Great house with amazing pool!

Loved the three en-suites and perfect pool with all day sun/shade spots. Large kitchen with tons of supplies. Didn’t use the rooftop as much as we planned. The dipping pool wasn’t as clean as the backyard pool. Would return!

Great Place To Stay

We had a great time staying at Casa de Luna Loca. Alaine was great too work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The weather while we were there was a little cooler than usual so we only used the pool a couple of times but was very nice to have. House was very clean and well decorated and beds were comfortable. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the jacuzzi on the top balcony did not work. Which would have been perfect with the cooler weather. Other than that this place is great. 4.8 of 5.

A Slice of Paradise – Casa de la Luna Loca! Our stay at Casa de la Luna Loca was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a private island oasis. The home is beautifully designed—spacious, comfortable, and full of character—with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The rooftop views of the sunrise are breathtaking, and the pool area is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Isla Mujeres.But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible service and care we received from Alain. During a power outage that affected the entire island, he went above and beyond to check on us, making sure we had everything we needed and that we felt safe and comfortable. His kindness and attentiveness were so appreciated and really made us feel looked after in a way that’s rare to find.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the rooftop or enjoying a dip in the pool, Casa de la Luna Loca is the perfect blend of luxury, privacy, and island charm. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

Lovely

This house was great! Clean, good amenities, excellent pool area and a beautiful view of the sunrise from the rooftop. The property manager, Alain, was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our needs.

Unbelievable Stay

My husband, two teens and myself had an amazing time staying at Casa de la Luna Loca! The house was all we could have wished for and more. Communication with the property manager and the owner was prompt and they answered any questions we had. We will be back!

Perfect Little Getaway

Beautiful island and perfect location. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but walking distance to restaurants and beaches. The home was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to have pool cleaned prior to new guests arriving and add some mattress toppers to the beds. The beds are super hard.

Fantastic south end gem

Our first time to the island with our adult children and friends and it did not disappoint! Our stay at Casa de la Luna Loca was the perfect spot for the kind of vacation we were after, quiet but still enough to do, lots of room for everyone in the house, well stocked kitchen, great location for beaches, restaurants, fantastic art gallery next to a lovely restaurant Ulan. Everything was easy from Alain the manager checking us in and always avail to help us out. A couple of small issues with A/C, pool intake clogging, electrical fire in livingroom underneath sofa, rooftop pool (believe an old hot tub) not useable and rooftop needs some TLC. All in all this was a fantastic spot and if you are a larger group it accommodates everyone perfectly. Loved being at the south vs. north end and Alain the manager is extremely helpful and responsive. We gave it a four star just because of the couple of areas we thought could use some attention but highly recommend this gem of a spot.

Unique Property and Very Clean

Very spacious and sparkling clean! The kids loved the pool, the adults loved the rooftop space and we all enjoyed the large bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Don’t count on being able to use the washer/dryer.

Best time

The house is spectacular. It was exactly as described. The space was great for our family of 5. There’s so much space. We used the pool and the roof top dipping pool. Both were great. The view is to die for from the roof and there’s enough chairs and loungers for all. Great small spaces for reading and relaxing. The pool cleaners were there twice during our stay and the maids came and cleaned up mid week. Everything worked and it was safe, clean and just what we needed,

Great rental!

The home was very lovely and just as described. The only issue was with the water in the showers and the water pressure. The upstairs shower did not work at all. There were times that the downstairs shower had such a little pressure you could not take a shower.

Isla Vacation

The house was really nice and the pool area was perfect. We spent 99% of our time outside which was very private, and all the outdoor furniture is really comfortable. There were multiple concierges who were in contact with us via text msg every few day to make sure everything was going well and they wanted to know if we needed anything. All of them were fantastic! Nice kitchen with everything you may need when cooking. The housekeeper was great also. There is a restaurant right behind the house called El Borracho Burro Cantina (The drunken burro) which was great and the owners are really nice.

Beautiful Property and Location!

This property is Beautiful and Great location. It's walking distance to Garrafon Park and a block off main drag. The home is clean and well kept, and the communication and extras performed was above and beyond. I would Highly Recommend this property. Also, they referred "At Your Service" transportation, and again they were Top Notch and I would Highly Recommend. There were a couple things to be aware of when renting this property, minimal water pressure in shower, you are instructed not to flush toilet paper and beds are on the hard side (which may be a plus in your book). Nothing that was intolerable but should know going in, however, the price and the amenities offered (pool, 3rd story patio deck, on suite bathrooms, location, etc) far outweigh any shortcomings. Will definitely stay here again !!!!

Overall good

While the overall stay was enjoyable there were quite a few errors. Ceiling fans and over head lights did not work in the master bedroom. Shower in one of the upstairs bedrooms was not fully functional. We could not get the washing machine to work, and property manager did not know how to use it. Roof top was dirty. There was a broken bottle and cigarette butts. This was in addition to the rust from the unsafe railinga on the ground. House keeping was supposed to be every three days. We stayed seven and only had her come once. The binder on the counter stated bathroom trash would be removed daily, and that never happened. Lawn and pool cleaning did occur, but not on schedules days. For the positives, our groceries and welcome food were ready upon our arrival. The property manager was very attentive and responsive. Bedrooms were comfortable. Living area was welcoming. We loved sitting by the pool. We loved to quieter area on the island. We would come back with just a few tweaks to pur previous stay.

Very clean--wonderful views and pool

Casa de la Luna Loca was a wonderful place to stay. They went above and beyond, even decorating for Christmas. The property manager was just a text away and came a few times to help sort things out that weren't working. Nearly everything could be fixed (smart tv and one toilet not working properly, but he brought us an HDMI cable that was a quick fix). The rooftop views are amazing, however, I will say that the rooftop sink was not working, and several things needed to be maintained. I understand the climate wrecks havoc on wood there and yet almost everything is wood. We loved the pool in the backyard, but be warned, it is not heated. Not a huge issue and electricity is very expensive in the area, so makes sense why it's not. The beds were large and comfy, but a bit hard. Safes in every bedroom which was nice. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment. The house is on a dirt road, which I did not know beforehand. There are a few restaurants to walk to, and a few pizza places deliver there also. They have games and some puzzles stocked up. I like a clean house and they definitely delivered that. Overall, we would stay here again!

Worst Vacation Experience

Upon arriving, we found the front gate was unlocked so we slid it open, which was hard because the track and rollers are seized. The front door was also unlocked so we thought that the property manager must be around. Nope, he didn't show up for another 15 minutes. The inside of the house is ok but the outside is in rough shape in areas. We were told to not use the front gate to the driveway and to park the carts unsecured outside of the fence which was never communicated until arriving. The sliding gate and one of the front doors didn't lock at all, and while we were told someone was coming to fix it, no one ever did. When we wanted to go out, we had to put a block we made to secure the front door and then leave out of the basement door, which also has a questionable lock. This had us uneasy but we just hoped nothing would happen, but that wasn't the case. One of the couples left a day early, leaving one bedroom vacant. On the last morning of the trip, the other guests asked me who was in the empty room because they had heard noises coming from there. I went to investigate and sure enough, there was an unknown man and women laying naked in the vacant bedroom. I told them to leave and they said they had permission from the property manager. This was not true, we found out he was part of the cleaning company and knew how to get in. The owners promised to refund us and after the 1 month period where VRBO could no longer help, they ghosted us completely. Horrible experience.
