About Shane

I'm a busy dad with a beautiful wife and three amazing daughters, and an awesome boxer dog named Zeke. My favorite thing to do is travel...I try to pack the suitcase and ditch town whenever I can. I especially enjoy traveling with my wife and daughters join and we go explore new places and culture. I can hardly wait for the next family travel adventure!

Shane purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Shane chose Puget Sound North

We enjoy hosting friends and family for ski trips to Crystal Mountain in the Winter and hikes around Mount Rainier in the Summer. Our cabin is a dream-come-true getaway for long holiday weekends and outdoor adventures together as a family. When we can't use it, our loss is your gain - we like to share with guests from the wonderful VRBO community!

What makes this cabin unique

Crystal River Ranch is a wonderful community with lots of great amenities, wildlife and proximity to Crystal Mountain and Mount Rainier resorts (approx 10 miles drive). The "downtown" Greenwater area is quaint yet cool. I recommend hanging out at Naches Tavern bar and grill in the evening and Wapiti Woolies coffee and retail shop during the day. Also, there is a local ski and snowboard shop, little general store and a couple other small retail stores. Between the Ranch, Crystal and Rainier Mountains and Greenwater downtown, you can find yourself a sweet "get away from it all" vacation adventure.

Quiet place for Rainier Hiking

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this roomy cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great for hiking around Mt. Rainier's Sunrise area. The elk passing though regularly was a bonus.

Private, spacious mountain hideaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is impeccably maintained and was very welcoming upon arrival. The location is on the border between Mt. Baker/ Mt. Rainier- so many hikes to access locally. We arrived in the dark and it was easy to access. Any challenges we experienced were able to be resolved with quick, responsive communication from the owner. The wifi is intermittent and I would recommend printing/ downloading any information you might need in advance (local maps, etc). The cabin is idyllic with beautifully thought out space and amenities. Loved the modern appliances for enhancing our stay. It was the perfect getaway ftom the city. Don't miss going into Greenwater's Wapiti Woolies- local shop with great souvenirs and outdoor supplies.

Inviting, spacious, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Our family of children, parents and grandparents enjoyed a weekend in this lovely cabin with a spacious kitchen for in-house dining, huge windows to bring the outdoors in, a lovely deck for playing and lounging and comfy beds. This was the perfect spot for a weekend visit to Mt Rainier National Park.

Comfortable, relaxing and spacious.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time in this Greenwater chalet/cabin. The open great room and kitchen are great for entertaining and aprés ski. We loved the gas fireplace and big windows. Beds are super comfy - better than our beds at home. There's a roaming herd of elk in the neighborhood that really adds to the feel of being out of the city and up in the mountains. Super spacious master suite and a nice big loft make it a great place for families. Owners are great to work with. Five Stars.

Wonderful place to land!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful place for my family to land as we moved from out of state to this area. The owner was helpful and went out of his way to assist us. The home is beautiful with a wonderfully complete kitchen, laundry, and plenty of extra bedding. My family enjoyed biking to the picnic and playground areas, hiking to the river, and watching the elk in the yard.

In addition, the home is close to hiking/skiing/exploring the state and national parks.
