NUESTRA HERMOSA CASA CON BALCON DE COCINA CON VISTAS A SWANAGE BAY / PURBECK HILLS

A solo 5 a 10 minutos a pie de la playa galardonada con bandera azul de Swanage, el muelle victoriano y el ferrocarril a vapor, galerías de arte, restaurantes, bares y pubs, vamos a dejar nuestra querida casa durante las vacaciones de verano.

Cinco minutos a pie desde la puerta de entrada lo llevarán a la Reserva Natural Townsend y al Parque Nacional Durlston, reconocido como un área de excepcional belleza natural, que conduce a los acantilados de la costa jurásica, el castillo de Durlston y el faro.

Tenemos 3 habitaciones, 2 habitaciones dobles luminosas (una con fabulosas vistas de Swanage Bay y Purbeck Hills), ambas con tocadores y la tercera más pequeña con literas de tamaño completo con vista a Swanage Bay y Purbeck Hills. Hay una gran cocina abierta / comedor / sala familiar con puertas dobles que conducen al balcón y otras vistas de Swanage Bay y Purbeck Hills. Escaleras que conducen a la zona de estar cubierta y barbacoa.
Acogedor salón para adultos para relajarse, cuando los más pequeños están durmiendo, con TV de 50 pulgadas y zona de comedor para adultos. En la gran cocina abierta / sala familiar hay un gran televisor de pantalla plana de 50 pulgadas, cocina de gran alcance y 5 fuegos y lavadora. Baño completo con azulejos con ducha de hidromasaje sobre bañera, lavabo e inodoro. WC separado y lavabo arriba. Ropa de cama y toallas (para uso exclusivo en los locales).

Estacionamiento fuera de la carretera, puerta lateral que conduce a un área cubierta segura para bicicletas / kayak / canoa / vela / equipo de senderismo, etc.

Una ubicación realmente fabulosamente conveniente a solo 10 minutos a pie de todas las atracciones y comodidades que nuestra impresionante ciudad costera tiene para ofrecer, mientras está lejos del bullicio de la ciudad.

Se encuentran disponibles varios viajes en barco a la isla Brownsea, Poole, alrededor de la costa local I. e Old Harry Rocks, viajes de pesca, pesca de caballa local y más salidas al mar, etc. Diversas escuelas de buceo en el muelle.
Extremadamente bueno (según nos dicen) y el pintoresco Purbeck Golf Club que está abierto al público, hay otros clubes de golf en el área que también están abiertos al público. Para los golfistas menos experimentados, hay golf loco para los niños en el centro de la ciudad.

El área es extremadamente popular entre los ciclistas de montaña, hay una muy buena tienda de bicicletas literalmente a la vuelta de la esquina, él está muy involucrado en todos los eventos locales de bicicletas, búscalo, Charlie the Bikemonger. También alquila bicicletas y tiene un equipo de taller para arreglar todos los niveles de bicicleta.

Tienda local de conveniencia a solo 2 minutos por la carretera abierta temprano hasta tarde 7 días a la semana.

¡Ubicación! Estamos en el medio de la costa jurásica de Purbeck, un área catalogada de belleza excepcional natural. Todo a la vuelta de la esquina desde la Reserva Natural de Townsend (5 minutos cuesta arriba) hasta Durlston Head, donde se encuentra el magnífico faro, luego puedes tomar el camino costero hasta Dancing Ledge y seguir a Worth Matravers, donde encontrarás la famosa Plaza y la Brújula pub, este es un pub tradicional verdaderamente virgen con vista al mar, es muy rústico con una escotilla para servir, barriles de cerveza detrás de la escotilla, un amplio menú de sidra, empanadas en un plato de papel solo comida disponible. No hay máquinas de frutas, mesa de billar, televisores, cajas de discos, ¡y solo efectivo! También tiene un museo de fósiles.

Otro lugar encantador para visitar es el Scott Arms en Kingston con sus impresionantes vistas al jardín sobre el castillo de Corfe, tienen una buena reputación gastronómica y a menudo tienen un bar de comida Jerk Shack en el exterior.

Por supuesto, está el castillo de Corfe, puedes tomar el tren de vapor Swanage hasta este.
Cerca de allí también hay Durdle Door y Lulworth Cove para visitar.

Si gira a la izquierda desde el faro hacia el Castillo de Durlston, lo llevará de regreso a Swanage a través de The Downs.

Si viaja más lejos hacia Sandbanks a través de Studland, hay kilómetros de tranquilas playas vírgenes de National Trust.
También puede viajar a Sandbanks, Poole y Bournmouth a través del Chain Ferry (solo en efectivo).
Un lugar absolutamente fabuloso para comer o tomar una copa de vino es el Shell Bay Restaurant and Bar, al lado del ferry, que ofrece vistas increíbles (ver foto).

Nuestra casa tiene excelentes vistas de la bahía y de las colinas de Purbeck y está a una corta distancia a pie de Swanage, no necesariamente tendrá que tomar el automóvil.

Nuestra casa está justo al lado de High St, por lo que no recibe los ruidos nocturnos de las personas que se dirigen a su casa.

Dos minutos más adelante se encuentra nuestro maravilloso pub local (The Black Swan) que sirve deliciosa comida (aunque es mejor reservar ya que están muy ocupados). También se encuentra un muy buen restaurante chino para llevar a la vuelta de la esquina.

Por supuesto, hay una selección de tiendas de pescado y papas fritas.

También hay una hermosa iglesia de piedra antigua y un estanque Mill justo bajando la colina.

Tenga en cuenta que si hay algún accidente, hay un hospital rural literalmente a la vuelta de la esquina, pero no es un hospital de 24 horas / fuera de horario.
Tenemos nuestro propio "anexo privado" que usamos aquí y allá, pero esto no invade la privacidad de nuestros huéspedes de ninguna manera. Tenemos nuestro propio acceso, etc. más dormitorio / cocina / baño / sala de estar / balcón.

The house was wonderful - clean, spacious and well equipped. All as described. The location is great too - a short walk downhill into town and there is a local Spar just around the corner.Parking is a real bonus. Homely and spacious

Short walk to beach ( up hill on the way back ), shops , restaurants and local walks. Very spacious property, comfortable beds, good shower and well equipped kitchen. Lovely views , great location to explore local area. You can leave the car and walk local. Swanage is a super seaside town which has kept plenty of charm.

Fantastic property - perfect location

This beautiful house is perfectly located only 5 minutes walk away from the lovely centre of Swanage, a short walk from two great pubs (Black Swan, Globe Inn) and from the main access roads. The house has everything you would ever need and Dave and Fran were so kind to us on our arrival - they will ensure you have a perfect holiday here. I could not recommend this place highly enough.

Family holiday

David and Francis were great hosts they sent us links that we could see what was going on in the surrounding areas. We were very lucky that the weather was brilliant i think we had a drop of rain on one day. The house was a good size and gave us plenty of options so we could just sit and chill. We highly recommend this let and we would consider staying here in the future.

Excellent location and property

We had a lovely week staying in this property. The location is excellent! Walking distance to the beach and town of Swanage and lots of other great beaches and attractions only a short drive away. The property itself was ideal for us and our 3 children. The sea view from the balcony at breakfast was a bonus as was the under cover sofas and fairy lights outside. The owners were very welcoming and they left lots of little extra’s you wouldn’t normally expect from a holiday home like laundry and wash up stuff, toilet rolls etc and a welcome basket! Thank you we have a lovley week away!

Amazing property

The house was fabulous. Has everything a family could possibly need. Situated in the pretty old part of Swanage. Had lots of amenities near by, beach, shops, train station, restuarants and pubs. All within walking distance. Its up a steep hill if walking but parking for 2 cars was no problem. Some of the furniture in the garden was missing but not sure if this was due to owners being called away unexpectedly. I would definately recommend this property. The best holiday home we have stayed in.

A really lovely stay. The views are magnificent and indoors there are plenty of areas to sit and relax in. A terraced garden also with multiple choices of seating areas .. there is a bench table in the garden, we had breakfast on the patio table on the balcony and also my daughter and I had an evening wine on the high stools & table looking over the sea and Ballard down. A short walk to the town & not too much uphill on the way back. Would recommend.

Lovely homely cosy house with great views in fab location

We had a great time staying in this wonderful house in Swanage, and it got better as the week went on. We found it to be clean, cosy, well equipped and comfortable. There are great views to the coast and over the town, and the kids loved exploring the garden and observing the fish. The kitchen diner is bright modern and spacious, with access to a balcony and steps down to the garden. The living room is lovely and cosy, as are the bedrooms. We even got to meet the owners who were very warm, welcoming and hospitable. We all had a great time, especially the kids. Thanks very much for having us, hope to stay again one day

Swanage week

A well equipped property with plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. Ideal location for the town, beach and amenities of Swanage. The one drawback is the parking issue with that particular area of Swanage. We had 2 vehicles, one of which we were able to park on the drive of the property. Our other car had to be parked about 400m away out of sight from the property. All available on the road parking was occupied all week. Apart from that issue, though, we had a wonderful time in Swanage

Fantastic Property for Swanage, Studland and surrounding areasland

Francess and Dave are great hosts. They showed us round the property when we arrived and there was a very generous gift basket. As explained in the listing, this is their house (they stay in the annex, but happened to be away for the whole time we were there - apart from greeting us). The massive benefit of this is the property has real soul and is not just a magnolia-walled, Ikea-filled money maker for someone. We loved the creative use of old champagne corks! The house is immaculately maintained, and very well equipped - we took advantage of Sky Q and Netflix more than the balcony and garden as the weather was changeable while we were visiting, to say the least! It was a fantastic place for our three adults and two young kids (5 and 7). A great base for exploring Swanage - 10 minutes walk to the sea front. We also went to Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay, Studland, Brownsea Island, Putlake Adventure Park and made use of the Bay View swimming pool which was 4 mins drive. We strongly recommend the Pier Cafe, Clavells for a treat (in Kimmeridge) and Castaways for a family meal.

Easy access to Swanage

Plenty of living space and a nice outdoor area, WC upstairs was small, this is a typical experience with the older homes in Swanage so not a negative reflection in any way. The decked balcony was a highlight with views over Swanage bay. A short walk from Swanage center and beach. Just outside the center so getting out of Swanage for other attractions was easy. The detailed guide is provided by the hosts. An issue with damage was highlighted after exit, but all were resolved with pleasant and friendly interactions. Location-wise for our needs, this property was bang on. Parking does look like it would be an issue with the two cars we had, however, this was not the case with on-street and off-street options within a short walk.

We cannot recommend this property highly enough! It was exactly as advertised, spotlessly clean and the most well-equipped place we've ever stayed in. Prior to arrival the communication was excellent and included lots of information about where to visit. Fantastic location only 5 mins walk into town with amazing views from the back garden and master bedroom. Can't wait to return!

We loved our stay at this fantastic property. "Bay View" is in a superb location in Swanage-within walking distance to the centre of town, all shops and local amenities, as well as the beach and nearly cliff walks . The house was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). It was big enough for everyone to have their own space but the kitchen area was a super family space which we used the most- especially with easy access to the garden, decking balcony and the beautiful view of Swanage Bay which the house benefits from. The lobby area was a great space for storing walking boots and sandy footwear and bags after a long day out. The master bedroom holds a wonderful view to wake up to each morning. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Frances and David were fantastic hosts. From the beginning of the booking process right through to the end of our stay, they were excellent communicators and made every effort to get to know us as a family without ever being intrusive at all. The welcome basket which was personalised was a lovely touch as we walked through the door and it was very much appreciated by us all as France and David ensured there was something for everyone in the basket-thank you! We were blessed with great weather for the duration of our stay so were able to make the most of staying in Swanage by visiting a variety of costal, countryside and cities from Bournemouth through to Weymouth. The local chain ferry was great for nipping across Poole Harbour to Sandbanks, Bournemouth and Poole. We loved our trip to Chesil Beach and all the usual stops along this stretch of the Jurassic Coast. We enjoyed fossil hunting in Kimmeridge Bay and the nearby Natural Trust beaches of Knoll and Shell were lovely to visit in the evening for a cool walk along the shore. Swanage itself offers a variety of local shops, restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed regular trips for a nightcap in the local pub, The Black Swan, which was located only around the corner from the house. All in all "Bay View" had everything we could have wished for in a family holiday property. It was home away from home with an excellent location and superb hosts. We all would highly recommend it for a lovely, relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of England.

Bay View, Swanage

A very comfortable and spacious home with lovely views. It is located in a quiet road but is only a very short walk into the town centre. Lots to do in Swanage and the surrounding area with some lovely beaches and coastal walks. Frances and David were the most amazing hosts - they went out of there way to find out about us and sent us local information and also provided a lovely welcome basket. We would love to go again!

Lovely home in great location

We had a lovely stay in Bay View - perfectly located, just outside of town so near enough to walk everywhere but in a quieter area, with plenty of great coastal walks from the door and beautiful views of the sea. Sitting on the decking in the evening watching the sunset was magical. The house was also so well equipped - everything we needed and spotlessly clean. David and Frances were great hosts - loads of excellent recommendations for walks, pubs, restaurants and places to visit, really easy communication and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. We would highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great stay, just what we all needed.

A lovely, homely house, spacious and very comfortable. Very well equipped. Lovely views.

We had a lovely holiday in a lovely home. It's very comfortable and very well equipped. Good views. Lovely garden. The house is decorated and furnished beautifully and is in a nice spot. It's an easy 5 minute walk to town. We had such a nice time in a beautiful part of the country. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home. Thank you to the owners.

Convenient Swanage location

Walking distance to all the amenities of Swanage shops and beaches and with a nice view of the bay from the kitchen balcony, which is however only big enough for two people to sit on. The garden is spacious but lacks the lovely view. The kitchen is a great space with table, chairs and room to socialise and there are lots of good food shops in Swanage so we like to cook and spend time in the kitchen, however it is difficult to keep clean as there is no dishwasher and a lot of personal knick-knacks decorating it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because Purbeck is such a great holiday destination and we had lovely weather.

Lovely home in Swanage

Cracking house, perfect for a family holiday in Swanage. 5 Stars and Champagne all round!

The house is great, the communication with the owners was quick and friendly. The house is in a great location, a quick walk to the the beach front or centre of town. You can hear the steam trains and see the smoke from the house, which is ideal for a train loving 1 year old and his Grandad. There is a lovely sea view and great outdoor space. The double driveway is a real bonus in the area the house is. We would be very happy to stay here again. Thank you

This is our much loved home by the sea, which we purchased in 2010, after many months of searching. Not an easy task finding a home with a garden, off road parking and a garage, so close to the beach.
***We have our own self-contained Annex - which enables us to carry out general/garden maintenance and the occasional catch up with friends outside of the house (from time to time) but please be assured we will not encroach on your stay in any way, should we happen to use it, as we have our own entrance/exit.

Our home has great views over the bay and of the hills and is close walking distance to Swanage town centre and the beautiful sandy beach, you won't need to take the car.
It is also just off the High St so you don't get the late night noises of people 'strolling home'.
Local late opening shop is 2 mins. away, as is our local pub/restaurant 'The Black Swan' which serves very good food (although it is best to book as they are usually fully booked), also there is a very good Chinese take away just around the corner.
There is a wonderful stone church and Mill pond just down the hill.

Location! We are in the middle of Purbeck's Jurassic Coast, a listed area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. Everything on your doorstep from Townsend Nature Reserve (5 minutes up the hill) to Durleston Head where the magnificent lighthouse is situated, then you can either take the coastal path to Dancing Ledge and on to Worth Matravers where you will find the famous Square and Compass pub, this is a truly unspoiled traditional rustic pub overlooking the sea, it is very rustic with a serving hatch, barrels of beer behind hatch, a wide cider menu, pasties on a paper plate only food available. There are no fruit machines, pool table tv's juke boxes - and cash only!
Or you can turn right from the lighthouse towards Durlston Castle then back into town via The Downs.
Another stunning places to visit is the Scott Arms at Kingston with its stunning gardens overlooking Corfe Castle, they have a good food reputation and often have an outside Jerk Shack food bar.
