About Tim Gough

Brothers Tim and Dan Gough purchased what was known as Blue Harbor Farm as a family summer getaway as well as a Fall/Winter fishing and hunting oasis. As native Western Shore Marylanders, the Gough brothers have enjoyed the bounty of the Eastern Shore on long weekends and family vacations their entire lives. In the spirit of fond, family memories, shortly after closing on the property, the brothers re-named the farm after the road their childhood home resided on...Rolling View Drive.

Tim Gough purchased this farmhouse in 2014

Why Tim Gough chose Eastern Shore

The waterfront, open space, privacy and tranquility are the perfect combination for a family vacation. The property can easily host multiple families for that once in a lifetime re-union. The waterfront enthusiast and nature lover will not find a more desirable retreat to enjoy lazy afternoons in the riverfront hammock, a competitive game of volleyball or horseshoes, or fishing/crabbing/water skiing (boat/accessories not included) steps from your front door. A manicured, grass field behind the house will accommodate a friendly game of football, softball, soccer or lacrosse for all family members to highlight their athletic prowess!

What makes this farmhouse unique

Privacy and tranquility are felt the moment one turns onto the private lane that spans over .50 mile through a lush forest, opening up to a pasture, two fields and the glorious waterfront directly ahead. The views from the home are nothing short of spectacular. Visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RollingViewFarmMD

EXCELLENT STAY

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful waterfront views surrounding the farm. Nice area for our small dogs to explore and not worry about traffic or other distractions. Large dock for fishing and crabbing and also additional boat house with dock provided for more fun!! Looking forward to spending next summer at Rolling View Farm!!

Great time as always

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time. This time was better than usual with upgrades to the property. Furniture much more comfortable and flat screens were great. If beds were a little better would take it over the top. Look forward to next trip.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We've been coming here for 31 years now and absolutely love it. Unlike everywhere else, this area and river hasn't been built up. Its still quiet and secluded, with very little traffic, both on the road and in the river. We love kayaking, biking, fishing, crabbing, and sitting on the porch watching the river. There really isn't another place like it.

Chesapeake retreat

  • 4 of 5

Rolling View is truly a retreat into the solitude of nature and the Chesapeake. Our stay with extended family brought water adventures, crabbing, group dinners in the wrap around porch, family volleyball tournaments, hammock time with books, game nights in the large living/dining room quarters, stellar sunsets and starlight nights on the dock. There was plenty of room for us and Tim was wonderfully accommodating. If you're looking for an old fashioned vacation on the bay this farm house is the place! Can't quite give it 5 stars as the house needs some work, but you can't beat the waterfront recreation possibilities. Thank you for sharing your home were taking away wonderful memories!

Owner's Response: We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed your stay at Rolling View Farm (RVF). The waterfront activities create the opportunity for a once in a lifetime vacation. Indoors, we recently added two zone HVAC, all new Windows throughout the home, satellite TV with three flat screens and satellite wifi. The farmhouse is definitely dated but comfortable. We've priced the rental to reflect excellent value taking into consideration the rustic nature of the home. Comparable properties with newer homes are renting for 3-4 times the price to stay at RVF. We hope you'll join us again for your next vacation.

Total Relaxation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our 2 small dogs had a blast! We were in Cambridge looking for our retirement home. The property is totally private with a beautiful view right on the water. If you're looking for fancy....this is not it. It is a manly hunting property but it's outfitted with everything you could need and it's huge! The wrap around screened porch is wonderful in the evenings. We caught fish most every night and slept in every morning because of the quietness. If simple, spacious and serene is what you want this is the place!!! We'd stay again for sure. Town is a short drive away with 2 larger grocery stores. Plenty of waterside places for good food.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your comments, Diane. You described Rolling View Farm to a tee. We definitely aren't the Four Seasons, but rather a private getaway in a waterfront farm setting. We welcome you back to Rolling View Farm at your pleasure.
