Always loved coastal GA and love to visit SSI as much as possible. Currently live in Gainesville, GA. Co-owner (Alan Malcolm) Georgia native who grew up coming to St. Simons Island. Still believing that there's no place like this island, Alan is a career banker; Senior Vice President and Retail Banking Executive for a large regional bank. He offices in Gainesville, Ga. and covers a territory of Gainesville, Athens and Madison market northeast of Atlanta. Alan enjoys scouring sales and flea markets looking for exceptional "deals" and spending as much time as possible in the Golden Isles on the coast of Georgia!"

One of the best rentals on SSI!
We visit St Simons a few times a year and this is far and away our favorite house to stay. The owners and caretaker are very responsive and full of good advice. The house itself is immaculate, impeccably designed, maintained, and decorated. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the Village. We can't say enough good things about this rental experience! Hope the house is available again on our next trip!
This home is perfect for four couples. Four suites with full baths. The home is immaculately decorated and appointed. The open kitchen, dining and den area are great for socializing. The back porch with swing bed, the pool and grill all make for a great gathering place. Overall, we had a great experience at the home. We had no issue, but the caretaker Will was available if we had. From landscaping to every inch of the home it was perfect. The walk to the Village area didn’t take long. We all hope we have the opportunity to visit again.

Perfect Home for a Memorable Week in St Simons
Village Retreat is on our list of best stays ever!! It is a beautifully decorated beach home that has been carefully planned to be comfortable from the minute you arrive. The neighborhood is safe, attractive, quiet and welcoming, as well as, close to everything. Our family rented bikes and went to the playground and village for breakfast and ice creams. We took the short ride to the beach and enjoyed the salt-water pool every day. We grilled, we cooked, we did laundry and everything you could ever need or want is available in this gorgeous home, including fresh limes on the tree by the pool, should you desire a cocktail in the evening.
The spacious open floor plan is light, airy, and tastefully beachy; perfect for families of all ages. A wide hallway runs through the house from the very pleasant front porch to the wonderful back screened porch with a bed swing complete with quilts, perfect for reading or napping. The bedrooms are spacious, the closets have plenty of room, and oh those marvelous showers! The upstairs bedrooms are secluded enough that children, or anyone, can sleep peacefully even if there’s a movie on downstairs. The home was spotless and, clearly, designed to be stress free for a beach vacation.
The caretaker is around on a regular basis to attend to plants, pool, etc.; friendly, personable, helpful, but not at all intrusive. He is a native of the area so has lots of information, should you need it. As a frequent, familiar visitor to St Simons, I highly recommend this home and I will most definitely be back!

This like-new property exceeded our expectations. The design and furnishings shout relaxation and group getaway comfort. Lots of local island artworks also set the tone. The backyard pool was a great plus.

Conveniently located about .5 mile from the Village and Pier. Walking and Biking strongly recommended. Not having to park a plus! Community Pool & Putt-Putt Golf located near village and walking distance from home. Great restaurants just walking distance. The best beaches are on East Beach and better to drive or bike to them. Large grocery store and pharmacy just one mile from the home. Great day trips include Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, Amelia Island/Fernandina (FL), Savannah, Darien and Sapelo Islands. Cumberland and Sapelo require a ferry ride, but contain many undeveloped and natural areas.
