Great spot to chill out or act as a home base for mountain activities. Private lake access is 2 blocks away with awesome beach and dock facilities. The house is 2nd floor above garage and super cute and clean. Has a nice deck area for wine and snacks while your dog hangs out in the yard. Carolyn is a great hostess and we will absolutely be going back

Great stay for ski weekend

Space was clean and heat worked well in the cabin. The place was easy to find and check in was perfect. We were not fully aware that the garage under the cabin would be in-use by the owners, but it was no problem at all. I would stay here again!

Tahoe getaway

My husband and I stayed at Buckhorn this past week and LOVED our time in this adorable cabin. It had everything we needed to cook our dinners and was a very short walk to the Sunnyside restaurants. We will definitely be back!

Comfortable lodging and walk to beach.

We enjoyed staying at Buckhorn. The apartment is above a garage, but very quiet and private. You can walk to restaurants, markets, coffee spots. You have access to a private beach that is beautiful and clean. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Great location and access to homeowner beach

My husband and I stayed for five nights over July 4th and really enjoyed our stay. The location of the cabin was great, and there is a comfy pull out bed (not shown) if you prefer separate beds. We had our dog who is a “leash” dog and be prepared, the neighborhood has quite a few off leash dogs. Everyone was very respectful of our dog on leash, however. The location to the private beach was awesome and we enjoyed the bike trail into town. Hope to stay at the cabin again!

Great Location!

We had a great time. The house is in nice area and we were just a short walk to store, cafes, sports equipment rental, and the lake! You also have access to private park with grills, picnic tables and beach area which is nice. Can launch SUP or kayaks right there. Comfortable place to stay. Really appreciate being able to bring our old, blind chihuahua since we can't board her. Thank you!!!

Cute cabin in nice location

The cabin looked like the ad but with quite a bit of snow. Perfect location for skiing at Palisades and Alpine. Kitchen was not as well equipped with limited supplies. We asked about grill and were told it was not available but then were invited to use the neighbors. Bed was extremely comfortable. We were very appreciative of the addition glasses left.

Restful cabin, small but cute.

Very clean and organized. We wish there were doors to the bathroom and bedroom. No AC, so sometimes it was stuffy. Wished there was a deck or outdoor space to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! Washer and dryer would be a plus, and the refrigerator was extremely loud when the compressor shut off! Very beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Great restaurants in walking distance!

Beautiful cabin, great location, pleasant host

You don’t need to drive at all if you’re not in the mood. We didn’t drive a car for the first two days. We just walked the four blocks to the private beach to hang out and do water sports, and also walked to the West Shores Bike Shop. The ride down to Sugar Pine State Park is 19 miles round trip and bike trail is pretty and safe. We hung out at Sugar Pine for the next two days for SUP and kayaking. The beach can’t be beat - great shade and location. So back to the cabin. It is set up perfectly for a couple. It a nice newer cabin- wood interior A frame, attractive and comfortable furniture, well-thought out. Not what I used to rent as a kid with friends 😎 The kitchen has all appliances needed, including a toaster oven (which we don’t even have at home). We cooked every meal here since we’re trying to protect ourselves from COVID-19... Carolyn is a gracious host, and we hope to come back soon.

Very cute cabin with lots of alpine cabin decor that helped immerse us in the Tahoe experience, including the skylights that let us view the forest around us. The nearby private beach club was beautiful, and the short stroll over to nearby Sunnyside and Shadyside restaurants was convenient when we wanted to eat out. The beautiful bike route was close by and we were able to ride to it directly from the cabin. Carolyn was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to coming back.

We moved to Tahoe City full time in June of 2013. The West Shore location is ideal! This North Tahoe community is comprised of warm, friendly people who enjoy and value an active and healthy life style.

Why they chose this property

Lake Tahoe is a spectacular destination for any time of the year. We are conveniently located near many restaurants, shops, ski resorts and more. This detached cabin provides a quiet and private retreat while still convenient to all the amenities Lake Tahoe has to offer.

What makes this property unique

This rental is near Homewood Resort, Alpine and world class Pacific Palisades ski resort. This location also includes access to the outstanding beach-front homeowners park. The private Lake Tahoe Park Homeowner Association includes over 800 feet of beach area on the beautiful west shore of Lake Tahoe. Two deep water piers offer a convenient loading area for boaters and a relaxing locale for sun bathers. More than three acres of land are beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained throughout the Summer. Relax in the shade on the expansive lawn area. The kids will love the volleyball court, horseshoe pits, basketball hoop and play area complete with swing sets. Set amongst the grounds are numerous lake front picnic tables and barbecues offering unparalleled views of the lake.
