Friends vacation

This house is beautiful and well equipped. Lots of beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, coolers, corn hole, and beach cart. You need to bring absolutely nothing for beach equipment. So close to Newport, Block Island, Watch Hill, restaurants and bars. Basement was lots of fun! Would definitely stay again!

Summer Wind is the perfect house for my family and me to create memorable moments. This is our fourth year staying at this fabulous property. The house is spacious and well equipped, and only a few miles from the beach. We already are looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect Spot

We had 10 adults and 5 children. Quiet neighborhood. Home has many amenities. Comfortable beds, plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Kitchen fully stocked. Great place to stay!

Great Escape

This is the third summer we have returned to Summer Wind. This home is a perfect getaway for my family. It is spacious, clean, well stocked and conveniently located to Westerly attractions. We made many fun family memories while staying in this lovely home.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had an incredible vacation experience at Summer Wind. Beginning with timely responses to inquiries pre visit, Gene and Suzanne could not have been better hosts. Their property is stunning: very spacious, clean and well- appointed. Everything that one may need has been anticipated and provided for guest use - with the exception of food and beverages! There was more than enough space for nine adults and six children. The outdoor pergola provided a lovely haven at any time day, the outdoor dining tables/barbeque area was a wonderful venue for enjoying meals together and the children enjoyed playing in the yard. Everyone hopes to return in the future. Thank you very much. Lynn

Great Family Space

The space was great for our extended family. The new outdoor space was spacious and very comfortable. The downstairs arcade, lounge area and pool table were a hit with kids. The house had all the amenities you need.

A Wonderful Place for Our Family Reunion

We held our annual family reunion at the Summer Wind Beach House. There were 10 of us (6 adults and 4 children ages 12-14). This was the best equipped vacation house we have ever used. The kitchen was fully stocked and the outdoor kitchen even included a pizza oven. Downstairs was a "playground" for the kids with video games, movies and a pool table. The great backyard included a great seating area to relax with drinks as well as a bocce court. (We also ate most of our dinners outdoors.) The state beach is a short drive away and the house came with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. Overall, a great place.

Unbelievable experience!

The photographs accurately depict the home, but nothing can convey the hospitality offered by the hosts, Gene and Suzanne. Everything was available to us. Beach chairs, boogie boards, even the cookware for a lobster boil ! The finished basement was the favorite place for our young adult kids. The patio and pergola were wonderful after a day at the beach, and the gas grill was used every night. In short, we can’t recommend the Summer Wind highly enough. We’re very grateful to Gene and Suzanne.

Summer Wind Get Away

My children, grandchildren and myself had an enjoyable stay at Summer Wind. The house easily held all 14 of us. The large backyard with an ample eating area, outdoor grill, and pizza oven were great at dinner time. My grandchildren especially loved the well equipped finished basement complete with pool table, video games, TV, and board games. It was wonderful spending time together in this lovely setting.

Perfect - Over the Top

Everything was perfect, from meeting with Gene to go over the property to anything and everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Can't say enough good about our hosts, the property and all the additional stuff to make the stay perfect for all ages. One of the grandchildren asked her mon if they could just stay there forever. :)!

Very good property. Well maintained with all the items that you may need in a stay. Plenty of space. Great landscaping. Property manager is very responsive and does a great job. Good location for all attractions and the Beach in Rhode Island. Good value!

Summer Family Vacation

We loved this property and location. The house feels very large and we had 15 people, 4 of which were kids under 10. The outdoor space was spacious and super relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet. The kids loved riding bikes and scooters in the street. Since it’s a dead end there was hardly any traffic at all. Super close to good restaurants, the best beaches and shopping. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Fantastic

The pictures don’t do this house justice. We were there to celebrate our son’s graduation from the Coast Guard Academy but will definitely be going back for vacation. Gene, the owner was so welcoming and very responsive. The house was so well supplied and had everything you would want or need. The location is perfect. That back yard was awesome. My family loved it. Gene even caters to the babies and had toys galore. Thank you Gene, for a memorable stay.

A SummerWind X-Mas!

My family and I stayed at this AMAZING property over the 2022 Christmas Holiday and it was just about as perfect as it could be! I am from a large family of 7 kids with lots of nieces and nephews and many who live out of state. Typically, we celebrate Christmas at my parents house in northern RI, but my parents are getting older, and my father had a health scare this summer, so we wanted to give them a break from hosting this year and find a place that was large enough and comfortable enough to host those of us who were able to get together. Gene and Suzanne’s property was the perfect spot for us. From the moment I contacted them and explained our situation and how we loved the set up with the first floor bedroom so my dad wouldn’t have to worry about stairs, they were so accommodating. With the little ones, it was really important to us to be able to have a Christmas tree and to have the house feel like Christmas and Suzanne completely understood and decorated the house to the nines. It looked absolutely gorgeous and so festive! I read several of the reviews before booking and they are 110% true. Gene and Suzanne literally think of everything and provide so much to their guests. We had more than enough towels and comfortable bed linens, soap, shampoo etc. to last for the entire four days. The kitchen had everything we needed from serving platters to plates, barware, a coffee maker, Keurig machine, plenty of condiments, and spices and everything was clearly labeled, so was very easy to find. My teenage nieces and nephews had such a great time down in the basement in the captains quarters with the pool table and the big screen TV. They provided ample phone chargers throughout the house, which was so appreciated. They had baby gates and a booster seat for my one year-old nephew and lots of toys and games for the little ones. We found a lovely Santa Claus from the Westerly town Facebook page who came over on Christmas Eve and handed out presents to the kids. We just could not be any happier with the way that our experience went and are so thankful to have found this beautiful home with such accommodating hosts. We made some wonderful memories that will last a lifetime which was just what we needed after the challenging year we had all had! We hope to be repeat customers at Summerwind and would recommend this property to anyone. THANK-YOU Gene and Suzanne for all you did to make this such a special holiday for us! The Gill Family

Amazing Stay
