Cabaña Vintage totalmente modernizada, gran playa, vistas al lago

La Pequeña Casa de Piedra, ubicada en la pequeña comunidad cerrada de Elks Point, fue construida en 1927 con granito de la excavación del cercano túnel Cave Rock. Aunque conserva todo el encanto de una cabaña de la década de 1920, este refugio de montaña fue completamente remodelado en 2008 con comodidades modernas y ganó el premio "Mejor preservación histórica" de la revista Mountain Home.

Invierno o verano, Little Stone House es cómoda y acogedora. La hermosa chimenea de piedra hace que la acogedora sala de estar sea tan relajante después de un día en las pistas. En los meses más cálidos, esta encantadora casa ofrece varios espacios al aire libre para disfrutar del hermoso paisaje. Arriba, hay dos dormitorios con baños en suite, uno con una gran ducha de mármol y el otro con la bañera original con patas que lo llevará de regreso a un momento más simple mientras se sumerge y mira por el tragaluz de arriba. El sofá cama en el desván es el lugar perfecto para que duerman los niños. Dos pequeñas terrazas fuera del dormitorio y el loft son lugares relajantes para tomar un café por la mañana. También hay un medio baño en la planta baja. La cocina bellamente remodelada y totalmente equipada cuenta con mostradores de mármol y un fregadero de cobre, y el comedor tiene capacidad para seis personas. La cubierta posterior, a la sombra de pinos altos, tiene una vista filtrada del lago, y la mesa de comedor al aire libre tiene capacidad para ocho.

La comunidad de Elk Point tiene una gran playa, a la que se puede llegar en automóvil o en una caminata de cinco minutos. La playa cuenta con una zona de baño con cuerdas con una plataforma anclada de natación y buceo, una cancha de voleibol de playa y un hoyo de herradura. Kayaks dobles e individuales, tabla de remo de pie, bicicletas, juguetes acuáticos, sombrillas y varios tamaños de chalecos salvavidas están disponibles para su uso.

A solo unos minutos se encuentran Heavenly Ski Resort (con esquí de clase mundial y una gran variedad de actividades de verano) y Edgewood Golf Course, sede del Celebrity Golf Classic. En las inmediaciones se puede acceder al mundialmente famoso Tahoe Rim Trail (senderismo y ciclismo) y Flume Trail (ciclismo). Very charming historic home renovated with all modern conveniences. Beautifulneighborhood and great location. Kayaks, bikes, beach chairs and toys included for use at the community's private beach. Lake Tahoe has so much to enjoy for both young and old. Great place for a vacation or weekend get away.

Absolutely magical stay here with my husband for my ten year anniversary. We brought our two toddlers and two friends of the family and had possibly the best vacation ever! The house was gorgeous and so special…I’ve stayed in Tahoe a million times and all the houses feel the same but this one is on another level. The private neighborhood is so good for peace and quiet, and the quick walk to the private beach cannot be beat (especially when little ones are involved). We grilled out back and ate meals outside most nights, and the rest of the time went to all the great spots close to the house. 20/10 I will be trying to stay here every time I come back now.

Communication with the property manager was excellent. She is super responsive even when she was traveling.The house could have used a little more house cleaning, there were cobwebs Everywhere. There were so many on the master bedroom fan we didn't even want to turn it on, on every light fixture. all over balcony furniture and decks/balaconies weren't clean.Also there is No A/C upstairs. I run hot so this was challenging.Definitely appreciated having a private beach, cars were lined up for miles trying to access the public beach. All of the amenities available- kayak, bikes and such were nice although are stay was short so we didn't get to use them.house was restored beautifully inside and out.

This house was everything!

We can not express enough how much we enjoyed the little stone house! This cabin is absolutely charming. The location is amazing, close to great shops and restaurants. Nancy is the best host ever- great communication and the cabin had everything we needed and so much more. Nancy is beyond generous with all the beach toys, wagon, chairs, towels- everything! Our boys loved riding their bikes through the beautiful neighborhood. We were there for July 4th and everything was perfect- amazing fireworks and having access to the private beach was so great as we had zero crowds to compete with.I really can’t express how much we adored the cabin- so much character and charm! Highly recommend-We have been to Tahoe 3 times now and the little stone house was by far our favorite! Thank you Nancy

We loved the Little Stone House!

The Little Stone house was the perfect weekend get away for our family and 3-year old niece. We really enjoyed the historic house with modern luxuries. It has a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook. We enjoyed the backyard too with a little view of the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood which feels private and safe. The only issue is the neighbors very clearly display “renters not welcome” signs in their windows which makes you feel a tiny bit unwelcome. But it’s easy to ignore and they keep themselves. It’s an awesome location with a short drive to the nearest Safeway and only 7 mins from heavenly village. The little stone house was very kid friendly with an area for kids to watch movies and play. Overall a very special place and we look forward to our next stay!

Great Charming Home

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the views were great! The loft has plenty of games for the family. Nancy was a delight to work with. We booked last minute and it was easy and the communication was great. We will definitely book this again!

Romantic Stone cottage get away

We loved staying in this stone house. It's in a quiet neighborhood with acesable walkign trails and access to the beach. The owner was super helpful and takes loving care of the home. We will come again for sure!

Relaxing Tahoe Getaway

Its hard to imagine a better Tahoe getaway. The Little Stone House has a cozy, Lodge feel. Very quiet! Beautiful tree-filtered views of the lake. Spotlessly clean, and well stocked for anything one might need to enjoy the outdoors or cook a delicious meal. We stayed there during a particularly warm spell, and the Little Stone House was pleasantly cool. Grateful for the garage, as this seemed to be (large) pinecone dropping season!

Super host, super property

The little stone house is the perfect place for a Tahoe vacation. It is ocated so close to many wo derful activities, with its own private beach, and has all the touches of home to make it perfect. But what really outs it over the top is super host Nancy - she is avaialable, helpful, and encouraging. What a wonderful experience. I can' wait to return!

A wonderful getaway!

All of the other reviews talk about how wonderful the home is, and they're right! We enjoyed the views from the loft, and left a few puzzles for the collection. I wanted to address the accessibility concerns from another review. Stairs are a problem for me, but I loved this home and figured we'd make it work somehow. Here's what worked for me - I used a cane on the stairs out front, because there's no railing. You could also go through the garage and use the railing onto the back porch. It was totally worth the extra challenge.

Excellent Getaway with Private Beach

The perfect spot to get away for a few days, or weeks, or months...! The Little Stone House was cozy, quaint and in a perfect, quiet little community. The private beach was the definite gem, as we had it all to ourselves almost every day we were there. Nancy was a very gracious host and was always quick to respond to any questions we may have had. We will be doing our best to visit again as soon as we can! There are not enough wonderful things to say about this house. A true gem!

Exceeded expectations!

A small part of me wants to tell everyone how you shouldn't come here... just so i can enjoy booking this amazing gem whenever I wanted. But alas, i will tell the truth: it was perfect! Convenient in location, quiet neighborhood, remodeled to perfection, decorated thoughtfully. The owner is quick and generous to respond, as needed. Charming place, to the utmost.

Best little secret in South Lake Tahoe

Worth Every Penny

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the summer. The house is beautiful and fully equipped with everything you need inside the house and for a trip to the private beach less than a 5 minutes away. Our host Nancy went out of her way to be accommodating and was quick to text back if I had any questions. She clearly takes pride in this property and it shows. She's thought of everything to make your stay comfortable as well as informed on anything you might want to do. The house is perfectly located away from the madness in town in a quiet neighborhood but is just a quick drive to get in the thick of everything. We made great memories in our short time there and would definitely return.

Perfect Stay for our Family

The Little Stone House was perfect for our family getaway celebrating our daughter's high school graduation. It had plenty of room for all four of us. The view from the back deck was a favorite for morning coffee and sunsets. The private beach was walkable and super convenient to drive and park when bringing more beach equipment. A wonderful trip!

My husband and I have lived in the area our entire lives. We are managing and maintaining this property ourselves in order to provide you a quality service. Nancy is an avid hiker and has hiked the Tahoe Rim Trail thirteen times as well as most other trails in the area and would love to help you with your hiking decisions.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Because we grew up in the area and we are not young, we remember Tahoe when it was quieter and slower. Entering the gates to Elk Point is like going back to our youth. The house was built in the 1920s with granite from the excavation of the original Cave Rock Tunnel. The previous owners went to great lengths to give you the old feel with all the modern conveniences. It won the Mountain Home Magazine's "Historic Preservation Award" in 2010. We have fallen in love with the house and the community.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Beach, hiking and biking trails without getting in a car. Beach restaurant and bar within walking distance. Full service grocery store less than a mile and you never have to get on the highway. Small quiet community. The beach is incredible and rarely crowded. There is a beach volleyball court, a horseshoe pit and kayaks at the beach. Edgewood Golf Course, Harvey's outdoor theater, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Tahoe Rim Trail, Flume Trail, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, MS Dixie, winter snowmobiling, sledding, ice skating the Stateline casinos are all very close. Great house, great beach and great location.
