Wake up and open the Juliet balcony to breathe in the fresh salt air! Have your morning coffee with or without your family on one of the many decks over looking the water :). Or you could just sit on the dock watch the swans, ducks, fish, baby lobsters and geese too swim by (They love bread and popcorn). Maybe you will decide to sit in front of the 55' Ultra 4K TV or put on the house wide Sonos while cooking up a nice breakfast. There are water views in every angle so your mind will be blown the entire time you walk through the house. You could stay at home and use the small beach in your backyard or drive 5 minutes to the closest beach! Or maybe you can fish off the dock (Stripers are plentiful), cook your catch on the BBQ, swim, play some corn hole or sit and relax looking at your unobstructed views. Then you can take a nice warm outdoor shower while optionally viewing the views (depends on how daring you are). Make use of the kayaks and Canoe by going up and down Green Pond. You could certainly go out to the ocean, but you may 'need a bigger boat' :).
The other nice feature of the house is that the bottom level is a one bedroom apartment with its own kitchen and full bathroom. Of course, with gorgeous views as well that walk out to a sandy 'beach' in the back of the house. The upstairs level boasts a new kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a Vitamix and fancy coffee maker), a gorgeous dining room (could be out of a magazine from Beach Cottages) and large living room area with a big TV. There is one bedroom one this floor and one full bathroom. The second level has two large bedrooms. It will be hard to pick one because the views are stunning from each one. One has a gorgeous Juliet Balcony and the other has HUGE windows. I don't even know which one I would choose. The third level (really 4th) has a loft area with a daybed. It is actually a nice size area that is used as an office/extra bedroom.
The house is fully air conditioned with new efficient central heating and cooling. I don't know if this will matter to you, but you will have a touch-less flush toilet, yeah, I know, pretty cool right? :) Trust me, there was no expense spared here.
The list does not end because the street is a dead end. There are only about 6 houses past our house so you can pretty much stand on the street and very, very few cars go by. It is very quiet. What is amazing is that although it is quiet you can walk to a Dunkin Donuts in about 7 minutes or drive there in 2. There are some great restaurants within 5-7 minutes of the house, a grocery store and spa at the beginning of the street, fitness center close by and you always have downtown Falmouth within a 10-15 minute drive (depending on if you take the scenic route by the waters edge).
PS - Feel free to charge your car at the house. Our house is EV friendly. You can charge a Tesla, Leaf, etc. with our NEMA 14-50 outlet.
I could go on and on, but really this is an amazing property. I own another property on a lake in Falmouth that is currently on VRBO. I will add the link in here if you are interested.
Our slogan is that we rent Homes not Houses. You will feel at home here and I have no doubt you will fall in love with this home.
You really do have it all here. Unobstructed saltwater views, boat access to the ocean, private dock, private launch ramp, newly renovated, dead end street, 'beach' in your backyard, ample parking, great eating nearby, 7 minutes to the closest beach, I could go on and on.
My family stayed here for a week, and we had a perfect time. As noted in the description, and in other reviews, the house is well-outfitted with technology and appliances. We especially loved the Sonos system; every morning, I listened to music of my choice while showering. Speaking of showering...the outdoor shower is also a wonderful setup. It's nice being able to take a private shower but also feel the sun and fresh air. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a huge daily breakfast and a clambake. From the outside, the house appears to be deceptively small; once you're in, it's open, accommodating, and a perfect size! It's well maintained and clean, and it's obvious that the owners are good people who love their home and take good care of their guests. Stephanie always responded to texts and emails very promptly before and on the first day of our stay, so I felt well taken care of. Since everything went well, I didn't have to reach out to her afterward.
The town of Falmouth is also a perfect small town atmosphere, with friendly people and a great town center with lots of good restaurants and shops. The Vineyard ferry is close by, as are supermarkets and fish markets.
My only complaint is that I didn't catch a fish off the dock in the backyard : ( . Well...that was probably my fault!
Thank you Stephanie and all for opening up your home to my family!
Best wishes from New Jersey,
Jason and family
This house was an amazing find. It combines the functionality and utility of a well-thought out home with the comfort and views of a top-flight B&B. A fun nautical aesthetic fills the house and puts you in the perfect mood to enjoy your Cape vacation. You can throw open the doors to let fresh air circulate, or use the high-powered climate-control to keep you cool on the hottest days. Many interesting amenities come with the rental, including some bikes, some canoes and even a little Zodiac watercraft! We brought 6 adults and 4 kids to stay, and had a blast for our week. We had easy access to Falmouth, of course, but were only a half hour away from Woods Hole and Hyannis. The owners could not have been more accommodating - they even tracked down a lost craft kit and mailed it to us! Our only concern was the dazzling view - at times it was so dazzling it was hard to find a place for the little ones to nap! Our only recommendation would be to add some shades to the dining area/basement. The bottom floor can get warm, as the owners mention, when you run the washer/dryer.
My family and I just recently returned from East Falmouth and I wanted to write this review because we were so very pleased with the house and surrounding property. We thought that its proximity to everything was awesome. Beaches were in 10-15 minute drive. Martha Vineyard ferry was very close. There was also some grocery stores and ice cream shops and Dunkin Donuts in Walking Distance. The thing that I am most impressed with is that the house were fully stocked with all of the necessary items and we didn't need to bring anything but beach towels. The kayaks, canoe and bikes were a real treat. The house was clean and quite beautiful. The morning view was awesome. The welcome packet was informational and extremely helpful Every recommendation in the packet was spot on. We so enjoyed our time in Falmouth and recommend this property and give it 5 stars.
A beautiful place to come "home" to. The house is well appointed with everything you need. The many large windows in the back share such beautiful views. It tends to be very warm in the afternoon when the bright sun shines in, even with the air conditioning. Wishing there were shades to be pulled for that reason only.
We had 8 adults and two babies toddling around and the openness of the main floor was perfect. The quiet street was perfect and close to Falmouth and Hyannis.
It was great to have the use of the kayaks and canoe.
Enjoy, it's lovely.
This was the first time I have rented a home for a vacation and I must say this was the home to rent! The description regarding the location, layout and amenities was spot on! The home itself was more than I expected!
The "welcome" packet was so appreciated! We referred to it when we had questions on how to use any of the features this home offered or when we were looking for a good place to eat.
The home was clean and orderly when we arrived and so nicely decorated, we felt like we were home!
The kitchen was well stocked with all usable appliances, and plenty of pans, dishes, silverware and glasses to accommodate all of us (8 adults-2 children).
The game cupboard was well stocked for both adults and children.
While the home was what I consider high-tech, it didn't take too long to figure out how to use it.
The view of the pond both morning and night was spectacular and something that my entire family enjoyed daily!
The outdoor deck, fire pit, clamboil setup, dock and shower were all a bonus.
The propane tanks were full and ready to use!
Fishing from the dock, kayaking, or canoeing were easily accessible with the owner providing 3 kayaks, a canoe, a dingy and life jackets there and ready to use. A jaunt on the pond became a daily event during our stay!
The bedrooms were a good size, although I'm not sure why the upstairs bedroom has a cut out to the living room below.
The downstairs basement bedroom could use a sturdier mattress that would support adult bodies.
Other than that, this home offered plenty of bedrooms for our family.
We enjoyed this "home away from home" so much that we are definitely planning next year's vacation.
I would absolutely recommend this home to my family and friends!
Thank you Stephanie and Jason! We had a great time!
My family had an excellent time at this house. It has lovely views of nature and plenty of space for a large group. The multiple bedrooms and baths made it so easy to vacation here. We made use of the bikes, boats and the dock for fishing. This place has everything you will need, it's fully stocked with two kitchen areas and a great deck for grilling. We took a day for Martha's Vineyard and had a great time there too! Thank you for creating such a lovely home to share in Cape Cod!
Spa at the end of the street. Dunkin Donuts at the end of the street (4 minutes by foot). Convenience and grocery story (5 minute walk).
