Great Location!

The space is very accommodating and comfortable! The hosts were awesome to deal with and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Great views and plenty to do from kayaking or paddle boarding to relaxing on the dock. Will definitely try to rebook when we come back to the area.

Relaxing Retreat

Our family had an amazing time! Julie and Gio were gracious hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide information about local activities. Perfect quiet and rekaxing Fall weekend

My family thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment on Sproat Lake. We kyaked, swam, hiked and fished with a nearby Charter based out of Port Alberni. Quick visit

We arrived later than expected but we were greeted warmly. The space was absolutely wonderful. Views of the lake from every window. A fully equipped kitchen, everything we needed was available. The sound of the lake and a full moon were fantastic after a difficult 12 hour day of travel. We enjoyed the dock, paddle boards and kayaks. Julie and Gio know how to make you feel at home.

Lovely R&R Getaway from the city

We were impress with the place when we first saw it. Julie and Gio are fabulous host. Our little 3 year old boy loved the boat ride they gave us, swimming in such clean and clear water, and playing on the large patio outside our suite. The décor and design of the place is modern and chic. Views of the lakes and surrounding forest and mountains does take your breath away. We will definitely return for future vacations here.

Incredible getaway

Julie and Gio were incredible hosts. The property, accommodations, and amenities are outstanding with everything you could need for a great vacation. My teenagers made full use of the lake, paddle boards and of course the wifi. The deck was a perfect location for morning coffee or evening meals and everything in between. Besides being incredibly well appointed accommodations, the hosts were very in tune with our needs and ensured that everything about our stay was perfect. Definitely plan to return.

The accommodation is immaculately clean, new and upscale. The setting is gorgeous. We took the kayaks out for 2-3 hours a couple of days and hardly saw any boats - so peaceful and relaxing. A beautiful home away from home

Julie and Gio are wonderful people and fantastic hosts! We greatly enjoyed our stay in their two bedroom, 1 bathroom suite. We spent a lot of time swimming from their dock, and enjoying the kayaks and paddle boards that they provide for their guests to use. They even took us on a boat tour of the lake, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Gio and Julie! The house is situated on Stirling Arm and the location is incredibly beautiful. The water is so clear and inviting. We settled in quickly and felt very comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 3. We feel very thankful that we had the opportunity to enjoy a week in their suite in August.

Beautiful Lake Experience

For our first lake visit to Sproat Lake we couldn't ask for a better experience. Julie and Gio's home was immaculate. A comfy and well considered home on the second level with everything you need. Julie met us upon arrival and went above and beyond by helping me carry in some luggage and then showed us around the property. They allowed us to use their paddleboards and kayaks as well as their beautiful dock on the water. It was a dream for all of us and our children said it was the best vacation ever! Thank you!!!

Everything you need

We had a super stay at Julie and Gio’s. Despite arriving during a downpour they greeted us and were available to help get us settled. Julie even had the fireplace going for a cozy welcome. Julie was very accommodating and checked in with us, via email, a few times to ensure we had everything we needed. The unit is clean, spacious and well-appointed with everything you would need from kitchen items, linens and general comfort items. Despite sharing the property with Julie and Gio, we felt we had lots of privacy. Had the weather cooperated, we would have enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks that were set out for our use. The view of the lake is awesome and having the undercover outdoor sitting area helped us to enjoy that, even in cooler temperatures. We would definitely recommend a stay in this unit.

The perfect getaway

We couldn't have been happier to stay at Julie and Gio's lovely place on Sproat Lake, which is even better in person than in the images! The deck is the perfect spot for watching the geese take off and the clouds drift by while having a glass of wine and catching up among old friends. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking great meals, the beds are luxuriously comfortable, the rain shower is spa-like, and the place is spotless. Wonderful hosts in a magical place. Other notes: this is not a property for people with mobility issues due to the flight of otherwise easily navigable outdoor stairs. The second bedroom is much cozier than it looks in the pictures and has a view through the kitchen out to the water if you keep the sliding doors open. We took Julie's recommendations of the Lighthouse trail walk in Ucuelet and the taco truck and ocean beach walks in Torfino for a perfect (but full) day outing.

Peaceful comfort for water lovers

Quiet, clean, and super comfortable place. Beautiful views from the primary bedroom, no windows in the 2nd bedroom and it’s off the kitchen so not especially private but just fine for my 9yo twins who don’t mind sharing a bed. Beds were so comfy, I slept 9-14 hours every night. Lovely to sit outside on the deck or the dock, and swimming off the dock was EXCEPTIONAL; I’m an avid open water swimmer and enjoyed it so much. Clean, clear, perfect refreshing temps. The lake bottom isn’t nice, it’s rocky and mushy - so it’s best for kids that will wear life jackets or can swim in water over their heads. Jumping off the dock was so much fun and they have beautiful and safe stairs for getting in and out. 2 paddle boards! 4 kayaks! So much to explore! Julie and Gio are charming and friendly hosts who really respected our privacy and were always on call for anything we needed.

An Outstanding Property

-Sparklingly clean. -Well constructed home. -Solid bed with fluffy comforter. -Excellent kitchen for those who enjoy cooking. -Access to rental requires use of 20 or so steps down and then back up. Only including this in case you are travelling with elderly or infirm loved ones. -Stunning view from expansive patio. -Rental is on floor below main home. For those who this may concern, the owners were onsite but truly respected our privacy.We felt like the house and property were ours alone. They greeted us and came out to say good bye. Very nice people. -Home is nicely located so we could drive to Cathedral Grove and Little Qualicum Falls -For those who enjoy an invigorating, scenic and twisting drive that gives opportunity to actually 'drive' a car then the home is also nicely located for a drive to Tofino or Ucluelet. We hope to return one day and recommend this property without hesitation

One Week Of Bliss

Oh my where to start...We were expecting a lovely property and accommodations based on the photos and yet we were so impressed when we first arrived! The house is beautifully located on the lake with a huge deck to enjoy the view! Gorgeous deck furniture was a treat. The suite is nothing short of AMAZING. Every detail thoughtfully considered. Great eating areas inside and out, exceptional BBQ (happy hubby), phenomenal well-stocked kitchen (happy me), Neflix (happy daughter) super comfy bed and a gorgeous view from the master bedroom, loved the rain shower in the bathroom, strong wifi...and on and on it goes. The main residence is one floor above the suite and yet, you hear nothing! We were afforded complete privacy and peaceful deck time. Now to the lake...how do you accurately describe the most beautiful lake you have ever experienced? We fell in love and in fact, started to look for properties for sale. lol. Crystal clear, warm, quiet. It does not get better than that. Julie and Gio supply 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a canoe. One of my favourite parts of the week was kayaking first thing in the morning through the lake mist, while the sun rises. Total bliss. We spent a lot of time on the wharf which had great loungers, and an awning for shade. Floaties, and lifejackets at our disposal. I mean really, we can't wait to go back. Julie and Gio are amazing hosts and took the extra time to make us feel as if we were the most special people on the planet. We have travelled extensively and can honestly say we have never met hosts as kind and considerate. They even presented me with a surprise birthday cake....gave us a special boat ride and made my daughter feel so extra special! We feel so fortunate to have met this lovely couple and to have experienced such a wonderful holiday. It was heavenly. Thank you Julie and Gio for everything!!
