Better than it looks in listing

  • 5 of 5

Our party consisted of two dogs and their retired owners. The cabin seems a little larger than it appears in the photos. The water tasted fine, and hot water was plentiful and prompt. TV and internet were flawless (no DVD or DVR, but it's a cabin...). Kitchen was spotless, utilities worked fine, some condiments were available. Propane fireplace/stove worked very well, and in addition to basebord heaters was perfect. It was very chilly so we did not spend hours outdoors, but when we were we listened to the sound of the river nearby (not on property) and enjoyed the birds and the many flowers. Very good stay, very dog friendly (has a chain link kennel, not a fenced yard). Excellent little but comprehensive store in Graeagle and multiple restaurants within ten miles on good roads.

5/5.

Great little place to get away!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I brought our two small children up to the cabin for 5 days. The kids loved playing around the house in the open flat lot. The cabin is well maintained and has everything you need. The owners are really great people and super responsive if anything comes up. The cabin is tucked away off the road and a great place to hang. Highly recommended and a great price.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a real home away from home! We had a full family Christmas celebration and dinner at this space. It could not have been more comfortable. Everything is provided. The owners have really done their research on what people like when they stay somewhere, and they have spared no detail. It is hard to put my finger on my favorite part of this property because it was a 5 all the way around. But if I must pick a favorite part, it is the owners' pet friendly policy. There were even blankets, towels and bowls for four legged guests. In our family, our pets are family members, so this made a big difference to us. Also, the owners found items we had left behind and made arrangements to return them to us. And my deposit was refunded very promptly. All around, we were very satisfied. We had the most memorable holiday celebration we have had in years at this property, even though we were not at home. We felt like it.

This cabin was the perfect secluded get away.

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin get away. Even though half of our group backed out at the last minute it would have easily had enough room for all four of us and the two dogs.

The cabin is well equipped for pets and our Basset hound loved playing in the horse corral and walking around the trails in the gardens.

We are big BBQ ers so the grill got plenty of use and worked out great. I do wish I could have figured out how to turn on the spot light out side the back door, but everything worked out fine.

We look forward to booking our next trip.

Lovely and comfortable dog friendly cabin

  • 5 of 5

We recently had a great 5 night stay and were totally happy with everything. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well appointed. They've done nice things with the yard. The location is quiet and private. It was as advertised, though was actually a bit larger than we anticipated. Having the washer and dryer was a bonus. And the outdoor propane BBQ was a real plus. We did not plan to cook a lot on this trip, but found the kitchen had everything we needed. If we were doing more cooking on this trip (we are big cooks), we would have liked to have better knives (just something we are picky about) but the knives were certainly adequate. We didn't use the wi-fi or TV, but always nice to have those options. The reading lights in the living room could be brighter, but they were adequate and the ones in the bedroom were great.

We have frequently used VRBO, and this was another good experience. We often travel with our dog, and this cabin felt particularly pet welcoming. Reba was very happy. : ) We didn't have any difficulties during our stay, but felt certain that Jim and Jodie would be responsive if we needed anything. And as it turned out, I lost an earring while there and we also left our tablecloth behind. Jodie found the earring (!!) and shipped it back to us along with the table cloth. She was so nice about doing this.

This is a great location with so many choices of things to do close by. We certainly hope to return as there are many places to explore - we would definitely stay at this cabin again. We also appreciated take out food nearby. The BBQ place is just minutes away. We also loved Cuccia's (I think I have that right), only about 10 minutes away. Looked like a great menu, but we just wanted take-out pizza. REALLY good pizza, even though we picked it up 2 hours before we were going to eat and re-heated it in a hot oven.

We were sorry not to see recycling options. We asked around town and learned that the recycling transfer station (easy to find) is only open on weekends. That didn't work for us, so we carried the bulk of our recycling home. Not a big deal, and better than it going to the landfill.

This is a great place!
