This 4th European floor apartment (sorry, no elevator), in an 18th century building with courtyard and pleasant ambiance, offers a nice rooftop view of the Centre Pompidou, just a three minute walk. Here you will find the hustle and bustle of the Beaubourg, with its street entertainers; it has become a gathering place for people of all ages. All through this Quartier you will find wonderful old buildings with admirable facades dating from the 16th century, some have been transformed into remarkable museums, but most importantly the history of this area has been well preserved and is a delight to experience.
The apartment itself is very bright and cheerful. large windows allow natural light to illuminate each room and mirrors echo that light throughout the space. Bold colors and prints infuse the space with carefree style. Modern contemporary furnishings mix with classic trimmings for that certain "je ne sais quoi".
Off the entryway the living area becons with its floor to cieling windows. All windows are extra soundproofed so you can enjoy the views with out the noise. There is a comfortable dining area here and a high quality double sofa bed. The kitchen is opposite the living room and is very well equipped for meal prep with an oven, gas stove top, dishwasher and other usual kitchen features. The bedroom is cheery and offers a queen size bed and adequate closet/storage space. The bathroom is large by Paris standards and has a large bathtub with hand held shower and also a washer/dryer combo unit.
Ten minutes away, is one of the most beautiful squares in Paris known as "La Place des Vosges", where you will find fine dining as well as art and clothing boutiques to suit your taste. Once known as the Place Royale, it was once the courtyard of the royal palace.
Further along will bring you to the "Place de la Bastille", a historic Paris intersection of several important thoroughfares connecting the 3rd, 4th, 11th, and 12th arrondissements, where many events of the 1789 revolution took place. This was once the home of the Man in the Iron Mask, imprisoned by Louis XIV. Today on this former site of the Bastille is the Opera House where spectacular events and operas are performed from Aida to Zaide!
With so much history and culture to explore within minutes of your apartment, you may forget to explore the rest of the city!
