Hi, We are sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with your stay. The house is professionally cleaned in between each guest and our numbers are left on the check in and out instructions in case everything is not perfect upon check in. We did receive complaints that the cleaners were not thorough and have switched companies for the upcoming 2019 season. Sheets and towels are provided, but due to the quick turn over we ask that guests get the first load (there are 2 washers and 2 dryers) started as to make sure that the next check in is not delayed. The beach pass is for beautiful South Kingstown Town Beach. We will note that your family did considerable damage to the property. The wood floors were gouged and scratched throughout the upstairs and the bedrooms. We have been in the rental business for 20 years and have never had that kind of damage from a weekly rental. We rent several houses in the area and go out of our way to make sure that each guest has a wonderful vacation. Chuck and Emily

My husband and I have managed over 150 rentals in Rhode Island over the past 20 years and therefore have encountered all types of guests. This property is one that we personally own. In all of this time, I have never encountered a renter such as this woman. Upon check in she called my cellphone to tell me how wonderful everything was, that her kids were loving the hot tub and the pool and that the property was perfect. She then called later that night (a Saturday) to tell me that she thought the house needed further cleaning. I immediately apologized and called our cleaning crew. The cleaner was back at the house within 2 hours of her complaint. She immediately sent the cleaner away saying she was all se refusing her services. After she sent the cleaner away, she called me to complain that the cleaner did not clean! That night I received many messages from her about things like a smudge on the side of the refrigerator and that the hot tub water was foggy and accused the cleaner of not knowing that there was a pandemic. I explained to her that the cleaner has a strict list of instructions on how to sterilize a house and that we were paying extra to ensure the safety of our guests. I also let her know that the hot tub had been treated just before she arrived, so the chemicals need a couple of hours to do their job. However, to be extra accommodating and reassure her, I had our maintenance man go to the house the very next morning, drain the hot tub, wipe it down with bleach and fill it with new water. This was ONLY to be accommodating since we are in a pandemic. I am a nurse myself and have great sympathy for where we are in the world! There are NO cockroaches in the house. She sent me a picture of a single (ONE) stink bug (common in South County) at which I sent her back a description of exactly what it was. If doors are left open, bugs may enter the property. There is nothing I can do about that. There are security cameras at the front and the back entrance of the property. This is for the safety of guests. This woman contacted me daily throughout her stay multiple times a day, texted with profanities including multiple "f" word comments, and refused any help that I offered. She clearly was looking for money off of her rent, as she cited multiple times what an expensive vacation she was on. They lit fireworks off in the yard (not allowed) and had multiple guests throughout their stay. She took the electric dog collars that are left for our guest's convenience and has refused to answer my messages or calls regarding getting them back. Her complaints are unsubstantiated. I would never rent to this woman again.

We have a professional cleaning service that comes in between each guest. This year we switched companies and didn't hear any complaints all season- before or after this guest. My cell phone number and email contact is posted at the property letting guests know to please contact me if there is ANYTHING that they need, or if there is an issue with the house. I never heard from this family. If they had called at check in to let us know about the floors or any of the other issues that they cited, we would have sent the cleaners back to the house! Cleanliness is a top priority in all of the homes that we rent. It is too bad that we were not contacted, as we would have surely fixed any issues.
