Enjoy our cozy Farm House situated on what is considered one of the most beautiful landholdings in the area. The Tye River borders the front of our 10 acres with guest access to swimming, canoeing, tubing and kayaking. River is accessed by a path off our main entrance, lots of woods included in 10 acres, 1 acre of finished mowed area around house only, and rest of open areas mowed hay fields.
The farmhouse has creamy colonial colored walls with a bright colonial colors for each room; and Original Hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen with its views of the mountains is equipped with modern appliances. The master bedroom glass doors give an open-air feel with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Bring your smaller campers. $35 per night for each camper. VRBO does not give you a way to enter campers so you'll have to tell us and we will manually include in your quotation. We do not have any hookups or sewage and you'll have to bring an extension cord tor run from the house to your camper.

Wide open fields and lots of places to hike and investigate. We have private access to the beautiful Tye River. When the water is up a perfect place to kayak. Google Tye River Kayaking. A great place to tube float. Bring your own equipment, as we cannot provide for liability reasons.

We are dog friendly. No extra charge for dogs. We love dogs! Dogs love the wide-open areas with no busy roads nearby. Also, the river is a great place for your dogs to go swimming.
Home is on the Tye River with easy access via Route 665 off of Highway 29. Halfway between Charlottesville and Lynchburg.
Amherst County with city of Amherst and Sweet Briar College is just down the road. A nice place to visit with a couple of antique shops and nice restaurants: Vitos Pizza Bar and Grill, The Briar Patch, and Travelers Restaurant. Another nice rural town to visit is Lovingston, VA. The Lovingston Cafe is good place to have lunch or dinner.
We are close to Oak Ridge Estate for Lockn' Festival and other music concerts. Google Lockn' Festival or Infinity Downs Farm.
