About the property

Lakefront with boats, by gas station, Subway, grocery store, etc.

Come and enjoy your very own lakefront paradise in Talkeetna! Situated on 15 acres, you will feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere as you gaze out at the calm lake, yet just down the street you will find everything you need to stock your kitchen from a full line grocery store.

The house consists of a large deck overlooking Little Montana Lake, a private green lawn, a paddle boat, rowboat and a canoe with enough life jackets for 6 adults (boating experience needed for the canoe), fishing poles, bicycles with access to paved trails that take you to shops and restaurants downtown, and beautiful walking trails along the lake right next door at the local high school.

The house has 3 bedrooms- one king bedroom upstairs, one queen bedroom upstairs, and one queen bedroom downstairs. A trundle bed is set up in the living room, which consists of 2 twin mattresses total, but can be converted to a king bed with a mattress topper. 8 are comfortably accommodated with this arrangement. 2 baths include a full tub/shower combo downstairs and a spacious double sink vanity with walk in shower upstairs. The house is also equipped with WiFi, a land line telephone for local phone calls, and a 65” flat screen TV with a selection of DVDs to choose from, or rent a new release at the grocery store across the way.

Owners Derek and Jessica are ready to assist in making your stay a wonderful one, as they reside in a smaller house on the property behind the main cabin.

The Talkeetna Lake House is the perfect place to vacation in Alaska, with nearby award winning restaurants, world class fishing, flights to Denali- the highest mountain peak in North America, marine tours along the Talkeetna river, local shops to browse through, beautiful trail systems-including a 14 mile paved path that you can connect to right from the house, and conveniently located on the way to Denali National Park ( 2 hours driving time into the park entrance), the opportunities to enjoy this area are too numerous to mention. Make sure to look up " The Talkeetna Lake House" on Facebook for more photos and information. About Jessica Pearson

Derek and Jessica Pearson were both born and raised in Alaska. They have been coming to Talkeetna together for over 10 years, and were lucky enough to move there in 2010. They have always loved summer and winter events in Talkeetna, to include camping, restaurants, festivals, fishing, snowmachining, skiing, sledding and softball. Now they get to enjoy all the same things and more, with their busy little boy and girl. They know you will find a few special things about Talkeetna as well!

Jessica Pearson purchased this house in 2012

Why Jessica Pearson chose Talkeetna

This property was special to Derek and Jessica because of its lakefront location first and foremost. Jessica knew that having a lakefront home would be something she could enjoy and share with her family as she did growing up in a lakefront home an hour south of this location. Derek also grew up in a private setting among open forests with abundant wildlife an hour south of the house, so he knew the private setting was something he would enjoy as well.

What makes this house unique

The best thing about this home is the feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere, yet at the end of the driveway are all of the modern conveniences needed to live comfortably....without all of the traffic!

AWESOME House and Location

  • 5 of 5

If you want the 3Gs - a great location, a great couple of owners, and a great house, then then is the place. We had a group of fishermen there for Silver Salmon in August and even though it rained pretty much the whole time, the house was comfortable. We didn't get to grill out on the grill and enjoy the firepit on the deck like we would have liked, but it was still an extremely enjoyable time. We even got to go out in the canoes and catch a few trout on the lake, in addition to having swans and loons swim around us while out there on the lake. I just don't think you will be disappointed.. .

Stunning views, pristine cabin, PERFECT service!

  • 5 of 5

We are aggressive hikers who really appreciate comfort and quiet when off the trail and this property really delivers. The cabin is in perfect condition with a large and functional kitchen, great space to relax and enjoy the view, and a spectacular back deck overlooking a lake so perfect it looks fake (right down to the two white swans always in view.)

We were concerned about the proximity to the road but really heard nothing while inside! (Yes, you will hear vehicles when you’re on the back deck). Also, though the Pearsons live on the property they must be pretty sneaky as we never heard or saw them except immediately upon our arrival.

I also just can’t say enough about the Pearsons! We got off the trail much later than anticipated and they were so gracious about our late arrival. Not to mention the immediate response to every email, text message, and phone call along with offers of help arranging some unexpected work issues that arose while we were away. Somehow we still felt like we were completely alone. The ideal combination!

You could not do better in the Talkeetna area!

Every detail was thought of

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed two nights at Talkeetna Lake House and it was fabulous! The house easily accommodated six adults and two children and is situated on a picturesque lake. The furnishings and decor are charming, with everything clean and new and well-maintained. What is particularly special about this home is the level of care that has gone into the design of the home and all the small details that made our stay so comfortable and personable. There was a hand-written welcome note with chocolates. The kitchen had everything you could need, including matching dish sets and glassware. There were bikes we could use as well as several boats with life vests, fishing rods and fishing tackle. There was plenty of seating on the deck that overlooked the lake but also down near the lakefront near a useable fire pit. The bedding was all top quality, with nice sheets and the softest blankets (which I am going to try to find online!). And when the littlest of our crew left a beloved stuffie, they mailed it back and included the cutest rainbow drawing and note. If you are looking for a beautiful home in the area that has everything you need, look no farther.

Great home and experience !

  • 5 of 5

Great home and property with a very serene lake looking at you from all corners of the house . We enjoyed the ducks swim in the lake at mid night 😄?.

Jessica and her family are extremely nice and accommodating and her offer of a bounce house for my 4 year old made her trip. Thanks so much for that and the early check in option. Great experience overall.

Wonderful house, scenery, and owners!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Talkeetna Lake House. Jessica welcomed us as soon as we got there. She is very nice. She even put out a bouncy house for my grandson to play on! The house had everything we needed. It’s very nice, comfortable and welcoming. The lake and boats were wonderful. The 7 of us (plus two kids) had a great time. Looking forward to a return visit in the winter time!

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect.....great location, clean, huge deck with grill, boats, lake....it’s got it all. My adult kids enjoyed canoeing at 11pm (daylight that time of day is hard to get used to). It’s close to Talkeetna and across the street from a grocery store. We couldn’t have been happier. Speedy return of deposit was very appreciated! Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
