Hi Ward: Thank you for your review for family Cabin #99! While we greatly appreciate the 4-star review, we feel it necessary to make a couple of corrections; first, the cabin is not equipped with a "furnace" (as your review states). The thermostat that you were referencing when you placed your call operates a small auxiliary wall heater that is located in the dining area of the cabin. The cabin also features independently controlled baseboard heaters in the lower bedroom, den, and bathroom areas, plus a good size wood stove in the living room area. The wood stove is the main heating source, and I can tell you from personal experience that it will heat-up to a point that it will run you right out of the cabin if you overload the box. When you called, it was at 9:00pm on a Sunday night during a holiday weekend. The cabin is located in a somewhat remote area, and the likelihood of being able to summon an electrician under those conditions is virtually nill. At the point when you called, you indicated that you had not attempted to build a fire in the wood stove, and I suggested that, (for practical purposes) under the prevailing circumstances, it would be beneficial to build a fire. I also indicated and that we would attempt to contact an electrician the following morning (also a holiday, mind you). I, in turn, received a snarky response, and was hung-up on. The following morning, the heater was checked, and found to be operating correctly. Good thing that we checked before summoning an electrician on a holiday Monday at a triple time charge! Likely, a cabin rental experience is not a good fit for you. Respectfully, Dan

A couple of corrections/interjections; (1) the community recreational amenities are not advertised, and are not available for Guest use at any time (HOA rules and regs), and (2) due to health departments regs, we are unable to provide any form of "food product consumables" including spices, condiments, and cooking oils. This rules has been in place for a number years, and is not just a temporary COVID rule. This info is provided to our Guests in advance of their stay, so that they can plan ahead accordingly.
