Sounds like Toucan Getaway checked all the boxes! Comfy beds for the grown-ups, a great pool for the kids, and the beach close by for everyone? That's a pretty great way to do Padre Island! Thanks for choosing Padre Escapes. We hope to have the whole crew back for more beach days and pool time soon!

Could not see the beach from our room. Did not find the pool, but the trip to the beach was a short drive. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and that the short drive to the beach made it easy to get out and enjoy the coast. While Marquesas is centrally located and close to so much, including the beach, it is not beachfront or have a beach view. The pool is tucked away in the middle of the complex. We are always here to help out with anything our guests need - like directions to the pool! We truly appreciate you staying with us and hope to welcome you back again in the future!

We (my sister and I) stayed in this unit to be close to my aging uncle, who lives in one of the units. We could walk just two units away, so the convenience was perfect.

We’re so glad the location worked out perfectly for you and your sister! Being just steps away from your uncle sounds like the ideal setup — convenient, easy, and stress-free. We’re thrilled it made your stay that much more enjoyable and hope to welcome you back anytime for another comfortable getaway!

Great getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the layout of the small home, our teenage daughter stayed on one side with her own bedroom and bathroom. I like the closed in patio area to store our beach gear. I wish there was a sidewalk outside to walk our dog but other than that we would stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked a last minute trip. We love these little cottages so much. The beds are super comfy and they have everything we need. We had an issue with the dryer, had to run it a couple of times to get everything completely dry. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying our weekend. We can’t wait till our next trip to the island. 😎

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Awesome little house. Perfect for our vacation. It had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have a BBQ grill outside, but that's okay. We made due without one. Also I heard our neighbors in 101 or 102 had a spa in their backyard. That would have been the icing on the cake. Maybe next time! Just let me know.

Great Company and Awesome place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was just as described and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. It was clean and everything functioned as it should. The night before our stay ended, we had to take our 12 y/o to the ER and didn't get back to the property until 4 am. I had left a message with management for a little extra time to check out and they responded early in the morning and told us to take our time with no rush and no charge for going past our 11 am time. They were very courteous and will be the only company I will stay with in the area! Thanks Padre Escapes.

I will Never do business with this company again

24hrs before leaving on our family vacation this company sends a text saying they are canceling our reservation for unforeseen circumstances. They were unable to get us another rental. We still ended up driving to Corpus Christi, drove by the location and “we see people walking out of the rental that we had reserved months in advanced” .NEVER AGAIN!!

Perfect little Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: These cottages are too cute. Perfect layout with the rooms on opposite sides. Plenty of living room/kitchen/dining room area. We even had a queen blow up and still had plenty of room. The outside area was the best. Water hose to rinse off all your stuff. We kept our fishing gear and ice chests in the back. Just enough privacy! The shared pool was fun. Family friendly and a nice break from the beach. We loved it so much we booked another stay next month. Padre Escapes has been our go to booking for the past 2 years. I will always use them. Very kind, easy to get a hold of (if needed) and always a super nice staff.

Never again!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at this location over the last 5 years and I have never had a problem like this before. I will not be staying at this location again. The weeds were overgrown, the pool key did not work, the wifi did not work, the master bathroom sink did not drain, and worst of all we fought off coachroaches from the moment we walked in to the minute we left. Totally disgusted with this rental!

Our mini weekend stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Condos are lined up so cute and colorful! The donut shop is right down the road. Our stay was a quite and short one. The condo was nice that it was separated in half with 2 full bathrooms on each side. The furniture is little the couch was small and the dining table was as well. Like a starter home for a couple. The pool is walking distance from the condo maybe about 6 condos down. There is a restroom to use and a outside rinse off station on the gated pool area. The only thing that was upsetting to me was there were roaches in the kitchen area. I pulled out to get a fork and there was a roach. Then few minutes later there was more roaches coming from underneath the bar top in kitchen. I did take pictures and I also used my reservation paper so the date was included. I also called and informed the office of the matter. There’s a AIRFRYER! Whooo hooo
Response from VrboOwner on Jul 12, 2023
Thank you for your review, Ruben! We are happy to report we have had this unit treated for roaches and have been successful with the treatment. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, even with this inconvenience. We look forward to having you again!
