Thank you for coming to our little piece of paradise Joni. I appreciate your suggestions on a few things we can add to make our guests stay even better.

This is not a normal happening in our beautiful place. Unfortunately it is the end of a very hot and humid summer which brings cockroach season in every house. The property has been professionally fumigated and is cleared of bugs. We are very diligent in this matter throughout the year for the safety and comfort of our guests.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience. My yard person said the beach is very messy because of the big rains now washing debris down. We do try to keep up with our area. The stove is a commercial grade appliance that works very well unless the kitchen fan is on full speed, which can cause the pilot lights to go out. I was unaware the bathroom was leaking and it is something we will see to. The water in the town is very bad which causes the stains in the bathrooms, which is why we provide drinking water. I agree umbrellas near the pool would be a nice addition we will look into adding. Thank you for the suggestion and pointing out things we need to look into caring for . We want our our guests to be able to relax and be comfortable.

A fiber optics cable has now been run to Cuastecomte, so we anticipate much better internet service in the future.

I am sorry Villa Alegre did not meet your expectations this year, and I'm certainly sorry your husband was bitten by an ant and that your group experienced evening noise. I was there all of December, just 10 days before your group, another family was there immediately before your group and another after, and no one else has complained of an ant infestation or noise. As far as the ants, it is always important to keep food cleaned up and put away. When I talk to people about Cuastecomate, I laughingly say they almost literally roll up the sidewalks at 7pm and that has been my experience there. We did not experience any evening noise during the extended time we were there, even though it encompassed the Christmas holidays. There also was a daily police presence, so I don't fully understand the changes you experienced. I agree Villa is needing some minor updating, which is partly why we can no longer rent at the discounted rates we have been offering. If you check our calendar, you will find that your dates are not rented "out from under you" and are currently still available. I did contact you by the email address you used on VRBO and offer it to you first as a courtesy, however, I did not receive a response. In view of the fact that I was just there ahead of you and so were others and we were all very happy, I feel your review is a bit harsh.
