Overview

About the property

Experience all that Sandestin and the Emerald Coast have to offer on your vacation to this casual, comfortable townhome located in the exclusive gated community of Beachwalk Villas. Nestled on a peaceful cul de sac of Horseshoe Lake, this family-friendly home invites you to start your day watching wildlife as you have your morning coffee on the patio, play a round of golf while the kids swim in the nearby community pool, then fish for bream and bass right out your back door as you view the fabulous sunset.

The downstairs living area of this two-story villa provides a welcoming place for your family and friends to gather or dine. The bright, cheerful family room, extending out onto the patio through glass doors, brings the lush landscape inside. The open floor plan ensures that the cooks in the fully equipped kitchen never miss out on anything! Also downstairs is a master bedroom featuring a king size bed with connecting bath and a private patio.

A second master bedroom upstairs also boasts a king size bed, along with its own private bath. More sleeping space is available in a loft bedroom that holds two twin beds, with two more twin beds in the bonus room. This surplus sleeping space makes the home well-suited for a large family or a group of friends.

The spacious lawns of the resort provide lots of room for the kids to romp and play. For a more leisurely pastime take a quiet stroll or bike ride to explore all that the resort has to offer. In addition to swimming, fishing, and golf are restaurants, a spa, and complimentary movies.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, try other activities in this vacation wonderland:

Shop in the boutiques of The Market at Sandestin, just minutes away, or visit the large designer outlet center, just up the road;

Feast on local seafood;

Cool off in a water park, or try your hand at kayaking, parasailing, or snorkeling;

Spend an afternoon in the delightful Village of Baytowne, then remain there for lively nightlife;

Or, best of all, walk barefoot through the white sugar sand beaches of Florida’s fabled Emerald Coast, within walking distance of your Beachwalk townhome.

About David Bridgforth

A visit to the Gulf Coast has long been an annual tradition for our family. Living in the dryland hills of North Mississippi, we head for the Gulf at vacation time. When the children were young, we traveled south when school was out – usually during summer, or perhaps to enjoy the mild weather of fall or spring break. As they grew up, the cool winter months beckoned us for a grown-up getaway. Now the tradition has come full circle, as our children take their own children back to the Coast.

Over the years we have stayed in several different kinds of lodgings on our Florida trips. Our townhome in the picturesque community of Beachwalk Villas combines the best of what we’ve always loved about the Coast. The wide variety of activities makes the area endlessly adaptable. From toddlers to teens, from young parents to us old folks, every age discovers experiences that are enticing and exciting for them. None are ever bored, unless, of course, they want to be, unless they want– at least for a little while – for the pace of life to slow down in this quiet, peaceful refuge.

Our Mississippi home is filled with photographs recalling cherished memories of our times together at the beach. We are happy to share our coastal home with you as you create your own memories. May they be as rewarding and meaningful as ours.

Why David Bridgforth chose Destin Area

The location offers all we want for everyone in the family. I enjoy an early morning beach stroll, while others play rounds of golf on one of the challenging courses. Kids of all ages love swimming in the pool and the Gulf, digging in the sand, or visiting the nearby activity and game centers.

What makes this townhome unique

For guests the townhouse provides bicycles for both adults and children, along with chairs and an umbrella for the beach. For outside activities fishing gear and water toys are included. Want to chill inside? There are lots of good books and jigsaw puzzles for all ages.

Great Place for a family!

  • 5 of 5

There was plenty of room for our family! We had two couples and 3 children. Bedrooms are big and spacious. Great little nook upstairs for children to stay. They loved it! The area is nice and we really enjoyed the walking paths. Pool is so close and convenient. Property is clean, quiet and safe. We would come back again in a heartbeat!

Quick get away

  • 3 of 5

It was a nice stay. A little too crowded since it was a Hilton property. We walked down the beach quite a way to be more secluded. Beautiful. Thanks for letting us stay. Nice place.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments Barb. I understand your thoughts about the crowds. Sandestin is indeed a very popular resort and is busy for good reasons.

This property was amazing! Pictures don't do it justice. Peaceful and serene.

  • 4 of 5

The property was immaculate. All needs were provided. There is entertainment steps away in Any direction. Shopping mall to the right, pool to the left, beach up the street, Pond with grill in the back. There was even a notebook full of suggestions of places to eat and things to do. The bikes available were top notch. Never a dull moment. We need more time here next time. Thank you David, for a personable experience. You were a pleasure to do business with. We felt very appreciated.

comfortable 2+ bed in a good location close to beach and amenities. Super attentive owner

  • 4 of 5

Have stayed in Sandestin many times so am familiar with different areas of the resort. The location of this unit is great with easy walking access to the beach via the bridge over the pond. The pool is a few steps away but not noisy. Pond is out the back giving peaceful sitting area and views.

The owner was excellent to deal with when a couple of minor issues arose (fire alarm battery and door lock battery) with immediate service calls and no hassle.

The unit was fully stocked with utensils, dishes etc. and the bikes and beach/pool items that were made available was an added bonus. The unit was very comfortable, everything worked, and it was clean and tidy when we arrived (and left!). The two bedrooms are large. The loft area is probably more suitable for children than adults, but worked fine for our daughter and grand-daughter.

A very relaxed family retreat for the month.
