The hotel room was clean and the location was outstanding with a short walk to a wonderful path along the ocean and about a mile from downtown Pacific Grove with a good choice of restaurants and shops. I can’t say enough good things about the Sunset Inn. It’s small, well kept, and cozy. With a jacuzzi tub and fireplace in some of the units, it’s absolutely perfect for couples looking for a get away. The staff are friendly and accommodating- 5 stars all around.

Weekend getaway

This was the 2nd year in a row that I stayed here. The front desk clerk was very respectful and accommodating. It was quiet and relaxing with a quick 5 min walk to the beach. The only downside is the renovation noise. While we were staying there for the reggae festival…it would have been nice to sleep in in the mornings without the sound of a leaf blower or some sort of hammering. All in all it was a pleasure staying here and will be back next year!

Sunset Inn is fantastic!! The host was friendly, knowledgeable and genuine. He made sure we knew exactly what was available during our 4 night stay, right down to sunset and sunrise times, which is important because you're only a 5 minute walk to the coastline. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the fireplace. The parking area looks small, but the spaces are generous enough we had no problem parking our full size truck. Housekeeping was friendly and attentive, as were the main staff (we had a light bulb go out and it was quickly replaced). We would definitely stay again!!!
