Fabulous villa

We had a lovely holiday in this great villa. The villa is beautifully situated high up in the mountain outside of Kalkan where it is slightly cooler and with lovely views. The villa is extremely well equipped, it was very clean and the outdoor space is lovely. It's very peaceful whilst only a 10-15 minute drive into Kalkan. The local restaurants in Islamar are well worth a visit too.

Wonderful villa

This villa exceeded our hopes and we loved our stay here. Everything worked well and we really enjoyed the outdoor space. Eating outside and barbecue was really great. The pool was amazing. We just loved it.

Don`t book ! Unbearable contact with "our" caretaker Mahmut

Do not book the villa if you want to travel with your children! We travelled with friends and family. The caretaker Mahmut shouted several insults at us for being too loud. He threatened us with the police and violent eviction from the villa. As a result, we left the villa in the morning for the remaining five days and came back in the evening. But we still got several threats that we would be kicked out of the villa for being too loud even though we were not there ! We could not use the pool or the outside area for the whole vaction ! I have rarely been so disappointed after a holiday.

A real piece of Turkey

We stayed at Villa panorama for 7 nights in July with a group of 7 adults and children. The Villa is fairly remote, however a short walk to the local village or a 10 minute taxi to the nearest town. Beautiful views, Tranquil and relaxing! The Villa has everything you need and the village provides a real piece of Turkey! The local spring was refreshing and added a touch of natural beauty (as if it didn’t have enough) Thank you Pat for a wonderful stay!

Amazing villa

Stayed here with a group of 10 friends. Beautiful villa set in the mountains of Islamlar. Facilities are all you need. Great outdoor area and pool. Bedrooms all lovely and the beds comfy. Local village is great for restaurants and they are also very friendly. 10-15 minute drive to Kalkan which was fine for us most days. All in all 5*

Villa Panorama- Islamlar

One of our favourite villas of all time ! Location superb - just a bit cooler than Kalkan. Get to see a slice of ' real Turkey '. Local people charming and helpful - so glad we used the restaurants and shop in the village - the produce on offer was amazing . The villa caretaker , Yusuf , was attentive and so helpful . We relied on taxis to get around - no problem at all. We would definitely stay again ! The house was so comfortable- with added bonus of all the water supply, including the pool , being connected to the local spring water . Just couldn't stop looking at the views. Very highly recommended !

Highly recommended.

A beautiful, secluded, well eqipped villa with all the comforts of home in a tranquil setting with wonderful views. We greatly appreciated the heated infinity pool, making it a pleasure to use even at the very end of the season. We highly recommend it all.

Spacious villa in magnificent location

Third visit to this villa. Never fails to impress with the space, location,view and equipment. Pool and outside area outstanding with enough welcoming sun beds. Soft tiled terrace is delight to walk over. Bedrooms and bathrooms all work well. Comfortable living room although not used much due to usual sunshine. Always sad to leave this villa and will try to return next year. Local couple who look after the villa are a delight and even produced a delicious carrot cake for us to enjoy. Owner very helpful. Beautiful villa, stunning view, excellent location

This is a beautiful villa, every bit as good as it looks on the site. Set in a quiet location with great views across the valley, the sunsets are spectacular whether you are in the pool, on a lounger, in the jacuzzi or sitting outside on the balcony. A ten minute drive takes you into Kalkan, a lovely town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. The Aubergine is a favourite of ours but you are spoilt for choice if high quality food is what you are after. The villa itself has large bedrooms, all en-suite. A huge sitting room and well equipped kitchen. There is a large patio with a built in BBQ, a lovely infinity pool which is heated, a jacuzzi and everything is well maintained and well stocked. We have been several times to this villa. It is the best we have ever stayed in with a location that is second to none. It is well worth the cost and is fantastic for a large family or group of friends.

Villa-Panarama is Simply Beautiful

Thank you Pat, Villa-Panarama simply took my breath away. The setting is authentic and idyllic and the villa is presented beautifully in every way. The inside is furnished with lots of home comforts that you don't really expect and the outside is just stunning. Evenings on the terrace watching the sun go down or sitting in the jacuzzi was such a relaxing treat. The village offers several authentic restaurants and the local food and people are a delight. The cooks herb garden was a really nice personal touch. My friends and I enjoyed every aspect of the villa, the scenery, the village and the area it was such a wonderful experience that I would definitely recommend and definitely will to return. Such a lovely holiday

Thanks for a brilliant holiday Pat. What a place! Comfortable and well-designed inside and out. Well equipped in all areas, a great pool and jacuzzi, relaxing BBQ/dining terrace . . . wonderful! The setting of this luxury villa is quite unique, a beautiful hillside location looking right out to sea. Extremely private and not overlooked, yet within walking distance of village restaurant (great food and so cheap) and charming little shop. The wildlife as really interesting, so many beautiful birds. Easy walks - on my last day I sat watching frogs swimming, spotted a red squirrel and helped a tortoise across the road! I love how the early morning sunshine creeps its way across the hillside to the pool; evening sunsets are unbelievable - viewed from the jacuzzi, or better still from the bedroom terrace with an ice-cold G&T! I'm already looking forward to a return visit. Such a lovely holiday.

Brilliant Villa in a stunning location

We enjoyed a very welcome return to Villa Panorama. As can be seen in other reviews, the villa is large, well equipped, beautifully furnished and easily able to cope with a large number of visitors. The villa has a lovely pool and separate jacuzzi and a huge patio for those who simply want to relax and take in the sun. There is a large outside dining area with a built in BBQ, fridge and sink. All in all a fabulous place to spend a holiday. There has been more development since we last came, but nothing major and it is not at all intrusive. The pool area is not overlooked and the stunning views looking out from the villa remain unaltered. We look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend this villa to others.

Fabulous Place

We had a fantastic holiday staying at Villa Panorama. It is a beautiful villa in a pretty perfect location. We loved the pool, jacuzzi and outdoor space and fabulous views. The villa was spacious with everything we could possibly want. The welcome pack upon arrival was also a very nice touch. Any minor difficulties we encountered were dealt with very quickly and to our satisfaction. The villas nearby mentioned in a previous review in no way impacted on the privacy of the villa. It was lovely to wake up every morning and walk out onto the beautiful large balcony to be greeted by the stunning views. There are several great restaurants nearby also with fabulous views. It was really hard to leave the villa we loved it so much and would definitely stay there again without hesitation. Thank you so much Pat for such a fantastic holiday in a very special place.

Great family holiday venue

First of all it is necessary to say that the recent development around Villa Panorama mentioned in one of the reviews, is not at all intrusive and did not distract from the enjoyment of our family holiday. The villa is ideal for the extended family, very spacious and very well equipped. The jacuzzi was perfect for the children including my one year old granddaughter, but remember to switch on the pump for a couple of hours before use to allow it to warm up to a pleasant temperature. The pool was rather cold, even though the air temperature was around 28/30 degrees, but was fine for a cool down after sunbathing. The views from the terrace are magnificent, and although the sea is quite a distance away, it is beautifully lit at sunset. There were a few minor issues. The en-suite occasionally had the smell of drains emanating from the showers, and one of the aircons kept tripping out the power. The latter was reported to Yusef and he had the unit checked and re-wired. This did not cure the problem, but the next day, the unit was removed totally and sent back to the manufacturers. It was quickly returned and re-fitted and the problem resolved. All in all, I highly recommend this villa, and found that the friendly village atmosphere of Islamlar more like the Kalkan I use to know and love, rather than the bustling, commercialised and over developed resort of today.

Lovely villa bur new villas all around it

We stayed at Villa Panorama in 2013 and had an amazing time. The villa itself is fantastic and the photos of the villa itself accurately show how lovely it is. However, the photos of the surrounding area are a little misleading. Yousef has now build his own villa right next door - about 10 meters away. The photo of Villa Panorama showing the driveway was taken pre 2013 an does not show that this other villa is right next door. We returned to Islamlar in summer 2014 (to a different villa) and have seen that Mahmut (Yousef's brother) has now built further villas close behind and to the other side of Villa Panorama (although not as close as Mahmut's). Sadly Panorama is no longer on its own in remote farmland and has suffered from the pace of development in Islamlar - now with 6 villas in close proximity to it. Whilst this does not detract at all from the views from Panorama down the valley, nor the quality of the villa itself, if you want a very remote location, you should have gone 2 years ago when the photos were taken.... Even Google Maps still only shows three of the villas around it (as of Aug 2014) The other 3 new ones to the side are so new that Google does not yet show them. This is a lovely villa - but not as isolated as it is being made out to be in the photos or description. Shame

Villa Panorama

We had a wonderful holiday. The villa was well equipped and catered for a large party comfortably. We had the best of both worlds, the calm and tranquility of Islamlar yet near enough by car to Kalkan to enjoy the hustle and bustle of this very pretty resort. The restaurants in Islamlar were excellent value for money and the staff were friendly and obliging even offering to drive us back to the villa. Yusef and his family (including his mamma) were very helpful. We used ABI travel for our airport transfers, would highly recommend them as so reliable and professional. We hope to return one day soon.

Lovely setting!

Both inside and out, this villa is great;the photos on the website do not do justice to the brilliant lounge. We had an incident with two scorpions which scared us quite a lot but much preferred Islamlar and the area surrounding the villa to staying in Kalkan itself. Yusuf, his wife and all his family are absolutely charming and there is so much too see around the villa. Spotlessly clean and if you need help, Yusuf is there almost immediately. Even two teenagers in our party were fascinated by life around the villa. Hope to return one day!

Cool Location

We have visited Turkey many times and have stayed in lots of different villas. Villa Panorama has been the best by far. A lot of thought has gone into the villa to accommodate it's maximum number of guest (10) comfortably. Others we have stayed in have been lacking the correct number of comfy chairs or dining places. The villa is located up in the hills above Kalkan just outside the village of Islamlar. There is a very welcome drop in a couple of degrees in temperature when returning up the hill from Kalkan which can be scorching in the summer. In addition the villa catches mountain breezes which are most welcome in the summer. The view is fantastic and the outside facilities are such that we rarely ate inside, favouring the large BBQ area by the pool. Although up in the mountains the village is a short walk away and has a small shop. There are a surprising number of good restaurants within walking distance. Most lay on special weekly events and mini buses are laid on from Kalkan. We just strolled along to them on their quieter evenings. The villa keeps most of the family happy. It has a great pool, badminton area in the garden and lovely walks. A spacious sun terrace and lots of shaded areas for those who want to stay out of the sun and just read a book. For serious walkers the Lycian way can be picked up just down the hill and there are many well signed small stretches which can be walked easily. Even the younger members of the group managed to get their night club fix with a taxi trip down to Kalkan. The people who service the villa are very friendly and will do everything to help you. If you want the beach within walking distance or rowdy night clubs on your doorstep this villa is not for you but if you are looking for a spacious luxury villa with fantastic views a large pool and a touch of real Turkey on you doorstep you will struggle to find better.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We think Kalkan is one of the unspoilt jewels of the Turquoise coast. Islamlar is a traditional village high in the mountain but only 10 minutes drive from Kalkan. It is south facing and gets the sun all day but has a fresher climate away from the high summer humidity of the coast. It is a a place of vines and olive groves with abundant running water. The villa is not over-looked, has no near neighbours and is very peaceful.

This is a spacious and modern villa designed for privacy and outdoor living with all mod-cons. We always holiday with friends and family and it is purpose built for groups to share. It has a large plot surrounded by grape vines and Olive trees with private drive and parking. Children love the pool and jacuzzi and there is plenty of room for them to play with no nearby roads.
