Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, seasonally-heated swimming pool (The pool is generally heated from March 1 to November 30, weather permitting) and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Overall great place to stay this was our 3rd vacation here and no complaints.

Thank you for your review. Most guests staying at the Sandpiper are guests that have stayed in the past. The tropical courtyard and swimming pool area are very welcoming. The property is conveniently located to area restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance of your stay. Bender Vacation Rentals

Quick getaway

We reserved this condo last minute and the management company was wonderful!! We arrived early and we were granted entrance without any additional fees which was a huge plus as we had a 2 year old and we were concerned how to entertain for several hours. I highly recommend Bender Vacation Rentals!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to the Sandpiper every year since 2012, I believe, and always have a very nice enjoyable vacation. My suggestion is new bath towels. Some look like rags and most are graying and wearing thin. I would also like a lichen dis rag in addition to the sponge. You also have added a damage deposit to the charges and when think of damage deposit, it is returned when no damage is done. But obviously that is not the case.

We truly appreciate your repeat patronage! We will certainly address the need for new linens with our housekeeping company and would have happily had yours replaced had we been made aware. The damage fee is not a deposit; it is listed as a damage waiver and is insurance against accidental damage. This is a common fee with vacation rentals. We hope that you will be back with us at this wonderful property!

Condo 6A - carpet is disgusting!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have rented Sandpiper condos for years. Very disappointed in a few things with Bender Realty and owners of condo 6A. 1) The carpet is disgusting!! Would not walk on it without shoes. Will not rent this condo again until new flooring is installed.2) The bath towels provided from Bender Realty are a joke. For the cost of renting the condos, Bender could definitely provide better towels.

Having rented at Sandpiper for years, we hope that you have experienced quality service from Bender Realty, and we regret that such was not the case this year. Frustrating & Disapointing

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been staying at Sandpiper off and on since 1990. This year was the most frustrating of all other years combined. First, for the 2nd straight year I was told the condo wasn't cleaned. However, both years, I was sitting outside the condo on the deck waiting for the code to enter the condo and no one ever came. This year I sat from 2pm until 4:30pm. I contacted Bender twice and was told the cleaning was not complete. However, I then received a text saying it was completed. I was sitting on the deck outside the condo the entire time. No one ever came to the condo. Therefore, the condo was actually ready the entire time I sat on the deck in the heat. Not sure if the cleaning company is attempting to stretch their hours for pay purposes or Bender has an issue with bad communication? Then, as I was leaving on Saturday the elevator was broke down which required me to carry all luggage down the steps. Normally not an issue, however, I have an arthritic hip and back. Also, recovering from heart surgery a month ago. Not Bender's issue I get it. However, they are charging elite level prices so the treatment of customers and amenities should be elevated as well. I have recommended this property to numerous individuals over the years. I love the layout and location. The property, location and stay did not disappoint but the first and last impression left me frustrated and disappointed.

We truly appreciate your repeat patronage of Sandpiper and Bender Vacation Rentals. Check in is between 3 and 5, and we always call our guests the second housekeeping informs us their condo is ready. Housekeepers are paid by the unit, not by the hour, so there is no intentional delay on the part of the cleaners or Bender. We regret the elevator outage at such a crucial point of your stay, and we would have gladly assisted you in bringing your luggage down to your car, as we have done for others. We hope that we will see you again next year, either at Sandpiper or another great condo in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, or Ft. Morgan.

Overpriced and added fees

My only complaint is the unruly and rude kids who came in on the Thursday before we left. Loud, running through condo late at night, riding skate boards on deck and an electric scooter. Running around the property at late hours being loud. No parental control. Thankfully we did not have to deal with that long. But overall it's always a great time.

Last minute decision

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My sister and her husband had a trip planned to Washington state but due to Covid the trip was canceled at the last minute. Since she had already taken the time off from work, they still wanted to take a trip, and decided to go somewhere south. I had stayed at the Sandpiper condo several years ago and enjoyed it, so I suggested they go there. She asked me to help her make arrangements and to join them. So I googled Sandpiper condo in gulf shores and made arrangements 2 days prior to departure all on my phone. There were several units to choose from being just after spring break and before summer vacation. I chose 6A because it looked very nice in the pictures and because it was halfway between the elevator and the stairs to the beach. The view from the deck was amazing too. The office staff was very friendly and helpful getting our information and codes to us. The unit was very nice and well kept, we were all very pleased. We enjoyed shopping, playing mini golf, go carts. We got one good day at the beach, the rest of time it was cloudy and 2 red flags! So we just enjoyed walking on the beach. On the second day there, the keypad on our door would not always accept the code, and then it got to where we were afraid to all leave at the same time because we might not get back in. I called the office and they sent someone right away. He fixed it quickly and we never had another problem. Overall we had a great time. I can highly recommend using Bender realty and the Sandpiper condominium, we’ll come back for sure.

Reviewer Comments: View of Gulf was great. very easy to walk out and set up on the beach. condo was clean and had cool AC. pictures accurately represented condo. had a minor repair we needed to get done to our van and Bender made a referral to a great auto repair shop. We used WIFI a little and it worked fine in main room of condo. Main room has "smart TV". Thanks!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a good stay the month of January,2015,so good that we have booked the unit for Jan and Feb 2016. Closet space was very adequate, and the kitchen was well equipped. However, there are some areas that need improvement. We discovered mold in the hall bathroom toilet tank which we attempted to eradicate with bleach. This issue needs to be addressed. We were disappointed in the fitted bed sheets which were too large for the full size mattresses and too small for the queen. Couch and matching chair were very soiled and uncomfortable. It would also be nice to have more kitchen storage. The unit lacked a good reading lamp so we contributed one. Thanks to the owner of this unit and Bender Realty for your efforts to make our stay enjoyable. You can't beat the Sandpiper for a place on the beach!
