My name is Claudia, I was born in Tuscany and i moved to Florence to study Art History. I immediately fell in love with this city and from that moment I never wanted to leave. I have lived and worked here for almost 30 years and i’m still astonished/amazed/ breathless by its beauty and history.I bought my apartment in via Fiesolana from an italian artist named Gabriele that used it as its studio, and the rooms still reflects the same disposition the artist needed to paint his works of art. It was love at first sight for me, from the moment i saw the apartment I realized it had to be mine. This apartment in via Fiesolana had been my home for many unforgettable years and I really hope that my guests could experience the same feelings of happiness i felt in this apartment.
What makes this Apartment unique
It’s very difficult to describe the reasons why I immediately fell in love with my apartment, they were just a bunch of unexplainable feelings. Some of the unique characteristics that hit me were the very high ceiling and the artistic glass window you could admire in the living room, a work by the Italian artist Gabriele, who was the previous owner of the apartment; the fireplaces, one of them with a head of Eolo the top also by Gabriele, the views on the roofs of Florence, the ancient wooden floor of the living room and the warm atmosphere that comes from any room. The big papier-mâché mask in the living-room was made by Gabriele too, he always loved to call it “Lo spirito della casa” (The soul of the house), it has been put there by the artist and it has always been there.

It was wry handy.
I just struggled with the stairs
A very fun and quirky place in Florence. The host left us with many tips on things to see and do in Florence. There is 4 flights of stairs so you need to be sure you're okay with that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A little gem in the heart of Florence
We stayed four amazing nights in this place. Everything about the apartment is perfect. The kitchen is big enough to cook breakfast. It even has dishwasher. The beds are comfortable. We had amazing four nights of our best sleep in Florence. The owner David and Claudia were always willing to help you with any questions that we had. They even greeted as in a bus station and guided us to the apartment on our arrival in Florence. We will greatly recommend this place if you want to stay in Florence.
Great stay - Beautiful apartment
We had a great 3-night stay during our vacation in beautiful Florence! The apartment is so nice and trully romantic...
It has everything that someone might need for some days, two seperate bedrooms and very nice spaces and furniture!!
Also the parking space near the apartment ( just a few minutes walk ) was very important and helpful...
Claudia & David, thank you a lot for the wonderful stay!!
Very comfortable and clean. Great location.
It would be easy to spend a longer stay here. We stayed for four nights. It is close to the historical sites yet far enough to be out of the tourist noise. It is about a 20-25 minute walk from the train station. The owner gave some excellent dining suggestions which were minutes from the apartment. There is also a grocery store close by. The owners left a lot guide books for our use. There is a tv and stereo but we never used them. There is a good washing machine and clothes line which can be very handy. We would gladly stay here again.
Scott e la sua famiglia sono stati ospiti carini e simpatici. Molto educati. Entusiasti della vacanza e gratificanti nel giudizio dell'appartamento
Grazie di cuore!
Very clean and was great for our needs
We had a wonderful stay at Claudia’s place. It was great to be greeeted upon arrival to be shown the apartment. She was responsive and very helpful prior to booking, and it lived up to expectations and the pictures. The location was great- very close to all the site, but enough off the beaten path to feel authentic. Great stay!
Sant’ambrogio is a lively neighborhood where you will experience the mood of old Florence, with its busy daily life, its sounds and smells, the taste of the original Florentine tradition, just like in the novels by Vasco Pratolini: the colorful local market in Sant’Ambrogio, the street market with its old furniture and antique objects, and the characteristic Florentine “trippaio”! In this area of the city you could find a wide choice of restaurants, typical trattorie, pizzerie, coffee shops, bistrot, ice-cream parlours, bar and pubs where you could drink a cocktail before and after dinner. Right here, in the neighborhood of Sant’Ambrogio, you could taste the best pizza in town at “Pizzaiuolo", the freshest fish in town at “Vivo", the traditional taste of homemade Tuscan food at “Rocco”. Don’t forget to have a coffee outside at the local “Caffè Sant'Ambrogio” and visit the beautiful and historical structure of “Le Murate” (former jail of Florence) with its “Caffè letterario”. In this area there are also a lot of nightclubs such as the “Rex”, cinemas and theaters suche the ancient “Teatro Verdi” and “Teatro della Pergola”. For those of you that are looking for an unforgettable experience there is “Teatro del sale” with its unique offer of traditional high quality cooking and followed by fascinating live shows.
A few minutes walk from the apartment you could find every facility you need, a new post office, bank offices, pharmacies, the Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, bycicle rent e and big supermarket Conad, that sells high quality products and it’s open from 08:00 am to 09:00 pm.
