Charming and comfortable cottage. Beautiful lake with kayaks provided. Susie, the on-site manager was very helpful. We would definitely return.
This property is beautiful. Great access to the lake (easy to swim and boat). Beautiful sunrises. Super clean and comfortable cottage with lots of spaces to sit and relax. Great wifi, comfy bed, the porch was our favorite! Susie was a wonderful host!
fishing with the boys
We spent a few days at the Acorn Cottage to fish a little with our boys. The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. Taking young boys to the dam proved to be good practice for catching fish. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, and everything we needed was readily available. Susie was always available and accommodating for information. We rented a boat for a day and enjoyed some joy riding. We walked at the top of Mt. Maria to have a beautiful view of Hubbard Lake and googled the history of a ski resort that once resided on this mountain. Cell service was poor, but that was with AT&T, however, it was very peaceful being away from the cell phone and disruptions of every day life therefore was a gift not having service.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Hubbard Lake is a fishing destination for many anglers in search of walleye, perch and bass. With the recent instillation of a Verizon tower on the east shore, Verizon seems to be the service provider with the most reliable cell phone reception recommended by many residents and guests. We welcome your return to explore more of our beautiful lake and history.

We would definitely go back
So glad you were "Hubbard Lake Happy" for a few days. We would love to have you back!
Just what we needed
We stayed here for a few days in August. Appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage and the quiet location on beautiful Hubbard Lake. Kayaks were ready for us to use. The property manager responded promptly to questions and requests.
Thank you for your review! Hope to see you back again!
Owner explained everything to a T in the listing and did not disappoint. Water was warm and swimmable because of a Sandy shallow lake for a good distance out from shore. Sleeping was easy, comfortable mattresses and arrangements. Things to do for adventure near and far but was worth the trips. I would buy a place on that lake. Will definitely recommend and have recommended to friends about the cottage
Meeting lovely guests like you is why we chose to open our cottage to be enjoyed by others. So glad you were "Hubbard Lake Happy" for a few days! Please come back anytime.. and I know some good realtors if you choose to purchase ;-)
