This 3 bedroom 2 full bath updated home is 7 miles (as the crow flies) to the Pacific Ocean; ideally located to Malibu and Ventura County (even Los Angeles activities are only about 25 miles away) Fully remodeled kitchen to include slow close cabinets, center island, custom granite counters and all stainless steel appliances. Open concept kitchen, ideal for gatherings. 60 inch flat screen television in living room; custom master bedroom also has a 50" flat screen television, as well as the 2nd bedroom, which as a 40" television on the wall. Surround sound stereo system through out the entire house! Our home is equipped with a whole house soft water unit, reverse osmosis system for drinking water and our electricity is 100% solar powered. Back yard is absolutely perfect for entertaining. Custom patio cover with over 700 square feet of concrete, pool table and ping pong table with multiple seating areas on the patio. There are 45 lights under the patio cover, allowing the evening time to continue all night long! Walk to Starbucks, Albertsons, Trader Joes, local coffee shops or multiple restaurants! We're literally .02 miles away! Beautiful little neighborhood in one of the best little cities in California! Come stay here, you won't be disappointed!!

About Mary

We are health conscience, active parents whose time has come to enjoy our lives. Our children have all grown up and moved out. We have 3 amazing grandchildren and LOVE spending time with them. We are prideful in the things we own and love to share with like minded people. Vacation Renting IS OUR BUSINESS. We take it very serious and our goal is to exceed our guests expectations.

Why Mary chose Newbury Park

My husband actually grew up in this house over 35 years ago. We bought it to keep it in the family. We have completely remodeled it to bring it up to date, make it fun and to our liking. It is absolutely perfect for us when we come to town and when the kids and grandkids come visit, there is plenty of space for everyone.

What makes this house unique

We are so close to everything Southern California has to offer. Santa Barbara is a mere 30 miles north on the most beautiful drive in the country, Pacific Coast Highway. Malibu is just over the hill. Ventura and Oxnard are about 15 miles away. There is the Camarillo outlet mall about 5 miles away and the beautiful Oaks Mall is 2 miles from our home. Every amazing restaurant is within 10 minutes from us. But most of all, we love the quiet, homey feel of our town and we think you will too!.

Gorgeous clean new home!!

This was the perfect landing spot for our family when coming back from living abroad. SUPER NEW/ incredibly well done remodel. Every centimeter was CLEAN and the beds were comfortable. We used the backyard area all the time... and weirdly it was a JOY to do laundry there! LOL! Highly recommend this spot with amazing hosts! Thank you!

Comfortable and Spotless

We really enjoyed staying at Mary and Marco's home. The pictures are accurate as their home is bright, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and immaculate!!

Porter Ranch, CA, USA

Comfortable, Convenient and Contemporary

We had the pleasure of living in this one story modern home for 3 months while we were displaced from Porter Ranch during the SoCal Gas Leak. You can tell by the other reviews that Mary & Marco are incredibly nice, friendly and responsive owners. The photos and descriptions are accurate which has not been the case for other VRBO rentals we have had. The only thing missing are the gorgeous roses that outline the front and backyard. Newbury Park is a suburb of Thousand Oaks. The location is amazingly convenient. Albertsons and Starbucks are 3 blocks away. There are lots of restaurants nearby including Sesame Inn which has very good Chinese. The Camarillo designer outlets and the upscale mall called THE OAKS are a 10 minute drive. Lots of good hiking spots in the hills. The beach in Ventura & Port Hueneme isn't far. You can rent a sailboat at Ventura Harbor. Back to the house....This is a really well designed space. When I first saw it I felt like I was walking into one of those spectacular HGTV makeovers. The taupe, chocolate brown and white color scheme is very soothing to live with. The house is well appointed with comfortable beds & several couches. Personally, I think it's ideal for 3 adults, comfortable for 4 and yes, you could sleep a few more. They have a perfect set up for entertaining. The kitchen is an open concept flowing into the adjacent TV den area and the living room out to the large concrete back patio equipped with ping ping, pool table, outdoor dining table and lots of seating. I loved cooking in the new kitchen and appreciated the upscale Kitchen Aide appliances and gas stove. It is well stocked with white China, modern glasses, good knives and pots& pans. The house is wired with surround sound and Direct TV in 3 rooms. I set up my own PC and printer in the room taping into their internet. It was a nice office with big desk, exec chair and pull out queen sleeper sofa. BTW, You must have a cell phone as there is no landline. Great water pressure and no need to buy drinking water with their reverse osmosis system. Nice new washer & dryer in the garage. It is fun to sit out in the front yard with a glass of wine and say hello to the neighbors as they walk their dogs between 5-7pm. They have a fire pit and comfy cushioned chairs in front. A concept I plan on adopting in my own home! I could go on and on but you get the idea. It is a NICE house with wonderful owners in a pleasant quiet neighborhood. We loved it and would return.

Delightful California weekend

This is a beautiful home and the owner goes out of the way to accommodate for your needs.

Modern well equipped kitchen with everything you would need to prepare a gourmet meal, but close enough to amenities to never cook!

Plush towels were a delight and even provided extra towels for the beach.

We loved the covered patio area.

Could not have been more pleased with the entire experience.

I love this place!!

Mary and Marco's house to be perfect for my family trip to Thousand Oaks for a wedding. I would have had to book three hotel rooms for my family, so staying at a house saved us money. Add to that that we had a beautiful kitchen and living area, -- and a pool table - what could be better!! It's walking distance to a grocery store and a Starbuck's, and easy to get to. The house was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable. My deposit was returned in full before I even got home! I definitely will stay here again!

Camarillo outlet mall is less than 5 miles away, always a fun shopping day! The Oaks Mall is about 2 miles away and is an upper scale giant shopping arena with many restaurants to choose from. The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is local and has some great live theatre. Hiking and trails are endless in the Santa Monica mountains. Beaches are right over the mountain ridge. Malibu is a short trip over Kanan Road. We have the beautiful Botanical Gardens, which is a must see. Ronald Regan museum is about 15 miles away, again a truly must see!
