This particular listing is for our LAZY BEAR SUITE, however, we offer 3 new, totally private, Alaskan themed suites.

These suites can easily sleep from 4 to 14.

Lazy Bear and Salmon Run are adjoining suites and can easily accommodate larger groups. All the suites have a rustic elegance decor with All the Comforts of Home. We have panoramic views of Pioneer Peak, the Chugach mountain range, and the Knik Glacier. Surrounded by woods, there are trails galore to take a leisure stroll and a peaceful meadow to enjoy. We are minutes away from 5 lakes, all stocked with fish. So grab your fishing poles and enjoy the day! Whether a small gathering, or a family reunion, come make our home the start of your Alaskan adventure.

Check in was exactly as stated in the instructions. Every room was neat and very clean. The bear decor was very fitting and cute. The kitchen had sufficient pots, plates, utensils, etc. that we needed to cook our meals. The king bed was comfortable. The location has quick highway access. Cozy and Clean Lazy Bear Cabin

Very comfortable for 2 people. Sleeps 4, but 2 would be in living room area on sofa sleeper. Location is great being close to Palmer & Wasilla, and is very quiet with beautiful Mountain views. The owners have the unit very well equipped with everything you may need. The decor was done very nicely & we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to spend a week in Alaska. Visiting family and it was so nice to come back to a relaxing quiet and clean apartment. Everything we could think of was there for our convenience. Johnnie and Donna came from the deep South, so southern hospitality is a part of who they are. Like other young couples, they came to Alaska seeking an adventure, reared their family, and now enjoy their grandchildren.

Johnnie has worked in the Information Technology department of the local electric cooperative for over 36 years. Donna worked as an Administrative Director of the local community senior center, managed an adult day care program for the frail and elderly in a home-based business for 15 years, and recently retired.

Now they are ready for their next adventure, sharing their home and hosting families so others can enjoy their own Alaskan adventure.

Why they chose this property

Palmer is a small community town, populated by colonists in the 1930s, with a lot of history that is still remembered and celebrated with Colony Day events in June and December. Combine the small community atmosphere with the breathtaking beauty of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley surrounded by mountains; add the long days of summer that produce the most extraordinary flowers and vegetables highly admired at the Alaska State Fair in late August; and top it off with all the fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, snow machining, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing in your front and back yard. We have been blessed to have found our small piece of the Last Frontier.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location! Moose Comfortable Vacation Rentals is located on over 3 acres of Alaska wilderness, surrounded by spectacular panoramic views of the Chugach Mountain Range, Pioneer Peak, and the Knik Glacier. Canoe Lake (stocked with fish) is within walking distance and just a bit further is the Kepler-Bradley Lake State Recreation Reserve that includes miles of well-maintained and marked wilderness trails that weave among 13 lakes with stunning mountain views along the way. We border the Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge which is rich with wildlife, moose, wolf, beaver, etc., salmon streams, nesting eagles along with other birds of prey, water fowl and migratory birds.

Yet, just a few miles away you will find great restaurants, fun shopping, emergency clinics, and a hospital. And the city of Anchorage, with all of its attractions, is only 35 miles away.
