New for 2024, AC in both bedrooms and on the 3rd floor. Casa Bella Vista is a typical Ligurian House with stunning sea views .The village of Manarola is situated within the unique landscape of the Cinque Terre National Park. The property has been renovated to a high standard and includes Wi-Fi. The accommodation is provided over four floors with the additional benefit of a roof terrace. The ground floor entrance leads to a living and dining area with seating for 6, with a fully equipped kitchen on the 3rd floor. A spiral staircase provides access to the roof terrace for outdoor dining and casual seating. Bathrooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floor, and each include a shower, toilet and bidet. The bedroom on the 1st floor has two single beds, the bedroom on the 2nd floor has a king sized bed. A double sofa-bed is situated on the 3rd floor.
The property is a five minute walk up a steep hill from the centre of the village, and is therefore not ideal for very young children or the infirm.

Getting to Manarola: The most convenient airports for the Cinque Terre are Pisa, Genova (Genoa), and Parma. Travel from the airport to Manarola is best by train, as vehicles are not permitted in the village, however public pay parking is available at the top of the village, euro 20 per day. Alternatively, it is possible to arrange in advance a private garage space at an additional cost of euro 25 per night.

Local facilities : Manarola has several excellent restaurants and bars, two pizzerias, a gelateria, juice bar and a cash machine. As a working village, it also has two small supermarkets, a pharmacy, Post Office and a selection of shops selling locally made gifts and produce.

Out and about: The best way to discover the Cinque Terre is on foot, along the many paths through terraced vineyards and olive groves giving spectacular views of the sea. The five villages of the Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso each have their own unique identity, and a wealth of history to explore.

Further afield, La Spezia is the largest town in the area, and is reached easily by a 10 minute train journey. Portofino and Portovenere are also good destinations.

We loved this location. We got to visit all 5 villages and were so glad to pick Manarola and specifically this apartment. The views were stunning and very easy to get to. Just as the pictures and description. Would definitely consider staying there again!

Should be noted that there are 4 sets of stairs - the last one being a spiral wrought iron one. No washroom on main floor and the actual kitchen is on the 4th floor so not good for anyone with mobility issues or small children. Rooftop view is amazing.

This is THE best place to stay in Manarola. Yes there are stairs and yes low ceilings. However. I’m 6’2” and 62 years old and would stay here again in a minute. We enjoyed pizza and sunset on the rooftop terrace and the ease of access to the town. No steps all the way from parking to the villa (you will appreciate how nice this is once you arrive.) Jo was always responsive and helpful.

Beautiful views from our terrace. MANAROLA was the best place for us to be while we hiked Cinque Terre. The twin beds were in the hard side for the two adults who stayed there. Thee queen bed was fine.

We loved this house on many fronts- incredible place to call home fur a few days! …plenty of space, kitchen with rooftop patio/seating, gorgeous expansive views from every room, and privacy and proximity to the train and town. Kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Exactly as described with easy check-in. (doorways and ceilings are low and stairs are steep so be mindful of that if you have any mobility concerns).

We loved our stay in Manarola. The rooftop deck and views were incredible, and the location was perfect for exploring Cinque Terre.One thing to know: the apartment is spread across 5 levels with steep polished wood staircases that are very slippery. Everyone in our group either slipped on the stairs or hit their head on the low ceilings at some point, nothing serious. We would not recommend this property for elderly guests, young children, tall people, anyone planning to drink heavily, or if you like to walk around in socks.That said, for the right group, it was a really memorable stay.

Casa Bella Vista is certainly true to its name. What a special and spectacular property! We stayed with our 2, 23 yo sons (both over 6’ tall) and we all agreed it was amazing. The home itself was clean and well stocked. The towels were oversized and the sheets were very comfortable. I mention the height of our sons because the inside stairs could pose a challenge for taller individuals, however they did not have any issues. The walk to the apartment is no more challenging than any walk in Cinqueterre (less, actually) so was to be expected. The uniqueness of the home really made it a pleasurable stay! It truly felt like ‘home’. And…the rooftop view truly makes this property worth every penny.

Jo was very responsive and the photos in the listing are accurate. We have been to Manarola previously and were very pleasantly surprised with the walk up to the property. No steps, rather a well paved walkway to pull up suitcases. It is still uphill, but much easier than the steep stairs. Plus, the view walking up and when reaching the sea is worth every step.

Family Trip in Manarola

Fantastic, clean property with stellar views. Management was excellent to deal with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. There are steep, narrow stairs in the villa so I would not recommend this property for anyone with any type of mobility issues.
