The Parlor Apartment is located on the second level of our circa 1852 historic townhome with impressive ironwork located on Gordon Row, the longest continuous row of townhomes in the Landmark Historic District. We take pleasure in offering a genuine, unpretentious or 'cookie-cutter' rental, catering to guests looking for the unique charm and history that Savannah is so well known for. While The Parlor Apartment's kitchen and bathroom are modest, The Parlor is uniquely furnished to offer a combination of comfort and sophistication to create a distinctive and remarkable experience for your Savannah getaway.

Parlor Summary:

-Large living room / dining room with 48" large screen TV with cable and DVD player

-Sunroom with writing desk and seating with brick-lined walls

-Spacious 'Parlor' bedroom with King bed, cable TV, vanity, and seating area

-Semi-private deck with bistro set with access to our small gated brick courtyard

-Modest kitchen with full size gas stove and freezer/fridge. Country-cupboard well stocked with all kitchen cookware and dishware, cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.

-Small bathroom with tub/shower combo and pedestal sink.

-Parking available on the public street with meters. See below for additional parking tips.

-A shared washer/dryer laundry is available downstairs in tiny laundry room adjacent to our courtyard.

-Accommodates 2 Adult occupants ONLY. Please inquire about our other comparable rentals if you require lodging for more than 2 guests.

This is an ideal location in the center of the Historic District! A block north of Forsyth Park and just one-half block west of Bull Street which is the center of downtown! Two of Savannah's beautiful squares are a stone's throw away out the front door. Walk to everything 'touristy' from here. Less than a mile to River Street.

We are very attentive and hospitable owners. Please inquire with any questions. A laundry room with coin-operated washer and dryer is available on site shared between the 5 total rental units in the building. The Parlor has access below to the quaint bricked and landscaped courtyard shared between the year-round residents and guest at this classic Savannah home.

Parking:

-Visitor's parking passes offered by the City of Savannah allow all day parking at meters and are available for $18/per 2-days or $14/day purchased at The Savannah Visitors Information Center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. (open 8:30-5 & Sat-Sun 9-5 / Cash only!) or at Mobility & Parking Services at 100 E Bryan Street (open M-F 8-5). A pass is only needed on weekdays (Mon-Fri) from 8-5. To purchase a visitor's parking pass, you must provide your license plate number/state on the vehicle.

-Parking is free on weekends! No charge for metered parking (and no pass needed) from Friday at 5pm until Monday at 8am.

We have lived in Downtown Savannah for over 20 years transforming ourselves from renters, to homeowners, to full-time property managers to the more than a dozen historic properties we have been so fortunate to preserve. Like a great mystery or detective novel, I love to imagine and discover details in each of our properties...what hands laid the brick, forged the iron...whose footsteps have paced the floors and climbed the steps? With every passing day we become part of the home's history and have an opportunity to preserve, share, and create a story to tell of generations of old for generations to come.

Notes:
The Parlor Apartment is located on the 2nd level of our 4-story, circa 1852 townhome. We are accustomed to quiet, respectful guest and are accustomed to being helpful and accessible to our guest before and during each stay. (The brick courtyard and exterior laundry room with coin-op washer/dryer are shared between a total of 5 rental units on the property consisting of our gracious year-round residents and vacationing guests who peacefully co-exist.)

Wonderful Savannah Anniversary Trip

We visited Savannah for our 3rd anniversary. We have always had a special connection to this city, but it is even more so now. The "Parlor" far exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and immaculately decorated. The welcoming, personal, thoughtful details made it such a wonderful space to relax and enjoy, especially on a rainy day! It is close to all the local restaurants, squares, parks, (and daiquiri shops!) etc. We didn't have to drive at all other than to venture to Tybee Island. It was truly a perfect weekend away - romantic, fun, convenient, affordable. I would definitely stay here again and am already planning another trip to Savannah! Jon and Carmen were super helpful and my only wish was that we could have met them to thank them in person!

Our 1852 RowHouse

Our vacation in Savannah was great. Our owners provided a lovely apartment for us with fresh flowers in every room and a nice basket of goodies, including fresh fruit. We had a problem accessing the lock box for the key and when we called they arrived within 15 minutes to get our keys. That was the only "problem" we had during our time there. We enjoyed the time so much that we extended our reservation for two extra days. The Pattersons, Crossville TN

Charming, in the heart of everything!

Beautiful property, plenty of space, and full of amenities! Loved the charm and the location - in the heart of everything, but tucked away on a quiet street of historic row houses. Great communication from Jon and Carmen - easy check in and out procedures, and readily available for questions. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Wonderful location and lots of space

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Parlor. The location cannot be beat! We were grateful to be so close to Forsyth Park so our son could get out lots of energy on the playgrounds and basketball courts. And it was an easy walk, drive or trolley ride to so many of the historical sites we wanted to see (and places we wanted to eat). Carmen was a wonderful host, offering clear communication about our visit and leaving us popcorn and sparkling juice for our New Year's Eve stay. While we experienced unusally cold weather on our trip (and the house can be drafty), the heat kept us all toasty warm. Thank you for sharing your lovely apartment with my family; we would gladly stay again the next time we are in Savannah.

Lovely historic flat in a great location

We managed to come to Savannah for the crazy snow and ice storm so our stay was less than perfect for sightseeing, but the flat was extremely charming and well appointed. Communication was easy and cordial with the owners. We would recommend highly, don’t hesitate to book.

Cozy and decorated for the holidays

The parlor is perfectly cozy and clean. Everything was decorated for the holidays, including a Christmas tree. Savannah is beautiful during the holidays. Carmen and Job are very accommodating and go above and beyond.
