Perfect in Every Way!

  • 5 of 5

We were told that once we used HomeAway, we would never go back to motels. That is absolutely correct and this property was a perfect example. Great location in Meridian, just 12 minutes from the grandkids. The community pool was absolutely perfect! The residence was spotless and met every amenity on our checklist.

Thank you!

Great family stay

  • 4 of 5

This house was perfect for our family to stay while in town. The pool/splash pad and playground is great for kids, the house is comfortable and clean, and the abundant "homey" amenities were a great/unexpected surprise. The neighborhood is nice, quiet and friendly. Darrell was easy to work with and friendly.

We would stay again if in the area.

PS - I only give 5 stars if extraordinary, but this place was exactly what we were looking for and the photos are what you get (which doesn't always happen on VRBO). We had zero complaints or issues.

This is a very small house with no pantry, and some uncomfortable interactions with the landlord

  • 3 of 5

The house is older and lacks the space to make it truly comfortable for a vacation home for as many people as it said it slept. The neighborhood pool was fantastic, but the landlord came to the house four times in our two week stay... very uncomfortable. He was there when we arrived even though we had instructions on how to enter the home - it felt like it was to check us out. He later admitted the neighborhood is not happy with his short term rental contracts. He asked us to never park on the street, presumably to make the neighbors happy, but everyone else parks there... so just not us? We felt looked at and judged by the neighbors. The landlord came back three other times, twice to do various yard work items that could have easily been left for after we had left. He is kind, but this was ackward. The furniture is dated and uncomfortable, and almost an afterthought. The main couch had a plank under the cushion since the springs were likely broken long ago. Owner was good about fixing a garage door issue the same day while we were there. Good location, but we would not likely stay again.

Owner's Response: Hard to respond to this commentary especially in light of all the other 5 star reviews this property has garnered. Sorry if the tenant was uncomfortable with my arrival but first, I let him know I was coming and second, the home's sprinkler system needed maintenance which during the summer and 100 degree heat, is of great importance. His affront at my taking care of my property is something that is in his court, not mine. I can't help but to make note of the fact that the folks who stayed in the home immediately after these folks had left, gave us a 5 star review totally contradicting the inane comments of this tenant. The home is only 12 years old, has slab granite countertops in the kitchen and every bathroom. I will concede that the sofa in the living room was below par but we have since replaced it with a much nicer leather couch and put a elevated flat screen TV w/175 channels in the master bedroom.
