"A Room With a View" of the Sea of Cortez

Bedrooms Studio
Space 500 sq. ft.
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Beach front condo, second floor, centrally located, with an exquisite view of the Sea of Cortez in La Jolla, San Jose, a secure resort with privately owned condos. This condo just underwent a complete renovation during the summer of 2017. All new appliances, tile, paint, refinished cabinetry, two burner electric stove cook top, new furniture. Waiting for photos to update VRBO. The condo is approximately 500 sq. ft. with a queen size bed that faces the terrace so you wake up with an ocean view. Standard studio size tile bathroom with shower. A wrap around couch in the sunken living area can sleep two but does not pull out. You will spend most of your time enjoying the ocean view on the terrace in the mornings and in the evenings. The condo is fully furnished with flat screen t.v., kitchenette, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, blender, hot plate, cooler, blow dryer, linens, beach towels, beach chairs, and a safe. Maid service will do laundry by request for $7/load. 24 hour security. Walking distance from restaurants, convenience stores, shopping. Two landscaped and well maintained pools, one heated, one salt water. Access to ocean and lounge chairs. The pool that the condo overlooks does not belong to La Jolla, but the adjacent hotel the Krystal Grand will let you buy an all inclusive day pass if you inquire at the concierge. Daily bus service in front of La Jolla to Cabo and San Jose, every 10 min. 20 minutes from the airport and a five minute taxi ride to downtown San Jose with shopping, quaint bars and restaurants. San Jose is a quieter, quainter, and more serene town than Cabo. Great escape for romance, fishing, or contemplation. San Jose is becoming the go to place for art galleries, european style cafes, eclectic restaurants, and wine tasting.

Just Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The Room with a View was just perfect for us. The size of the La Jolla complex makes you feel connected your surroundings vs. a sterile mega resort. Loved just sitting on the balcony drinking coffee and watching the crashing waves. The grounds are impeccably kept. The pool closest to the unit was very peaceful and relaxing with few people using it. The gardeners would cut bright yellow hibiscus flowers for the resident iguanas to devour each day. The place feels safe and secure. If you need a break from the tranquil beauty of the La Jolla pools, the Krystal Grand resort next door offers discounted day passes for La Jolla guests for ~$65 USD to use their facilities for the day (9-6PM) which includes unlimited food and drink, infinity pools, pool bar, etc. Krystal Grand WiFi signal was strong and reliable in the room. We saw Mobula rays jumping out of the water daily. Loved the beach at sunrise, fish tacos at Zippers, dinner and live music at Mama Mia's on the beach with arts and crafts for sale (Monday). Hangman was interesting, tasty and inexpensive. Flora Farms is far away, crowded, and $$, but a delicious and worthy experience. We walked to LaComer to stock up on groceries (buy the Finca coffee). Took the purple Ruta del Desierto bus out front for 38 pesos to Cabo, so easy! Walk through the mall to get to the marina and tons of bars and restaurants. Recommend Pez Gato sunset jazz catamaran cruise and day trip to Cabo Pulmo for unbelievable snorkeling with Cabo Outfitters. We took full advantage of the ocean breezes by sleeping with just the screen door and the two ceiling fans. The condo bed was very comfortable, the linens were super soft, the pillows could use some improvement, but there are extras to choose from. I turned the TV on once to find a channel with movies in English. There were plenty of beach and bath towels. The bathroom had good shower pressure. We used the faucet water to brush our teeth. We lacked nothing. Thanks to Lisa for answering e-mails quickly on the first day when we had a few questions. Weeks later, I am still thinking about the place, the sounds of the surf, and the aqua blue view. Would definitely return!

Hidden Gem !

  • 5 of 5

As a regular visitor to San Jose Del Cabo , this was our

first experience renting a privately owned Condo .

My wife Marsha, and I, were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem .

Not only does it have a million dollar view , right off the front deck , but

could not be more conveniently located to everything . As an avid fisherman

I had a 20 minute ride to the Marina , in Cabo San Lucas, and a 10 minute

ride to the San Jose Del Cabo Marina .We were able to rent a car at the airport (20 minutes away )

stopped at the Mega store. an stock up on water , and groceries , with literally a 2

minute drive to the condo . reserved parking, and a very short walk to the unit .

Everything you might need is right there , from beach chairs , to beach towels ,

new ample size refrigerator , bathroom/ large shower , and again that beautiful view from

the whole condo . The owners personally written tutorial of the unit / complex , and surrounding off the beaten path restaurants were spot on . We enjoyed a couple of places

that we never would have found without them . My wife, and I, had the pleasure of meeting

the owners private property manager Bea , she was just lovely , and anxious to make sure we had a wonderful stay . The property was gated, 24 hr private security , 2 great pools , and

miles of beautiful beach for walking .

We're looking forward to visiting again in the fall .

A special thanks to LM for making things just perfect .

Perfect for two for a 5 day stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We visited in March 2017, our first trip without our kids in 5 years. We scammed 5 days away and having visited the are before we knew what we were looking for. The condo itself is a lovely place to stay - ample size for a studio, lots of storage, amenities in the condo were great (kitchenette was nicely suited with everything we needed). Given our short trip we decided to eat out all but one night, so we did simple meals on the hot plate for breakfast and lunch when desired. The condo was truly great value. The cooler was invaluable as we took it every day to either the beach or the pool, and the low lying chairs were awesome at the beach. The condo building is quiet and family / adult oriented - there was NO partying whatsoever. The condo is directly next to the Bel Air - a hotel / all inclusive that overlooks their pool. They play music during the day however the pool was rarely busy and when we were in our condo the sliders were shut anyway because of the air conditioning. The music was lovely most of the time and shuts off in the evening - we were never bothered by it. The deck has a beautiful view of the ocean and is a lovely place to eat breakfast or share a glass of wine at the end of the day. The pools are a 1-2 minute walk from the room. La Jolla itself is in a great location - taxis sit out front the hotel next door and are always ready to take you into San Jose. We would book again in a heartbeat!

Very relaxing vacation accommodations

  • 5 of 5

All the previous reviews are spot on. Great place to relax for a week. The view off the balcony was incredible and the ocean waves would put you to sleep at night. Made breakfast and lunch after grocery shopping at the La Comer Mega Market about a mile down from the condo. Walked over and got a taxi back for 5 bucks. Gave our credit card to the Bel Air hotel next door so we could use the pool that was right outside our balcony. The drinks and food were not that expensive at the pool so it was worth it. Went to Las Guacamaya’s restaurant for dinner the stone bowl was excellent would highly recommend this for dinner at least twice during your stay. Hang Mans was also a good spot to eat. Lisa Marie sent all the information you need in a PDF file to help you get settled in and get you acquainted with the area. Beatrice was awesome as she did our laundry for $7 and returned it the next day. She went out of her way to get me medicine for my cold I got on the 5th day. All and all the room was clean and the location was just what we wanted. I would definitely go back again as it felt like I was there for two weeks.

Relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

Efficient spotless studio on beautiful quiet beach with stunning view. Spotted whales from the beach, & woke for many beautiful sunrises. Safe & wonderfully kept property close to everything - Mega, Walmart & quick supplies. Walked to Mama Mia's for Happy Hour & many dinners. Cantina Sardina has great Italian food, but cash only. Took yellow & purple bus to Mega, & then school bus (12 pesos) right into Main square San Jose del Cabo. Recommend Tequila garden restaurant, although pricey. Rode bus to Cabo San Lucas for several enjoyable days; huge lovely marina with dozens of bars & restaurants. Also took bus trip to Todo Santos where the Eagles wrote Hotel California. Will definitely return.

Black Diamond

Spectacular view of the ocean . Sunrise heaven!

  • 5 of 5

Lisa Marie was great in providing me with information and ideas prior to leaving. As we arrived on christmas eve day we walked to the mega store which has been renamed BTW, got our groceries and loads of water. Took a taxi back to the condo and proceeded to enjoy our stay.

The air-condition is wonderful for those really warm nights and we found that the deck mid day or out on the beach under the shade a great cool down. The pools are great and offer a night time or a day time dip. Really pleasant!

The apartment has everything we needed except wash clothes. Made do so no hardship and the mega store offered everything. Beatrice did our laundry and that was a treat -reasonably priced and 24hr service.

Arrainged a credit of 200.00 US at Bel Air next door for food and drink. Got a weekly password for thier wifi which was very convenient as the lajolla connection was stronger in the inner court area. It worked just fine and Lajolla speed seemed faster.

Ate at Cantina Sardinia and highly recommend captain John combo plate- we shared, plus appi. Make sure Christian serves you he is entertaining and a great server.

Went down to Zippers 3 times and the beer is cold and guacamole plentiful. Remember your on Mexican time and your on holiday. Hint: when you order your drink make sure your prepared to order food upon thier return. We did Zippers during thier slow time from 11.15 till noon and later afternoon. They are all so friendly and everyplace we went they really appreciated the repeat business and acknowledged you.

We scuba dived 6x and used Cabo Adventures. They gave a 3 for 2 deal and we took advantage. Dive master was great! Walked to the main office each day to check in. Got driven back to the condos by indicating we were to be dropped off at Bel Air.

Recommend booking transport to and from airport with Cabo Airport Shuttle. Cheaper 26.00 US one way for 2.

All in all a great time in Los Cabos...... we came to appreciate the saying "everyday is a good day in cabo".

Looking forward to our return.

Thanks Lisa Marie for your great customer service and making our stay that much more enjoyable.
