Beautiful well-appointed duplex with stone fireplace. Master suite offers a large jacuzzi tub and balcony. Enjoy a private deck with wooded setting; convenient location to both ski areas.



Canaan Valley, truly the mid-Atlantics playground, is nestled in the scenic Hills of West Virginia, and boasts world-class skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. With easy access to National Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuge, Wilderness areas, and two State Parks, explore the endless possibilities here. Your family will enjoy our quaint mountain towns and shop or browse in our many antique, gift and specialty shops or enjoy some fairs and festivals.



Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Spring brings some of the best hunting and fishing, and wildflowers. Escape the heat of summer where temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80s. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests.

We enjoyed our stay in spite of wind and cold.

We enjoyed our stay in spite of wind and cold. Very cold and windy temps meant that draftiness was very noticeable in the kitchen and entry door. Owners would save many $$$ on electric heat bill if they addressed this issue. Cold air blows in through the electric outlets, and every window.. Easy. Friendly.

We enjoyed the entire stay.

We enjoyed the entire stay. The location is convenient for reaching Dolly Sods and other attractions, the beds are comfortable and the fireplace was a great feature during the colder days. We also enjoyed the Jacuzzi, although the water got cold rather quickly. We had a great time, thanks! Did not really meet anyone but we were happy with all the instructions we received by email.

Property and the area of the property was awesome my family gave O'l dad two thumbs up on selecting the area and property including the places we visited on our trip our only regret was that we weren't able to do more. Communication through email only was a different way of doing things for me but the whole covid19 has created a whole new way of doing things that we all have to endure.

Overall the place was good, however the carpeted bathrooms that was cut out of the rental images was a surprise. There were also mouse traps in all the bathrooms and a bug or two found in the shower, so the cleanliness could have improved a bunch in those areas. Key pickup was easy, however it made me nervous that the key was left outside for anyone to pickup. Having a lockbox with a code given to each resident would be much more safe and functional. If someone else had stolen our key from the box and gone to the address, the office would be closed and we would have no where to stay.

Disappointing

Checked in to a disappointing property for sure. When first opening the door, we were hit with a strong smell of mustiness that did not diminish during our stay. We then found the condition of the outside chairs to be such that one would not sit in them and then found black mold growing in a lower kitchen cabinet. There was no firewood even though neighboring units were full. It was very apparent that the property manager had not taken the time to freshen up the place for our arrival . It is also apparent that this property has not been updated in years and years. Upon complaining to the property management, we were refunded the cleaning fee however it will take quite a bit of time and effort to make this place presentable for future rental.

I would like to see more specials, or frequent renters discount. We rented the same cabin (timberstone) several times this year and cedar place #1. When we were there in October, many of the rentals were empty the whole week, discounted rates or specials would bring in more business. Some money for each empty cabin is better than no money. The team worked very well with us, even stored a tupperware container that was forgotten on last visit a month ago.
