Garrisons Big Hole River Ranch - Un endroit idéal pour s'évader!

Liars Lodge se trouve au milieu d'un ranch de bétail opérationnel de cinquième génération - le ranch Big Hole River des Garrisons et est la base idéale pour des vacances de pêche à la mouche, une excursion de chasse, l'observation des oiseaux, une randonnée ou tout simplement pour s'évader. Dehors, l'accès privé à 2,5 km de la célèbre rivière Big Hole du Montana est parfait pour la pêche à gué flottante ou solitaire. La cabane est également située au centre entre les rivières Beaverhead, Madison, Ruby et Jefferson, le parc national de Yellowstone et le ski de classe mondiale. La cabine est toute neuve et est dotée d'équipements de qualité supérieure avec plusieurs options de couchage disponibles.

Le ranch est à 2,5 milles à l'est de Glen, Montana, facilement accessible en prenant l'Interstate 15 au sud de Butte ou au nord de Dillon. Si vous voyagez de l'est, vous pouvez également accéder à la maison depuis la route de Birmanie (un chemin de terre bien conditionné), qui suit la rivière Big Hole de Twin Bridges à Glen. Les sites d'accès à la pêche sont largement espacés en aval de Glen, ce qui en fait l'une des sections les plus exploitées de la rivière Big Hole.

We loved this place. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare food. We really enjoyed watching the wild life from the back patio. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful.

Montana family getaway

It was the perfect space for our family to enjoy the back country of Montana. Perfect fly fishing spots on the property, easy to get to Yellowstone for the day, Nevada City/Virginia city and Ennis. Property was clean and the house was fully stock with basic needs.

one of a kind

The beautiful location and property offer access to a river and incredible privacy. Horses are present on the premises and might occasionally pay you a friendly visit. During our visit, we observed only horses and did not see any cattle. IMO that’s a good thing because A) the horses are beautiful and B) you don’t get that cattle aroma.

Beautiful, quiet paradise

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. LaTresha was was very quick to respond when I had questions. My husband fished the Big Hole everyday, and caught several fish. Would definitely go back!

A wonderful place

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Big Hole River Retreat. The house was beautiful and comfortable. The location, next to grazing horses and deer, was tranquil and relaxing. Access to the Big Hole was easy and close. A thunderstorm came up on our third day and we were treated to a DOUBLE RAINBOW-even mother nature contributed! We would come back in a heartbeat and hope to be able to make a return trip next year.

Montana Heaven

The ranch is amazing and being on the Big Hole River is so special as it is one of the best rivers in Montana for fly fishing. The accommodations are perfect. 360 degree views of mountains, the river, horses, deer and maybe even a moose sighting! Everything you need to be cozy is provided: great beds, a gas fireplace for cool mornings and evenings, a patio and BBQ, complete laundry and a well stocked kitchen. You won’t want to leave.

House on the Burma Rd

The house is great for a fishing location. Not far from Twin or Dillon. It’s furnished nicely. And my son and his friend love to watch the deer every evening as we grilled out. LaTresha was an excellent host. Her communication was prompt and accurate. They have a great ranch and I’m very pleased we chose this cabin and location.

Adventure of a Lifetime

The PERFECT place to access all of Montana!! 2 hours to whitewater rafting and two hours to Yellowstone! National Forests around every corner. No crowds and pure peace and serenity for you or your family! We pulled fish out of the Big Hole river like crazy, saw bald eagles, deer and checked off multiple bucket list items. The Cabin on the Garrison Ranch is the perfect get away.

Rural getaway.

Expect a very clean and well appointed cabin when you arrive. You can expect some paper towels and kleenex, bath soap, shampoo, hair dryer, basic seasonings, salt pepper, and some m ustard. Lots of wildlife and house has a spotting scope. We love it.

Big Hole River ranch cabin

Short walk to river. Owners provided chairs next to river that was wonderful to sit in and enjoy the view.Husband tried to bank fish but it was somewhat difficult with not a lot of access. Better to float. Would love to have a patio cover to sit under when it rains or snows and also to keep furniture dry. Maybe next time. We very much enjoyed our stay. Moose, bulls, geese, beaver, sandhill cranes. Great,

Thanks for your stay, Rhonda. Sorry you didn’t find the patio as inviting as you would have hoped. Although I am glad you enjoyed our abundance of wildlife. We have been told people see more wild life off the patio then they see in all of Yellowstone Park. We do have 2.5 miles of private fishing access. I am sorry your husband was unable to access.

Too Blessed to be Stressed

Everything was great. We don't have any complaints. The Garrison's Ranch wrapped up our lengthy Montana trip. It truly was the best for last. We caught multiple species of fish on the fly rods. There is no doubt we'll be back next year. Extra thanks to Todd. My son thought you were the greatest and wanted me to let you know it was the perfect birthday. Thanks for sharing your place with us. Keep doing Cowboy stuff!

Relaxing and Beautiful

We rented Liar's Lodge as part of a fishing vacation. All I can say is that this place is terrific! The lodge itself is incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated both inside and out. Like another review said, it is a bit off the beaten path, but that's what makes this place special (the reality is that you are only 20 minutes away from the town of Dillon). It is about 100 yards away from the Big Hole River and sits in between ranch land with horses and tons of wildlife. During our visit, we saw hundreds of deer and two moose and their calves. Being able to watch and pet the owner's horses were a definite plus. Finally, the owners could be any nicer. They rental process was easy, and they welcomed us with a smile and great service. I would definitely stay at Liar's Lodge again (and plan to)!

Relax and take life easy for awhile

This was probably the most relaxing vacation that I've ever had! It is the only cabin on the property so you have the entire place to yourself. The cabin is well appointed and clean. Just sit back and enjoy the sound of nature and relax. The town of Dillon is 30 minutes away and has anything that you may need for your stay as well as some good restaurants and some neat places to go. We took a day trip to Yellowstone which we enjoyed and visited Virginia city and Nevada city which are old gold mining towns that are really cool. Also if you like to trout fish this is the place. You have 2.5 miles of private stream access and the fishing is fantastic! Do yourself a favor and book a float trip with Sunrise Fly Shop in Melsrose which is about 10 miles away. Todd and Latresha are great and are there if you need anything. If you are thinking of staying in this area do yourself a favor and stay here! You wont regret it!

Totally Awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I accidently found this "little piece of heaven" on a fly fishing trip to Montana in 2014. We again returned in 2015; as we were so impressed on our first visit. Garrison's Liar's Lodge is in the heart of a beautiful working Montana ranch. The lodge is perfectly located, so the warm Montana breezes are always blowing at just the right times of the day. The setting is quiet and serene, with the majestic mountain ranges in the distance. It is not uncommon to see wildlife off the back deck or hear the howl of a coyote at night. The lodge is uniquely decorated, clean, spacious and totally reflects the Montana way of life. The Big Hole River is in your back yard, along with the Beaverhead nearby. - a fly fishermen's dream location. The Liar's Lodge is just one component of the "total awesome experience" you will find at the Garrison's. Todd & LaTresha Garrison will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The hospitality they offer to their guests is extraordinary. We cannot thank you guys enough for the "totally awesome" visits that we have had to the Liar's Lodge. Looking forward to 2016!

Wonderful getaway

What a lovely, secluded place to stay! Our only visitors were the beautiful horses wandering around the magnificent ranch upon which this house rests. The back porch leads to a beautiful grassed- in and fenced backyard. It’s just a short walk to the river’s edge, where there is great trout fishing! We enjoyed visiting with LaTresha, her daughter and their 3 dogs.

SW Montana Getaway

Our first time in SW Montana and our accommodations at the Liars Lodge were the perfect location for a base camp. The men left and found rivers to fish, the ladies enjoyed the quiet of the cabin or walked the property or took off for our own adventures nearby. The cabin was lovely and well provisioned, bedding and towels provided. I didn’t realize until we got there that there was a sofa bed so that was a plus. Also didn’t realize no AC but the cool temps and open windows were just fine. The hosts were responsive and pleasant. Thank you, LaTresha and Todd, for a wonderful week away from reality!!

Beautiful cabin in an amazing location

We rented this as a romantic getaway for our Anniversary. The cabin was stunning, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The river is a very short walk away and even though it feels secluded, you are close enough to Dillon and a lot of other fun activities. We will be back!

Beautiful getaway

What a place! We felt lucky to be able to stay at this property. The house was stunning, so we’ll decorated and stocked with everything you need. Short walk to the river to fish or watch the moose and bald eagles. Woke up in the mornings to watch the deer walking past the bedroom window. We’d definitely like to come back!

Amazing property and location

This is a gem. If you would like to unplug and fly fish, this is the place. The home is new, we’ll maintained and has everything you need. The location is also spectacular with private access to the lower big hole river. We loved everything about it and will definitely return!

We are a ranching family of four. Blessed to have been chosen to be stewards of the land that runs adjacent to the famous Big Hole River. The ranch has been in our family now for four generations...our children being the fifth generation if they choose to carry on the family business. We raise cattle, horses, hay and have an exclusive hunting business (the ranch is home to trophy whitetail deer). We built our cabin (a labor of love built by us and our brother) to share with family, friends and quests! We would be privileged to share it with you!!
