Waterfront beach house

Our family is not fond of crowded places and Dauphin Island in March provided the perfect getaway! Our three adult sons (and one girlfriend) thoroughly enjoyed this house. The views were spectacular - one beach visible from the front porch and the Gulf of Mexico beach out the back was closer than I realized from the photos! We traveled from Massachusetts and were not disappointed. We booked a fishing charter trip with FINATICS and caught more fish than we could eat and saw a sea turtle and dolphins. It was a week our family will never forget - just what I was hoping for!

Owners were very nice and responded very quickly. The house was clean, bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Views from the front and back are beautiful, which is great because a cold front came through with freezing temperatures and 25 mph winds for our last two days so it was nice to sit inside and still look at the water. We had a wonderful, relaxing few days and would definitely recommend this house.

Went to the Island for a fishing rodeo. House had water access we could pull the boat up. House was clean and AC was cold.

We loved the property on Dauphin Island! Everything is as described on Homeaway and the owners were very helpful.

With three bedrooms and two full baths, there was more than enough space for our family of four. The house has a wrap-around porch that extends around 3/4s of the house with lots of chairs, a hammock, and gorgeous views of both the Mississippi Sound and the Gulf of Mexico.

If you rent this property, do take advantage of the Crab Pots (traps). My daughter and I baited the traps with raw chicken, and over our five days at the property, we caught nearly 20 blue crabs. We boiled some of them up as well. It was fun to hoist the traps up and see what had wandered in.

Hope to get back there as soon as possible.

We had a blast celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary with our children. Great place - all the essentials + some extras. The views are incredible and nearly every window has a beach view. Great little neighborhood feeling ... everyone was very pleasant. This place accomidated our family of 5 with plenty of room. Beaches are very close and accessible for small children. Our kids are 3, 4, and 5 years old and loved the gulf for the waves and the sound for a more calm playtime. Just an overall great place to stay! We will definitely be back!
