Met and exceeded my expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived in Cancun near dark with four children and in-laws who were skeptical about leaving the country to find that the rental car company had not held our reservation. After the initial scramble, it was a nice surprise to find the accommodations as promised!

Miriam is a delightful and wonderful hostess. She answered my questions about the area, pointed out good places to get the necessary groceries to take advantage of the full kitchen and had the unit cooling down for our arrival.

I highly recommend the unit. When I walked up and down the beach, I can honestly say I could not see another property that was like it or that I would want to stay at more. Having your private veranda and beach access elevates the whole experience. We sipped coffee and watched the sunrise, able to step back in and get a refill quickly. We enjoyed being able to watch the kids on the beach while making frozen drinks in the blender. And, most importantly, we had a perfect vantage point to watch the turtles that came and nested on the beach. This was an unexpected surprise, but we typically saw 8-12 turtles per night and could count up to 28 nests within view of our veranda each morning.

Also, the beach access is by the lifeguard chair. Lorenzo has been lifeguarding in that spot for 30 years and let my daughter help with turtle eggs and took us snorkeling in the national park reef that is only a 20 minute walk to the south.

The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the walls are thick and block sound well and they even provided our drinking water (which was over 20 gallons during our stay).

I hope to return to Cancun and stay again, it has definitely been one of my favorite trips.

Thank you for sharing your vacation home!

Owner's Response: Hi Phillip, We are so happy you enjoyed our vacation home. You described perfectly how we spent the last 25 years enjoying our vacation condo. Coffee on the terrace and drinks in the late afternoon. Many times we would cook in and eat on the terrace. Even when you talked about your daughter it brought a smile of happy memories to mind as i thought of how the children of our friends and co-owners enjoyed vacationing there each August and now doing it with their grandchildren. Miriam is a jewel for sure and works hard to make sure our guests take home happy memories. Thank you for letting us know and we look forward to having you back in the future. Sending our best regards, Lynette

Exactly as advertised

  • 5 of 5

The condo is spacious and everything is high quality. The beach facing patio is absolutely perfect. We prefer to cook most of our own meals as compared to all-inclusive and the kitchen has everything you need and more. The overall complex is older but the pool is clean and very nice as well. Miriam is very helpful and ensured timely access and any needs.

Perfect beach location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay here in Cancun. The location was perfect. Right on the beach with our own private access to the sand and a outdoor shower to rinse off sand and salt. Our family of four had tons of space. Each of our teenage boys had their own bedroom and bathroom and they really appreciated having access to dish tv when they were done swimming and collecting shells on the beach. The condo has everything you need for a great vacation. Comfortable beds, lots of towels, including large beach towels, a washer/dryer, and books and games for relaxing on the lovely veranda. We had an amazing time watching the sunrise. We enjoyed having the condo restaurant so close as well as two convenient stores across the street and a small store right on site. Miriam was here to greet us (at 11:30 pm!) and give us all the info we needed. She even made a special trip when we accidentally locked ourselves out! Although we did not rent a car, the buses run right by the condo non-stop. We will definitely be back next year!

Peerless location, cozy accommodations

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I brought four of our kids with us to Cancun on this trip. We have been to Cancun a few times and this visit was the best, due in no small part to the condo we rented this time. We have stayed at the Westin (next to the Regina) as well as at the Ritz; this condo outshines them both, in my opinion. The beach is literally at your feet with private access from the condo. There is a shower located midway up the steps and an additional garden hose to rid your feet of any remaining sand immediately outside the sliding glass doors.

The condo is well appointed with nearly all the comforts of home. The main living area has an AC unit, each of the three bedrooms also have AC units; we were comfortable for nearly the entire time we were in the condo. Each bedroom has an on-suite bathroom . . . and there is an additional 1/2 bathroom at the entrance to the condo. TVs in each room and in the living area if you want to stay current on U.S. news or watch your favorite shows (we didn't - we were there for the beach!).

The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and the view of the beach and ocean were the best we've ever had. The owners (previous renters?) have left many condiments in the cabinets, so be sure to look before you go shopping (we left lots of condiments, as well).

There were a couple things I thought could have been better . . . the AC unit in the bedroom nearest the ocean gives off an odor if you set it warmer than 21 Celsius (which is too cold for my wife, so we went without AC in that room for most of the trip - and that meant no sleep for me). Also, there were two jugs of potable water (which were gone in less than two days); after we drained those, we had to retrieve more from the convenience store at the entrance to the property for a few U.S. dollars per jug. The cost was not a concern, but dragging jugs of water across the complex back to our room was a bit of an inconvenience; I suggest several more jugs be available inside the condo. There are "lifeguards" scattered every few hundred yards along the beach. They seem to be there only to ruin your fun; I've never heard any lifeguard blow his whistle and make demands of swimmers as much as these guys. Overkill.

Overall, an excellent location. Miriam was helpful and attentive; always replying to my text questions promptly. This condo met our expectations and did I mention the view?!

Owner's Response: Hi Thank you for your comments. We are happy you enjoyed our condominium. We keep the condominium as if we would arrive tomorrow so it is always prepared for either us or our guests. When we purchased our condo many years ago while our building was under construction, we signed on the line when we walked through the doors and saw the view for the terrace. it is amazing. I never get tired of that view or sitting on the terrace overlooking the beautiful aqua blue of the ocean. I understand your comments about the lifeguard but he is only doing his job as the currents are sometimes strong. We look forward to your return visit next time you visit Cancun and glad you took home happy memories for you and your family. Best Regards, Lynette .

I would love to say that the place was a dump and don't stay there to keep this hidden treasure to myself however that would not be fair to the owners. I did read the review from the person who did not like it and said they only slept here and went to another hotel during the day. Let me tell you my wife likes the finer things in life and will not stay at nothing less then a 4 star. She loved it here. If you are looking for a new snazzy resort then this would not be the place other then the unit itself. If you are looking for a Resort that has old world charm with warm and friendly people then this will make you very happy. The pool was never overcrowded and we were always able to find chairs to lounge in. The view was magnificent! They have an onsite restaurant which was delicious and incredibly reasonable with the most beautiful view. We ate there every morning. As far as the unit itself goes well we loved it so much we are planning next years trip the exact same way. 5 days at this unit and them we move to our unit at the Royal Caribbean which is also Ocean front ground floor. It was really nice to have stayed at both places. Our place at the Royal Caribbean will end after next year which makes us very said because we love Cancun. We thought about buying another timeshare however after staying at this unit we will not need to. Here is another thing I would like to mention. The restaurant 19.5 which Miriam the units contact person told us about. We walked past it and my wife who as I had mention earlier is a little high maintenance saw picnic benches and said no thank you. Well everyone was a little to sunburn the second night so we decided to stay in. Wasn't a hard decision, the view in incredible. I order takeout at 19.5 which is just a across the street and brought back to the unit. It was so good my wife say OK lets try going there. We sat at the bench and watched a remarkable sunset while eating a fabulous dinner at a very reasonable price. We also ate at Harry's where the bill was $250 and I liked 19.5 almost as much for $60. The bottom line have an open mine when you go places. The hotel is one of the older hotels in Cancun which gave it its charm. Most of the time when people say charm you stay away, I mine it in a very positive way, the hotel is clean with a lot of updates. The unit itself was wonderful. Great view, clean, updated and had great cell service and also wifi. I would go on but I am out of space!

Great condo on the beach

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this condo for a week in March 2017. This place has a great location on the south end of the hotel zone. Staying at a condo right on the ocean with beach access was fantastic. We loved the ocean breezes and large patio to hang out on. If you want to cook meals, this condo all you need, including some basics like oil, vinegar, and assorted left behind by previous guests. We took the bus to the "Selecto" a large grocery store in the hotel zone.

We ate out at the 2 restaurants across the street; Joe's 19.5 km restaurant (very casual) and Navios ( fantastic food and views right on the lagoon).

Highly recommend this condo in Cancun!.

Owner's Response: Hi, Thanks so much for your comments. We've enjoyed our condo for almost 30 years and love it when others enjoy it as well. Our goal to make sure our guests go home with happy memories. Navios is one of our favorite restaurants, among others that are close by like Fed's, Casa Rolandi and Puerto Madero. Hopefully you will consider us again in your future vacation plans Best Regards, Lynette .
