Great house and location!

Loved the house! It was a great location, quiet neighborhood yet easily accessible to coffee shops, restaurants and the Garden district. The house was clean and well stocked and a good size for two bedrooms. The bathroom was a bit small and could use a little TLC, but overall the house was very nice. Truly enjoyed our stay in New Orleans!

Nice Spot to Stop in NOLA

The house was in a great location close to St. Charles and the streetcars and on street parking was easy. The high ceilings, windows and wood gave the home a nice New Orleans feel. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow and they start right at the door, but it fits the architecture of the time. We did not have a mobility issue, but it could be a concern for someone who does. The weather was great the week we were there, so we didn't need to use the heat or air conditioning much, but when we did it was nice to have the central HVAC that worked well.

Pretty Good with a Few Caveats

The apartment itself was fairly spacious. The bedrooms are charming as shown in the photographs, though one of the bedroom dressers has seen its better days. Being there for a longer stay we did utilize the kitchen equipment which was perfectly adequate. Eating sidesaddle at the butcher block island was a bit uncomfortable and we wondered why there was not even a small kitchen table when there was plenty of room for one. The bathroom is small and quite basic, but other than having to hold the toilet handle down for a long time and a few floor tiles which ocassionally came up under foot it did suffice. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. It was quite warm during our stay and the AC was excellent.

One daily annoyance was a Rotweiler that was let out a few doors down every morning around 6-6:30 that barked at everything that moved for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Obviously this was nothing that Eric could control.

The neighborhood is what you would call "up and coming" with a great coffee house (French Truck) and some great restaurants within a few blocks. We particularly liked the High Hat for dinners and Bear Cat (if not the French Truck) for breakfast. The street car is a couple blocks away and there are some stunning properties just a few blocks toward St Charles Ave.

I have to note that we stayed at the property for close to two weeks so we may have noticed a few problems that would not trouble a weekend visitor. We will probably try another location for our next visit but all in all it was not a bad property for the price.

A family Thanksgiving

A perfect spot for my family to stay during the Thanksgiving holiday. A lovely space, clean and comfortable, room to wander and a great location. close to the street cars and the Midway. The check in process could not have been easier and Eric was attentive before and after our stay. We will return.

Great location! Beautiful space.

Our family of 4 stayed here and loved it! With small kids we didn’t want to be near the French quarter where it can get really loud at night. We didn’t want to rely on a car so chose Eric’s place because it was right on the St Charles street car line. The house exceeded our expectations. Not to mention a quiet neighborhood right next to a school. We would wake up in the morning and either take the streetcar one way to the zoo or the opposite way to the French quarter. There was plenty of on street parking for those who do rent a car and Eric was so responsive and really helpful. I couldn’t give this stay anything negative.

Car: not necessary

Within steps of the St. Charles streetcar, which will take you to the French Quarter, Audubon Park or the Garden District. Within blocks of many restaurants - Pascal Manale's, Charlie's Steakhouse, Superior Seafood, New Orleans Seafood & Hamburgers... grab a drink at the famous Fat Harry's Bar or meander down to Tipitina's for amazing music!
