Overview

About the property

Quaint house with farm like feel tucked down a quiet dirt lane. Walk to town!

Welcome to Desert Blue

Our remodeled home is in the heart of Moab but feels a world away. The house is situated down a dirt lane which turns into a private road with very little traffic. It is quiet and peaceful with a truly rural feel. Our location is ideal! It is easy walking distance to main street; the recreation center with pool and fitness center; paved bike path and many other conveniences of town.

We remodeled our home a few years ago. We have custom cabinets, granite counter tops, beautiful hard wood floor through out and new kitchen appliances. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms, each with walk in showers. The large bedroom has a king size memory foam bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed with its own full bathroom. The third bedroom has two twin beds. The furnishings are uniquely rustic and eclectic with a luxurious at home feel.

Enjoy sitting or eating on the back patio in the large newly landscaped yard. We have a BBQ grill on the patio and also other seating areas around the property for you to relax and enjoy the surrounding red rock views. This lot is very private!

Going to town? No need to deal with parking when visiting main street. We have plenty of parking.

This is a great place to unwind after all your Moab adventures. .... come, put up your feet and enjoy!

About Andrea Shotwell

We live in Utah and first arrived in Moab 25 years ago. It has been a very special place for us ever since. We purchased property near by about 14 years ago and you can often find us climbing, hiking and exploring here in spring and fall when we aren't working. We purchased this property in June 2014 and have spent the summer working on it with friends and a few awesome hard working locals. We hope you can enjoy the area as much as we do.

Why Andrea Shotwell chose Moab

We loved the quiet lot next to town,

lots of wild life because we are close to the creek,

walking to the town for coffee and gelato,

walk to yoga,

close to climbing ,

close to bike trails ,

lots of exploring

What makes this house unique

The creative fences we built this summer,

mostly all native plants in the yard with low water usage,

In town location with out of town feel

Great location

  • 4 of 5

The location was perfect! It was super quiet and easy to find and get around.

My only 2 points are that the king bed is terrible, it's like sleeping in quicksand. I slept in the twin bed instead, which really wasn't ideal. Also the king bedroom I think could use to have the carpets shampooed it smells like smoke.

The other 2 quests in the party had the master bedroom and seemed happy with that. I would highly recommend a new mattress for the king room.

The communication during reservations and check in were wonderful, I felt that I had all the information I had to check in easy and feel right at home, so thank you for that.

Moab Home

  • 5 of 5

This home is very comfortable and has a well stocked kitchen. We loved the furnishings. It was perfect for the four of us. We loved sitting out back on the patio after a long day of hiking. It was quiet and peaceful while sitting there. It was a nice surprise to see a family of deer close by in the mornings. The location of this home is ideal. It is a short drive away from Arches National Park, Canyonlands, or wherever you choose to go in this beautiful area. It is within walking distance to the local restaurants and shops which is a plus.

Convenient and comfortable home minutes walk from downtown Moab

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this convenient, comfortable, tasteful, and well appointed home just a few minutes walk from the center of downtown Moab. The home has a very private location at the end of a cul-de-sac. It has spacious and comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen/living area. There is a separated laundry room. The backyard has a large and comfortable covered sitting area as well as a clothes line. The large round kitchen dining table provides a very inviting atmosphere. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan. The bathrooms are lovely and include large showers. The house is tastefully decorated, very homey, and well appointed.

A great Moab get away

  • 5 of 5

The place was immaculate and had all the amenities we desired. We loved the outdoor space. The landscaping was wonderfully done with local plants and a respect for precious water limits. The inside space when we were there was cozy with a well appointed kitchen. The place was quiet and off the main road. Even though we were an easy walk into town it felt like we were miles away. Great place - thanks

Great place!

  • 4 of 5

This house is so convenient to walking to downtown and all of it's shops and restaurants. The bedrooms were nice as well as the bathrooms. We loved the outdoor space for lounging after a busy day of hiking. We could have stayed a few more days at this lovely house.
