Villa Mahon truly has it all for a perfect holiday...

The Villa is situated in a charming Dalmatian village of Sitno Gornje away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. Mountain biking, hiking and running trails are right at your fingertips. Should you decide to enjoy the local cuisine and wines or simply read a book by the pool, you are at the perfect location.

At your disposal you will find 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large (50m2) outdoor heated swimming pool, a large pool side terrace, immaculate grounds and unforgettable mountain views including many romantic sunsets.

On the ground floor there is a large kitchen and a formal dining area including a wood stove. There is also a large bedroom with a king size bed and an on-suite bathroom, another small bathroom and a laundry / fitness area.

Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms the third bathroom and a living room. One of the rooms has a single bed and a single and a half, the second bedroom has a set of bunk-beds a fold-out sofa bed and it features a small balcony overlooking the poool area with spectacular mountain views. The main master bedroom with a balcony has a king size bed featuring a large balcony with 180 degree views of Split and Kastela Bay.

There are two lovely local restaurants within walking distance which offer high quality traditional food, while there is also a small grocery store nearby.

On the mountain called Mosor above the village there are numerous mountain trails for all levels of fitness where you can walk up to the local mountain lodge or you can even try out the free climbing trails with a local guided tour.

Our local vegetable garden is at your disposal which will depending on time of the year provide you with tomatoes, strawberries, spring onions and capsicums all free of charge off course.

There is a large private parking area in front of the house which can accommodate up to 6 cars if required.

Bliss on a mountain top!

This villa is a slice of heaven, I haven’t felt so relaxed in a long time. The view is amazing, you can sit under the walnut tree whilst looking at the mountains and the sea, listening to cicadas and gentle church bells. Jaksa the owner was very helpful and recommended lots of places for us. Husband loved running through the trails nearby and even the teenagers enjoyed themselves! 5***** 👌

The house is beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean with comfortable bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. It has a lovely pool and outdoor area with a fantastic view over to the bay between Split and Trogir. We had a wonderful holiday and want to thank Ana and Jaksa for their great hospitality! --- Sehr schönes, geschmackvolles und äußerst gepflegtes Haus mit allem erdenklichen Komfort sowie gut ausgestatteter Küche. Die Ausstattung entspricht in vollem Umfang der Beschreibung im Internet. Toller Außenbereich mit großem Pool und Terrasse. Sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht zwischen Split und Trogir. Ruhig gelegen. Sehr netter Kontakt mit den Vermietern. Vielen Dank!

Fabulous villa with an amazing infinity pool

This is a fantastic property with the nicest and most helpful landlord we have ever come across. We visited the villa for a week at the end of June and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property presents itself very well and everything is of highest standard. The heated infinity pool was simply wonderful with mountain views to die for. Highly recommended!! Why they chose this property

We are natives of Split and we first started coming to the village of Sitno Gornje when my late Grandfather purchased a piece of land up here for us, his grand sons and grand daughters back in 1979. We have since then lived up here, then moved and lived in New Zealand for 18 years and then came back here where we have been living now since 2010. We live and breathe this place and Split and will be more than happy to proudly showcase the region to you.

What makes this property unique

The property truly offers the best of many worlds with regards to its geographic location. You will find yourselves sleeping at an altitude of 550 m above sea level with crisp slightly cooler mountain air while on the other hand you are 15 minutes away from one of the most beautiful coasts in the world. Within a radius of 15 km you will find perfect conditions for exploring the coast and its beautiful crystal clear waters, whitewater rafting down river Cetina, mountain climbing, mountain biking including some of the best local restaurants with traditional local food like the famous Dalmatian Smoked Ham (Prsut), the best goat, sheep and cow cheese and the famous lamb on spit, wine tours and the list goes on...
