About this property

The Abode - A Guest House with Tropical Pool

This stunning Guest House is filled with lots of Caribbean Charm. Features a large chef's kitchen w/wrap around bar, 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, game room w/pool table and tropical pool oasis.
There are three other studios available to rent separately for extra guest. If you rent the Main House only you would be sharing the pool and courtyard with other guest renting studios. If you rent the Main House and all three studios you would have private access to the property.
This is a tranquil space, gatherings are not permitted.
Some holidays and local events require a 3 night minimum stay.
The pool heater has an additional charge per day to heat the pool. You have an option if you would like the heater on. Temperature cannot be guaranteed Nov thru April due to fluctuation of weather. Heater has to be turned on one day in advance so there is a charge for that day as well.
PLEASE NOTE....We are pet friendly and upon approval of a pet, there is a PET FEE accessed to the cost of your stay.
We are always just a phone call away and very often are nearby.
Bay St.Louis, MS. is a small golf cart friendly town with lots of southern charm. We have beautiful outdoor activities, a vibrant dining and night life scene and are still small town enough to be familiar.
This listing in for the Main House only. If you are interested in renting 1 of the 3 studios in addition to the main house message us and we can send the additional information to book the studios. If you rent just the main house in this listing the studios guest share the pool and courtyard with the main house.
The center courtyard is a tranquil space featuring a unique in-ground pool with lush landscaping and grill to relax and enjoy.
Golf Carts are helpful. We can assist in the rental of a golf cart.

Quick family/friends trip

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful! Hope to come back again. So happy we could bring our pup with us! The other studio guest was rude to our teens.

Love this place

We love this place, 1st time we stayed in the pool studio, then planned a family vaca to stay in the guest house. The vibe is great, the pool is the place we always wanna hang out at, such a cool pool, literally being shaded, it's so nice, and definitely helps you beat the heat. We're look forward to staying again in the future as often as possible.

Cool House!

What a fun house to stay in! The house is decorated with so many interesting finds, I loved just sitting and relaxing in each room. Location was perfect for us and the pool/courtyard were fantastic. We will be back!

Best VRBO in the Bay!!!

take a trip with a group of friends or family to this house. Its spread out so you not on top of each other but has lots of common areas. We rented the entire place, and I'm going to do it again soon! Vanessa was the best! Stop looking and book it.

Amazing Place

We loved our time at Adobe! Having the mother in law suite was awesome! Pool is magical and house has charm for days. We rented a golf cart and had the best time driving around Bay St Louis. It’s like a Hallmark town, cute artsy places and the friendliest people and great restaurants, can’t say enough, we looked at possibly buying a house down there it was so memorable! You’ll love everything about the house and town! A++++

Girls' Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the Abode! We traveled from Central Louisiana with our group of ladies who have been friends since elementary school. The house was lovely, like a comfortable museum. We laughed and visited by the beautiful oasis and pool. It was a short ride to the shops and restaurants in our golf cart. The property was clean and had everything that we needed. The host Vanessa was easily accessible and we talked several times.

Wonderful vacation

This Abode was such a gem to find. In the heat of the summer it was wonderful to just relax in the courtyard pool. It was very transporting with the open roof to see the sky, with it completely closed in for privacy. All the potted plants around the pool make one feel they are in a hidden tropical paradise. The thing I loved the most was the fact that all my kids from 15-21 never watched TV, even though there are TV’s in every room, they are not the focal point, so they just forgot about them, and swam and played many games of pool in the pool table room. Just lovely!!!

Enchanting and Historic Home

Our Easter weekend at the Abode was wonderful. We relaxed in the pool (perfect temp) with guests from one of the studios. Everyone and everything was perfect! The beds were very comfortable and linens soft and upscale. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

One of a Kind Property Near Beach

The Abode is such a unique property, it was perfect for our family and a few friends. The pool and courtyard are beautiful and spacious. House is well appointed and proximity to beach is ideal. Had a great stay, hope to visit again soon!

Very cool and unique house

There are many positives about this place, including the location, the AMAZING pool, the layout, the fact that you can bring dogs, the history of the building, and the pool table. Due to CV19, my family of 4 rented the whole place (main house + 3 studios out) so we had tons of room which was great. The check in process wasn't the smoothest I had experienced, and there weren't instructions for checkout. But given the positives, we would rent again.

Paradise!!!

This is our second trip back to this spectacular house and it wont be the last. It accommodated our entire family this year, including young children. All four bedrooms were full and yet, we still had so much room. The house is located in walking distance to the beach, the Fourth of July Crab Fest, and downtown. My mother doesn't get around to good, so thankfully we were able to rent a golf cart from the property manager by just making a call. The owner also has contact numbers listed, which worked out in our favor, we called and they responded!!! Very gracious staff, Tammy, Kevin, and Mr. Charlie. Thanks again for making our stay so pleasant, looking forward to next year.

Exceeded our expectations

This is a wonderful place to stay that makes you feel right at home. A relaxing getaway that our family truly needed. We could have stayed at the property without leaving and would have been completely satisfied. When we did venture out, Old Town was right there and had charmiing restaurants and retail shops to explore. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already discussing a late summer or early fall return. The management was very courteous and helpful.

Had everything we needed!

The home exceeded all our expectations. The open floor plan allowed our family with more than enough room to accommodate everyone comfortably. It was definitely an oasis setting with indoor/outdoor space and the pool was awesome. We were able to walk or ride the golf cart to everywhere we needed to go. The home was located at the end of the first block and had plenty of parking to accommodate all vehicles. The owner and mgmt company went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Very unprofessional group to deal with

I've rented from VRBO over 10 times, and this was by far my most frustrating experience. Communication with the management group was poor from the get go. We stayed for two nights and the group required a very expensive security deposit. They won't refund, or give you any details, on your deposit for 30 days after checkout. After 30 days the group stopped responding to my phone calls and never communicated again about the deposit. I ended up having to file a dispute with my credit card to get the deposit back.

A wonderful setting!

My family rented this home for a family reunion and loved it. The home is spacious, the pool is awesome and the kitchen is great. There was enough space for us all to be together and also have our privacy. The house was so well thought out and a great way to spend a long weekend. It is also very close to the beach!
