Welcome to Desert Blue

Our newly remodeled home is in the heart of Moab but feels a world away. The house is situated down a dirt lane which turns into a private road with very little traffic. It is quiet and peaceful with a truly rural feel. Our location is ideal! It is easy walking distance to main street; the recreation center with pool and fitness center; paved bike path and many other conveniences of town.

Our remodeled home feels brand new and is clean and fresh. We have custom cabinets, granite counter tops, beautiful hard wood floor through out and new kitchen appliances. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with walk in showers. The large bedroom has a king size memory foam bed and its own sitting area. The second bedroom has a queen bed with its own full bathroom. The third bedroom has two twin beds. The furnishings are uniquely rustic and eclectic with a luxurious at home feel.

Enjoy sitting or eating on the back patio in the large newly landscaped yard. We have a BBQ grill on the patio and also other seating areas around the property for you to relax and enjoy the surrounding red rock views. This lot is very private!

Going to town? No need to deal with parking when visiting main street. We have plenty of parking.

This is a great place to unwind after all your Moab adventures. .... come, put up your feet and enjoy!

About Andrea Shotwell

We live in Northern Utah and first arrived in Moab 25 years ago. It has been a very special place for us ever since. We purchased property near by about 14 years ago and you can often find us climbing, hiking and exploring here in spring and fall when we aren't working. We purchased this property in June 2014 and have spent the summer working on it with friends and a few awesome hard working locals. We hope you can enjoy the area as much as we do.

A Perfect House in a Beautiful Place

Our stay here was fabulous. The location is very close to downtown allowing easy access to stores, restaurants, and shops. The house itself is perfect for two or three couples or a family with three bedrooms and two baths, and is equipped with every possible need for preparing and serving meals. The house is decorated with many interesting touches, and the outside has been landscaped beautifully. We were able to enjoy the patio in the evening, and used the barbeque to prepare some of our meals. I would strongly recommend this home for any group of four to six who intend to stay in Moab for three days or more. It is far superior to any hotel or motel alternative. Moab Oasis

Came here with another couple; first time in Moab. FANTASTIC! Beautifully appointed, bedrooms on opposite ends of home, really comfortable beds, cleanclean, more than enough towels, minimal move-out responsibilities, private! The patio and back yard: again, an oasis! Coffee on the patio, drinks on the patio, relaxing on the patio. All so quiet! Two streets up to shops and restaurants but feels a world away. Highly recommend staying here and will do so if we come back.

Shhhhhh . . . don't tell anyone so the prices don't rise and the availability doesn't disappear!

perfect fit

Our stay was wonderful. We liked the location being close to town but yet private and quiet.

The home is well finished and appointed. We appreciated the work and love involved in creating this vacation rental from the interior finishes to the exterior landscaping and sitting areas. It was great. It was a perfect fit for 2 couples. Also great parking if you have a trailer.

Perfect

Positively perfect in every way! Just a gorgeous home, wonderful location, moments from the main street but so tranquil and calm. Deer each evening in neighbours gardens. Home just perfect with everything you need, very spacious, wonderfully decorated, very high standard and spec. Well stocked kitchen (sandwich boxes so handy for our days out hiking!) After a week in hotel rooms it was great to base ourselves in the same place for a week - laundry facilities really appreciated!!. Fantastic outdoor area to relax in after a day's hiking. Andrea was great to deal with. (If this home was not over 6,000 from where we live and it was available, I would buy the whole thing, furniture and all without hesitation!!). I am so glad we found this property as I was beginning to despair at the choices in Moab. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property. You don't feel like you are in a rental, I really did feel like I was at home. 19 years since we lasted visited Moab so let's see what happens in the next 19 years!
