Newly Renovated Villa Minutes Walk to World Famous Dickenson Bay Beach

Our newly renovated secluded air-conditioned villa can be considered your 'home away from home' and is the ideal location for your exclusive Caribbean getaway. We have designed and decorated Sunset Villa to be comfortable and welcoming with all of the amenities of a hotel, without the hotel price! The large windows and two large balconies flood the villa with light and provide front row seating to the Caribbean's most incredible sunsets.

The bedrooms have been recently upgraded with high-end Queen-sized beds outfitted with luxurious memory foam mattresses. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with high-end Italian appliances and lots of counter space.

Sunset Villa is located near some of Antigua's best restaurants and entertainment. We are also a few minutes drive from Cedar Vally Golf Course, the largest and most popular golf course on the island.

At Sunset Villa, we pride ourselves on impeccable service, which includes:
Organization of rental cars at discounted rates and any other pre-planned requests, a knowledgeable, helpful guide to help you with any additional needs.
Unfortunately, we no longer offer transportation to and from the airport.

Lovely location
The view was wonderful and the living space was as nice. Updates appliances and the AC worked very well. The kitchen was stocked so we were able to save money cooking during our stay. The beaches are close by. We hit the beach the very first evening. Will stay again.

Week in Paradise #best view
Our Family of 5 had a relaxing stay in Antigua. The villa was well appointed with everything you need to enjoy your time on the Island. Trevor was very helpful and kind. He helped arrange a tour outing and suggested many wonderful restaurants and places for shopping. We enjoyed our kayaking tour through the mangroves with the Southern Coast Horizion Conservation group! We also spent many evenings enjoying the Views of Dickinson Bay and gorgeous Sunsets! Morning coffee and pastries from the local Bakery "Dawn to Dusk" on the outside covered porch was just what we needed to start our day! Thank you for helping us enjoy a relaxing and memorable trip!

Private view of the Caribbean
We stayed for one week and greatly enjoyed the porch and the rooftop deck views. We got some spectacular sunset photos. The villa is exactly as advertised. The third full bath with shower is a real bonus. We used the kitchen a lot too. FirstChoice grocery store is only a 5 minute easy drive so we went there multiple times. The walk to the beach was easy enough and took about 10 minutes. The beach was not busy during our stay. Our favorite restaurant was Bella Vita, just a minute walk across the road. Our only warning is to plan your driving routes. Google maps tried to route us onto nonexistent roads from the airport; we got lost and Trevor came to the rescue and we followed him back (what a great guy to do that!). It is actually an easy drive if you stick to the main roads. The driving in the region around the villa is easy but I would avoid driving in or near the town of St. John's unless you are super confident with local driving customs. We enjoyed our stay and the villa is a good choice for the independent traveler.

Spectacular view with short walk to the beach
Outstanding views of Dickenson Bay from patio and roof deck . The location is very good with beach only a short walk. Several restaurants are close by. We ate at Bella Vita's, Ana's; Bay House, and Putters. All were good and and reasonably priced. The unit was accurate as shown and described n the listing. It has all the basic amenities except for a dish washer. The place was comfortable. Wi-fi was good. TV / Cable had a wide selection of stations. The décor and furnishings would benefit from some updating. Bed in master was a little firm. Trevor was very friendly. He met us at the rental to show how everything worked. And again to take the the keys when we left. The transaction was seamless.

Wonderful stay on a wonderful island
This property offers amazing outdoor space, with an excellent view. Check-in and check-out were very smooth and Trevor went above and beyond to make sure we settled in well. This was a perfect location for our trip and we hope to be back!

The most relaxing and breathtaking view
Our stay at Carol’s property was one of the best experience. We enjoyed it very much. Great location and great view. The manager, Trevor is super helpful. One recommendation to the next comers, you must rent a car. The roads are not in great conditions, watch for the roads, narrow street and lots of pot holes. We would definitely rent this again if we ever go back

Great view
The view is wonderful from the porch. Kitchen is well appointed. The manager Trevor is a friendly, helpful man who responded to our needs very well. He met us at the airport and stayed with us until our car was delivered to the house many hours later. He took care of a plumbing issue immediately. The downside to the house is having to walk through the bedroom to get to the living room so if people are sleeping there, the LR is inaccessible.

Perfect for Independent Travelers
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. It is a great fit for independent visitors to Antigua who want to experience the beauty of the country and the friendliness of its people without being encapsulated in an all-inclusive resort. It is just a short walk down the hill to Dickenson Bay Beach and there are several very good restaurants nearby. The villa is clean, roomy, and has excellent outdoor space: a rooftop deck with outstanding views, perfect for enjoying morning coffee, and a patio off the kitchen that is shaded through morning. Carol, the owner, provides excellent communication, and her site manager, Trevor, is very helpful. Although a car isn't necessary for visiting Dickenson Bay Beach, we had one for visiting other parts of the island. and found it very useful. Perhaps the only tricky element of our stay was navigating the parking lot, which is shared with adjacent properties, although we always managed to land a spot We left Antigua with lots of happy memories -- many of which include our stay at the villa!

Paradise found
The location of the property is perfect for excellent views of Dickenson Bay sunsets and is also very close to the beach. There is adequate parking in the shared lot and the beaches are just a short walk or drive. We drove down and were able to find parking once you get used to the Antiguan way! The cottage has everything you will need for a stress-free stay. We used the convenient kitchen every day and found it to be well stocked. The bedrooms are nice and the beds comfy. Trevor, the owner's representative is very attentive and helpful and Carol, the owner, is also easy to get a hold of if necessary. Property is close to several bars and restaurants if you want to stay local. Pizza across the road is excellent.

Very great experience with this property! Smooth processes and very assistive in any queries we had. The villa is excellent for families, with lots of space for everyone. Food, beaches and also a grocery store are a few short minutes away. As an added perk the home offers a beautiful panoramic view of the hills and beaches.

Overall Great Experience
Will keep this short and simple - both Carol and Trevor were great to deal with - very responsive, accommodating, and helpful with anything our wedding guests needed during their stay. They even went out of their way to put together a welcome package of drinks and snacks for everyone upon arrival - something greatly appreciated. Outside of the wi-fi being a bit spotty at times, everyone was extremely happy with their accommodations (cleanliness, condition, proximity to the beach/Sandals, etc.) We appreciate everything and would definitely recommend for anyone staying at Dickenson Bay.

Overall, the location, space and view was everything I wanted - even the distance to the beach, with the exception of the walk back up the hill. Trevor was very accommodating throughout our stay. The one thing that was a bit inconvenient was walking through the second bedroom to get to the living room. Fortunately, we were a family, so it was ok. I felt very comfortable there and would return.

My trip to Sunset Villas was my 50th bday gift, and let me say it did not disappoint! Our trip started with our arrival at the airport where we were met by the property manager Trevor. Trevor is a humble, kind good hearted man that takes pride in his country as well as the property he manages. Anything we asked for Trevor got for us or knew someone that could get it. Trevor made our trip so enjoyable because we knew we had someone we could depend on. Upon arrival at the villa Trevor gave us a proper tour and showed us all the essentials. The villa is located on a hill in the Dickenson Bay Area. There are many favorable amenities about the home, but the true selling point for us was the view. I have been to many islands and have stayed in many homes, but in all my 50 years I have NEVER seen a more breathtaking view than this one. Words and pictures can’t even begin to describe the view. You get to see the whole island surrounded by the ocean and mountains. The view is so romantic and serene. The villa has a rooftop with chairs, where you can go and sunbathe or just sit and watch the most incredible sunset views imaginable! The villa is surrounded by many popular eateries and local bars/hangout. We rented a car to explore the island, but keep in mind Antiguans steering wheel is on the right and they drive on the left. The driving experience can be tricky if you’re a timid driver. The island is small so having a car helps you see most of the island in a short period. If you decide to rent a car Trevor has a connect with one of the local car rental guys, Ian! They brought the car to us and picked it up, we didn’t have to move from the villa. They treated us so good. My only disappointment was that we went during lobster mating season, so I couldn’t get a lobster anywhere on the island. We made up for the lack of lobster with our fish intake. We had a killer red snapper at a fusion restaurant TouLouLou’s. The food was so fresh and amazing full of flavor. Our second favorite spot was Oj’s. located on the other side of the island. You will definitely need a car to visit. But the food was amazing only topped by the views. Third but not least for amazing food is Papa Zouks! Food and drinks were only superseded by the owner coming to greet each patron! I miss Antigua already, but I take solace in the fact that I will be back and I know I’ll feel at home in paradise!

Beautiful Villa, great location!
Even though our stay was shortened due to Delta flight issues, the villa was fantastic! We are definitely going to stay there again. Carol was fantastic and communicated with us through out the time. Trevor met us at the airport, took us to the villa, made sure everything was in working order, and even helped us find where my brother and his family were staying by taking us there! This place is a gem and everything mentioned in the reviews were true! Thank you Carol and Trevor for a wonderful experience!

Dissappointment
Trevor was great the entire week as well as Ian our cab driver. Trevor will line up any trips or needs as well as take you to the grocery store for the initial trip. He was always available if we had questions. The villa itself was somewhat disappointing. We have booked many trips using VROB and this is the first time we felt disappointment. Pool access was very important for us and after arriving we found out the villa next door would not let us use the pool as presented by the renter. The lay out was very different with a bedroom between the kitchen and living room- not good for individuals with different sleeping habits. We felt very secure with the security system. The views from the deck were fantastic and we even could enjoy music at night from the nearby resorts. With great views comes quite a walk with good size hills. This is not for anyone who is not in shape or has difficulty walking. One member of our group had to take a cab up the hill each day from the beach.

a fantastic vacation getaway
This was our first trip to Antigua but it definitely won't be our last. As a matter of fact we have already book a stay for next year. Our stay at Sunset Villa was perfect. It began with Trevor meeting us at the airport. As other guests have noted we can not say enough about Trevor. He was so pleasant and helpful. It's like having your own private concierge. The villa was perfect, lots of room, brand new kitchen, fabulous balconies. The views are breathtaking. Each night we watched the sunset while having dinne r on the lower balcony. The beach is just a short walk away and as for the hill not bad at all. We didn't do a lot of exploring while we were there because we were so content to just stay local. We did have lunch at Anas on the beach and it was 5 star all the way. Plan to see more of the island on our return visit. My brother and his wife flew in for a few days and fell in love with the villa and the location. They are planning on coming back again. This is the perfect vacation spot for all those who want the beauty of the island without all the congestion of resort hotels.

Great Location, Fantastic Caribbean Ocean Views, Full a/c
I loved the location of Sunset Villa as you can walk down to beach if you like a good walk back up, only 2 minutes to a large groceries store and 5 restaurants, a beautiful beach for relaxing or water sports with several beach bars. The villa is moderate in interior appointments but very comfortable in regards to bedding and sofas with full a/c and large outdoor patio with gas grill my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With free airport transfers it made getting to the villa stress free. Plus Trevor will take you to the grocery store while you wait for your car to be delivered to the villa by booking with Oakland Car Rental and pickkup at villa too. I recommend the villa for those wanting a nice place to stay at a responsible rate so you can spend your money on other activities like the Catamaran Ride to Cades Reef via Treasure Island Cruises for excellent snorkeling, entertainment and lunch or Antigua Paddles for kayaking and short walk up to top of Bird Island for great pictures (get the pickup and dropoff as you won't find the place on your own) Antigua has the most gorgeous white sand beaches and aqua blue waters. FIVE STAR SUNSET VIEW!
Going from 11 degree "Thunder-Ice" storm to beautiful Antigua was exactly what the doctor ordered! The Island beaches are fantastic. The sunset every single night of our stay was absolutely breathtaking and watching all the boats and activities going on in Dickinson Bay while drinking our morning cup of coffee was so relaxing. We could not have asked for a better view from our balcony. We decided to rent a car which allowed us the opportunity to drive to other beaches, sightseeing, St, John's and mingle with the friendly local Antiguan's. WARNING however, it was a bit challenging driving around as there are not many signs to follow and the roads are narrow and is some need of repair, this added another layer to our adventure. Carol (owner) was great to work with as we were planning our stay. Trevor (property manager) was the perfect host, he was so accommodating. We had accidentally left some items behind and before I could even realize they were gone, I received a phone call and within just a few days I had them back. SIGH of relief! We did not spend most of our time in the villa, the beds were comfortable, it was great having a washing machine! Wifi and telephones available to us made keeping in touch with our loved ones back home very easy. The "Blu Pineapple" Restaurant across the street makes the best pizza! We went Kayaking/Snorkeling with "ANTIGUA PADDLES" the lovely owners Jennie and Conrad La Barrie and their son (James) were absolutely gracious hosts, if you enjoy snorkeling, this activity would be worth you while!
