About this property

Old Country House and pool In Umbrian Hills Between Foligno And Assisi

Stone , iron and wood ; these are the materials used by my grandparents to build on the foundations of an ancient medieval monastery , the San Lorenzo house built on top of a hill overlooking the city of Foligno . From here every day my grandfather was leading his ox-cart in the surrounding countryside dotted with olive trees .
The building was completely renovated in the year 2015 using original materials ( ancient bricks and terracotta tiles, wooden beams , local pottery handmade by the masters of Deruta ) . The house consists in two apartments fully furnished in country style also using antique furniture . Each house consists of ground floor living room with a sofa wedding bed , kitchenette , bathroom and fireplace; on the second floor are located a double bedroom , a room with two single beds , a bathroom with shower . TV LED in each room . Pool available.

Wij verbleven in de linkerhelft van dit dubbele woonhuis. Het betreft een oud bijgebouw van de vroegere boerderij dat met zeer veel aandacht en smaak totaal gerenoveerd is. Prachtige tegels in de keuken, op de vloer en op de trap; bijzondere oude deuren; mooi sanitair; moderne douche en goed ingerichte keuken. De weg naar het huis is onverhard maar biedt geen probleem. Het huis biedt de mogelijkheid om buiten overdekt te verblijven en heeft een prachtig uitzicht over het dal, zo hoog als het gelegen is. Het is zeer rustig gelegen. Muggen waren tijdens ons verblijf talrijk en moeten wel geweerd worden.

Ein wunderschönes Wohnhaus mit Terrasse und großem Pool

Die Ferienwohnung ist eher eine Doppelhaushälfte, als eine Wohnung. Im Eingangsgeschoss sind die Wohnbereiche mit Wohnen, Essplatz, Küche und WC, im Obergeschoss die beiden Schlafzimmer mit WC und ebenerdiger Dusche untergebracht. In einem Zimmer steht ein Doppelbett, im anderen Zimmer stehen drei Einzelbetten. Des gesamte Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll im italienischen Landhausstil eingerichtet. Die offene Küche ist funktional ausgestattet mit großem Kühl- und Gefrierschrank. Der gesamte Bereich um den Eingang ist überdacht und hervorragend als Aussichtsterrasse für Frühstück / Abendessen nutzbar. Der Blick ins weite Tal über Wälder und Olivenhaine ist grandios. Im Garten stehen eine Grillstelle, ein weiterer Essbereich und Gartenliegen zur Benutzung zur Verfügung. Das Auto kann in diesem Umzäunten Garten sicher abgestellt werden. Der große, sehr saubere Infinity-Pool hat eine schöne Treppe, einen Sitzbereich mit Sprudeldüsen, einen eher flachen und einen tiefen Schwimmbereich. Um den Pool stehen auf der sehr gepflegten Liegewiese sehr viele Liegen, Sonnenschirme und kleine Ablagetische zur Verfügung. Im Haus und bis zum ca. 30m entfernten Pool steht überall sehr schnelles WLAN kostenlos zur Verfügung. Im Wohnzimmer und im großen Schlafzimmer gibt es jeweils eine Klimaanlage und einen FT-Fernseher. Die Zufahrt zum Haus und zum Hotel führt über eine ca. 1 km lange gepflegte Schotterstraße. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

The home and surrounding area is exactly as pictured. It is bright, very clean and very well maintained. It is also stocked with essentials so you can immediately relax and enjoy!!!! Carlo met us there, he is very warm and friendly. He gave us all the information we needed to enjoy his home. We were also able to contact him easily through out our stay to answer any questions. He also provided information and ideas to enjoy the surrounding area events. We were able to enjoy the gorgeous pool any time of the day, it was very comfortable and relaxing. We did not get to eat in the restaurant next door, but heard it was authentic and excellent. I highly recommend this as a choice, and would love to bring my family back. Thank you very much!!!!

Carlo Conti and his brother, Alessandro, were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. They stopped at nothing to make our stay very comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. We appreciated that they could speak English and were quickly available if he we had any questions, even though both live in Rome. Carlo provided a detailed and informative list of places to see, eat, drink....much appreciated. The high quality accommodations here were perfect for our one month stay. I loved having a well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, reliable wi-fi, and secure parking behind a locked remote controlled gate. As well as the privacy, we enjoyed the night lights of Foligno from the terrace. There is a very convenient, small yet complete, market no more than five minutes by car. Because of its central location, we were able to make several easy trips to the picturesque towns of Spello, Assisi, Bevagna, Montefalco, Spoleto. The pictures Carlo has posted of the home are realistic and accurately represent this cozy, comfortable, and very nicely furnished home. It was prefect for us! We couldn't have been happier!

Fantastico casale dove rilassarsi.

Il casale si trova in posizione perfetta per trascorrere una vacanza in totale relax, immersi nella natura e potendo comunque visitare i meravigliosi paesi a pochi km dal casale come Foligno stessa....Spoleto e soprattutto Assisi....e perchè no....in poco più di mezz'ora ci si trova nella spettacolare Perugia. Il casale è ben organizzato e ristrutturato recentemente sempre con i materiali originali.....e visto il tempo favorevole abbiamo usufruito del barbecue esterno. Grazie per averci ospitato e per averci fatto trascorrere alcuni giorni rilassanti lontani dalla città!

una bellissima settimana in Umbria! La casa la casa è veramente bella e rispecchia lo stile locale con pezzi antichi e tutti i comfort. Il letto è comodo e gli elettrodomestici e stoviglie nuovissimi. 10 minuti in macchina da Foligno valgono la vista sulle colline e sulla valle che si gode sia dalla camera da letto che dal portico. La consiglio.
