Stunning Freestanding Private House by Artist, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)
About Victoria Rogers
I truly enjoy sharing this beautiful casita and the downtown Santa Fe lifestyle with the many wonderful new and return guests who choose Casita Ristra. I’m a retired RN, practicing massage therapist of more than 20 years, museum-collected photographer and conscientious NM Real Estate Broker! Bringing care and quality to every guest's experience is my goal. I was enchanted by New Mexico in 1979 and since then, I've had an artist's romance with the landscape and the culture. My collaborative book 'Santa Fe's Historic McKenzie Neighborhood' was published with history and original artwork of the architecture of the area where the casita is located! You are invited to receive special tips on what Santa Fe has to offer (from a local), for short-term or longterm visits or life change (happy to show you around and give you insight into Santa Fe's real estate market).

Perfect residence with outside patios
Great location - short walk to Plaza and restaurants, easy walk or short drive to Canyon Road. Victoria was terrific - available for questions and assistance as needed.
Excellent location for walking to city center sights.
Casita Ristra is the perfect size for two people and is exactly as shown in the photos. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bedding is super-comfortable, the casita is in a very interesting neighborhood near the central plaza, and it's within walking distance of anything you'd want to visit in the downtown area.
I have an allergy to artificial scents, and the casita, the towels, and the bedding were all scent-free, which I super-appreciate.
There is a small courtyard for enjoying some outside time, but due to the surrounding high fence and other casitas nearby, there is no view to speak of, other than the sky above. The casita is pet-friendly, but the owner doesn't want dogs doing their business in the courtyard, so it was necessary to be especially vigilant when the dog was outside. We always pick up after our dog, but it's impossible to completely control where they do their business when it's time!
Every VRBO owner is different about check-in. Victoria is very thorough about describing the details and rules of the house, and wanted to be there when we arrived. However, we were traveling from a long distance and were not able to commit to an arrival time, so she did the check-in over the phone. Some people really want to visit with the owners, and we prefer a little less attention. Victoria provided a lot of information at check-in and was available if needed, but after check-in allowed us our privacy.
This adobe house was just what we were looking for. The pictures and location was right on.
Victoria was a pleasant and informative hostess. My whole experience was very professional. This house was very comfortable and location was the best, we could walk everywhere.
Perfect little home for our stay
The location was superb. Very quiet area close to Georgia O'Keefe museum. The house was lovely with very nice finishes and a great shower. Everything we needed was here and we enjoyed also having a tv in the bedroom. We loved having a fire a couple of nights. In warmer weather the patios would be superb.
Comfy and Convenient
This was the perfect place for our three night stay in Santa Fe. It's a short walk to the plaza and restaurants but tucked away in a historic neighborhood. It was a great little house to just hang out when we needed a break. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into furnishing and equipping the house. Both the living area and the bed were very comfortable. There were a lot of extra amenities that we don't usually see in a short term rental. Victoria was a great host. She met us shortly after checking in to give us an orientation to the house and the area. We would definitely stay here again-hopefully longer next time.
Truly extraordinary location - 3 short blocks (3/10-mile) from the historic heart of downtown Santa Fe - the Plaza! - and also to the Guadalupe Railyard District! Walk to museums/galleries/restaurants/shopping/churches, absolutely everything (even the buses that can take you the 3 or so miles to Museum Hill for the Folk Art Museum, Wheelright, Spanish Colonial Museum and Botanical Gardens!)
Owner is HAPPY to make suggestions for the places not to miss seeing, special events, share links for more information, provide tips on day trips and routes.
There is so much to see and do in Santa Fe. Hopefully you are coming for a bunch of days and can really enjoy the visit and also have a wonderful retreat in your quiet, private, luxury casita.
