We had a beautiful stay in this lovely apartment! Christina was a wonderful host and we fell in love with Riomaggiore! Be prepared for lots of stairs/hill climbing in town and to the apartment. I promise you it will be worth it and in the end helps you burn off all of the calories from the pasta & focaccia!

The first walk up to the apartment was the hardest with the luggage (3rd floor, steep and narrow), but the view is worth it! The apartment was easy enough to find and the hosts were communicative. Riomaggiore is a beautiful village. Apartment is right next to the Old School restaurant… which is amazing, as well as the gelato shop a few paces down the street. The apartment is clean and the hosts provide all basic necessities. Would be helpful to have a few extension cords etc. for charging phones. Definitely would stay again!

This was my second time in Riomaggiore and I liked this apartment much more than the one I rented last year. This apartment was wonderful ! It was not on the main stretch, spacious, with a balcony and an amazing view ! The small details were also nice: coffee, cold water in the fridge, and hairdryer. The shower was great and the 3 of us (me, husband and 20 year old daughter) stayed very comfortably !!!! I would stay here again, in a heartbeat !

Cristina’s is a lovely VRBO with many amenities that we didn’t expect (coffee, laundry pods, cold water bottles in the fridge). It is bright and cheery with an amazing view from the balcony (which also has a clothesline for drying clothes).The only reason I gave it four stars was that there were a couple of communication glitches upon checkin (didn’t receive the code to use the elevator or the code to the key box). Other than that it was a wonderful place and I would highly recommend it for anyone staying in the Cinque Terre area.

Our family of 4 loved Cristina’s apartment in Riomaggiore! The location was amazing and we had plenty of room for my 2 teen boys. We would highly recommend this location, as it was very convenient with the elevator near the train station.

Gorgeous views over Riomaggiore from this cheerful, sunny aerie.

This is a clean and tidy flat, nicely appointed for a couple or a small family. It's located above the central part of town (which mean the views are spectacular), but it's still a relatively easy climb up from the main square. A small balcony overlooks the town and provides a nice view of the glittering Meditteranean. Very relaxing place to stay.

Cristina’s Apartment is amazing. Every bit of what you would expect from the photos. No hidden surprises other than the view. It’s something you just have to see in person. The apartment is very comfortable with all the needed essentials including a fully stocked kitchen. Communication is quick and the checkin process was clear and easy to follow. We highly recommend this Cristina’s Apartment!At the risk of stating the obvious, if you are planning your first trip to Cinque Terre, beware of the stairs. Each of the five villages are built on steep hills and there is no avoiding the endless amount of stairs and hill climbing. Good knees, a good back, and a fair level of fitness will go a long way in making your visit perfect.

Cristina has a wonderful apartment in Riomaggiore. It is a very nice town not too busy not too quiet. Always somewhere to eat and somewhere to drink but not overcrowded. The apartment itself is quite stunning and you will not tire of the view, easy easy access to all of the other terre - everything you could wish for and Cristina is most helpful. Absolutely perfect!

Even lovelier than the photos! Our family of four stayed in this delightful property this summer -- our third recent visit to Cinque Terre. The second bedroom was ideal for our two teen daughters, the master a lovely retreat. The comforts of home (i.e. washing machine, dishwasher, and well-equipped kitchen) were much appreciated. The property was very clean, the balcony overlooking Riomaggiore and the sea, a lovely spot for meals. We can't wait to return! Thank you Christina and Luca for assisting us with our reservation needs and being so prompt to respond to any questions. Five-stars!

Steps!

Small apartment that had all basic needs. Just big enough for two couples. Hot water was an issue. Read the guide very thoroughly…finally got hot water after turning the instant hot water tank to the highest setting. Wanted to walk on “lovers lane” but needed the welcome pass with barcode that was provided only when we asked for it. The view was very very nice. Beds are a bit hard but comfortable. Entrance gate did not lock but had to go through two locked doors so it felt secure. Small refrigerator and freezer but andequate and very limited ice. You stay here for location and view.

Ok, let's exlpain better. If you coplmpalin about steps it means that you did not understand the so called Vertical Landscape you were visiting.... steep hills going down into the ocean, make the villages and the houses packed of STEPS. The apartment is inside a building originally built around 1600. All apartments were planned without elevators!!! and forgetting the needs of years 2000 tourists.... so the apartment is for 4 people, with adeguate accomodations. I wonder why you had to change the hot water set up, as none of the guest before you and after you complained. Beds are "hard", again based on your personal opinion. No complains in previous reviews. The sliding entrance gate does not close because it is easier to live with it in this way, for people and guests living in the building. As you say has a main entrance door and the apartment door. We live in a safe area, and 2 doors are enough. The welkome pass is a "new entrance " for the newly re-opened Via dell' Amore. It is very time consuming for the Host to ask for it for all guests, and it was not previewd until few weeks ago. I hope the process will be changed soon. Yes, the view is crazy, living in Cinque Terre is crazy! if you understand it. When I studied in San Diego 40 years ago, I did not complain for a not great American Food at the college. It was my personal opinion only.

Unfortunate choice

Anyone traveling to Riomaggiore should be aware that carrying anything but a small roll on is a trauma. The height and stairs make it impossible to travel with more than that. Upon arriving at the apartment there was a deluge of water and cleaning supplies at the front door. Once inside the apartment we found ants in the kitchen as well as hair in the shower. If nothing else you expect the apartment to be cleaned and inspected. We were charged $25.00 a night to park our car in the garage but the remote to allow access in and out was not working. If you are charging for a service it’s imperative to confirm all items are in working order and clean. Unfortunately we will not be back.

Hi. I see hour note and I apologize for ants and the not perfect cleaning. Indeed it is the first rewiew to point it out. I am sorry. Regarding parking it is cheaper than public parking whixh is at 35 euro per day. Riomaggiore and 5 Terre region is named as The Vertical Landscape; maybe there is a ratio behind that. STEPS ARE EVERYWHERE. Inside houses, to go from sea up to the villages, from home to train station or car parking, to walk the paths. Maybe you were not aware of it. Then, because of high hills facing the ocean, there is NO SPACE. None of the villages has free parking or space enough to park cars. This is why most of visitors arrive by train. Logistic is complicated for food or whatever else. If you then decide to come in December it is highly probable to find rain and sea and wind storm. Even the snow in Jan.and Feb. For such events we can do really nothing.

I was born and I live in this wonderful area of Italy, where Riomaggiore is one of the most important villages of the Ligurian coast and of the Cinque Terre.

What makes this property unique

An easy place, strategic, out of herds!
The upper side of the village is very calm, above all during high season, but far and close to everithing (shops, restaurants, cafe, paths, train station or car parking) in few steps, with a special seaview. It is fantastic to seat o the balcony looking at the colours of the sky and sea changing during the day, or the village life staring from above. Get out on San Giovanni piazza, a short walk and arrive in Via Cristoforo Colombo, the main road for shops, taking down to the marina, to the ferry boat stop and to the beach.
The apartmen is very compfortable, all new. The open space sitting room and kitchen give on the double balcony, then the double bedroom with its dress cabin, the 2 single beds room and a large shower room. WiFi, TV, washing mashine, hoven and dishwasher are there.
