäsche ist zum Teil sehr abgenutzt. Auch könnte der Garten etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Das Haus hat tolles Potenzial, das aber nicht genutzt wird. Es verkauft sich in erster Linie über die Lage. Das mag den Preis zum Teil ja rechtfertigen, aber dafür ein rundum schönes Urlaubserlebnis ist uns das zu wenig.

Perfect holiday!

Wow! Such a beautiful property with absolutely mesmerising views. We absolutely loved our holiday here, the perfect place to celebrate my 50th, milestone birthday! We loved the wonderful bedroom on the top floor, cooking in the quaint kitchen, bbq'ing and eating al fresco on the beautiful terrace and veranda, playing table tennis, relaxing in the wonderful pool, we even brought lilo's at the local supermarket and spent afternoons bobbing around, enjoying the wonderful weather. The house was well equipped, all the basics for cooking, coffee, tea etc, even a nespresso machine and a lovely, much appreciated welcome basket! The local village is really friendly and Il Barino''s is a must for a delicious, long, relaxed lunch / dinner - fantastic! We came here for a much needed break and found a piece of paradise. The local bee-eater birds and their vibrant colours were incredible, the sunrises and sunsets out of this world. We highly recommend this property, absolutely wonderful!

Wonderful place in the Tuscan hilks

Our second stay which says it all! Lovely house, well equipped, super pool and eating on the terrace every day with a glorious view made it a joy. Delightful helpful owner and local man and cleaner. Many lovely restaurants and places to visit a short drive away. Highly recommended!

Property, gardens, pool, location, aspect, facilities, decor, reading material, info. provided, property manager etc. etc. All perfetto. Just needs a couple of comfy (but tasteful of course) outdoor chairs to get the full sunset and Brunello experience.

Peaceful respite

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your very comfortable home just outside the village of Montisi. The views were breathtaking and hard to leave. We enjoyed our coffee on the terrace every morning and slept like babes in the quiet! We visited many of the nearby villages and especially enjoyed a delicious dinner at Fattoria La Romita. We loved getting to know the folks at Portofranco and they had excellent wine recommendations! The house provided everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity of our stay there. It was too cool for dips in the pool but we could imagine how nice it would be. We did visit the thermal springs in Bagno Vignoni and treated ourselves to a half day at Posta Marcucci. The poppies were in bloom along with all the scotchbroom. The olive trees were amazing! I could go on and on and hope that one day we can return! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The Sweetest Tower!

Wonderful villa in great location

We absolutely loved our stay here. The villa has such character (it’s exactly as in the photos) with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And the location is perfect for exploring all the hill top villages. The local village Montisi is the perfect size - with all that we needed, without the tourists - and the locals were very friendly. Catherine is an awesome host, sending loads of helpful information prior as well as checking in on us during our stay. Although the weather wasn’t as warm as normal for May it was perfect for our adventures and we will return in summer to make use of the pool!! We would definitely recommend this villa and Catherine as a host and we look forward to returning sometime soon.

My family and I had such a lovely week staying in Montisi taking in the views and exploring the surrounding towns and villages. We took our 6 month old baby with us and before booking the owner did explain that the property is far from baby proof (steep stone steps everywhere), but thankfully our daughter wasn’t able to crawl so we didn’t have any issues. I can’t quite stress enough how stunning the views are both from the patio at the Villa (where we had our breakfast every day) and when driving through the rolling hills in the surrounding area. It felt like something from a film; we were taken away with how beautiful it was. Highly recommend this villa, it’s clear to see this is a very much loved property by the owners and we were lucky to be able to stay!

Uninterrupted views of the Crete Senese and looking to the towers in Siena 40kms away. No light pollution, night skies filled with an abundance of stars. We are at the end of a one km white road, flanked by olive trees, an oasis of calm yet a 20 minute walk to the heart of Montisi to drink a coffee at the bar or enjoy a fabulous dinner in the centre of town
