About Young-Bean Song
We live in Seattle, and have enjoyed our property in the South Sound since 2009. Kelly makes wonderful homemade raspberry jam from the fruit from the property every year, and we have plans to plant a vineyard in the near future. Young-Bean loves to chase fish with his fly rod and our two boys through the woods.
Young-Bean Song purchased this House in 2009
Why Young-Bean Song chose Mason County
The South Sound is a true gem. Like most, we first sought out the San Juans and Hood Canal. But after having two kids, we realized the waits times at the ferries were simply too costly and unpredictable. That's when we stumbled upon Case Inlet. Only an hour from Seattle, the pristine waters of the South Sound blew us away. 5+ acres is tough to find these days. So arriving at our Madrona lined beach without being sandwiched between other buildings was a dream come true.
What makes this House unique
Beautiful lawns and landscape with native plants and fruit orchards. Safe for kids, and wildlife sightings daily. The property faces SW, so the full sun and sunsets are tough to beat. We go there year round. The prior owners built a signature woodshed that's we keep stocked for the cozy stove in the great room. This may be sound odd to point out, but all the homes in area are on sewer (rather than septic which you fine in most rural areas and along the Hood Canal), so the waters are very clean. With over 5+ acres, the experience of having your own slice of Pacific NW paradise without feeling crowded is very unique. You'll be surrounded by landscaped gardens and grape vines, orchard trees, gnarled Madronas and majestic Douglas Firs. Watch the sunset fireside, when the sky turns bright pink and the herons are out for the evening bite.

You Won't Want to Leave
We can say “ditto” to all the positive reviews already written. This is a lovely location, with an open and inviting home, and wonderful owners/property managers. It is very clean, well maintained and quiet. Nine of us used every inch of the house for our weekend stay. Everyone from grandparents to grandchildren in our group all want to return soon! And, on our next visit, we will be sure to pack more sunscreen, swim suits, water shoes, etc since we all wanted to spend most of our time on the beach, in the water, or playing in Victor Creek. We stayed in and fixed all our meals in the very user-friendly, modern kitchen. Lots of dishes, glasses, etc. for our big group with a table and chairs for 10! The smallest grandchildren loved staying in the "Eagles Nest" which is the room over the garage. Can’t wait to return to this location. Not far from metro Seattle, but far enough away to feel like a getaway!
Peaceful getaway, convenient location!
Thank you so much for sharing your piece of waterfront with us. Our weekend here was full of beach walks, campfires, grilled dinners, lazy afternoons, cozy mornings by the wood burning stove, and conversations between friends with a heavenly backdrop.
Great place to celebrate with family
We wanted a close getaway to celebrate Thanksgiving with family, and we weren't disappointed. The house is well-appointed, and it's definitely set-up for many guests. We were a party of 7, and there were enough dishes, glasses, and silverware to avoid running the dishwasher constantly. We had also brought platters, serveware, baking sheets, etc. as we were doing the whole Thanksgiving spread, and it wasn't necessary. The kitchen was well-stocked. Comfortable so that everyone had their own space and enough seating so that we could all hang out together in the living room. I also brought a folding chair as I saw that the dining table only had 6 chairs, but there were extra dining and folding chairs in the garage. All of the bedrooms, especially, the loft, were comfortable. All bathrooms had more than enough towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Easy-peasy to access and leave the property. Wonderful view! A couple of things to note, the beach isn't accessible during high tide and the 4th bedroom is accessed from the garage. This was not a problem for our group as it was nice to have the private bathroom. We look forward to staying over the summer!
This was the perfect gathering place for our entire wedding party! Very large property, so much space for outdoor activities along with a big stretch of private beach and SPECTACULAR views! The master loft was beautiful and the other rooms provided plenty of space for our entire group. The Young's thought of everything when stocking the kitchen.
We will defintely be considering this place again especially during the beautiful PNW Summertime!
Close enough to be convenient; Far enough to unplug!
What a great spot! The open layout was great for communal time while bedrooms/nooks/great outdoor spaces allowed us to have some downtime too. The owners pulled all the stops for convenience and the grounds were perfect. There is something magical about having a fire looking at the stars and water. We'll be back!
I love Victor Creek!
This is second year we have taken up residence here. The setting is great and the facilities are perfect for our group of 4 gentlemen golfers. The owners are easy to work with and we believe the value for the price is a 10! I highly recommend this property except for the 3rd week in September when we will be there.
The property sits nestled in North Case Inlet with a fresh water creek that flows through the grounds. Only one hour from Seattle, half hour from Tacoma and Bremerton. Great launching point to explore the South Sound, Olympic Peninsula and Hood Canal.
