About this property

Characterful Cottage near Port Isaac & Polzeath - Fibre Wifi.

Ruffcott is a charming cottage with a big windowed wood burner and connected to fibre broadband, located just a mile or two from some fabulous beaches and 12 minutes from Port Isaac and 20 from Polzeath. Rock and Daymer a few minutes further. For walkers, the dramatic coastal footpath and the wilds of Bodmin Moor are nearby. In an excellent location for touring, there are many NT houses and gardens within easy reach including the renowned Eden project. Shops and pubs within 1 mile.

Trebarwith Strand beach is nearby with 2 great pubs and shops. Surfing and body boarding are popular with lifeguards in the Summer. Tregardock is nearer and totally unspoilt so you'll need to take a picnic.

The cottage is fully equipped with 2 DVD players and Firesticks and most important - the WiFi has fibre broadband direct to the cottage, giving speeds of 55mb/s.

Central heating is provided through storage heaters which come on several times a day.

A big windowed wood burner provides even more heat and of course entertainment. You might want to turn the storage heating down if you don't like being roasted.

We are most popular with couples and small families. The cottage is an escape but is also well connected to the world if you want to be.

About the host

Hosted by Steven Kelynack

Host profile image
We are Steven and Polly Kelynack. We bought Ruffcott in 2003 and have had many fabulous times here with our daughter and friends.

Being Cornish with a very Cornish name we have always had an affinity with Cornwall, with family roots all over Cornwall down to the town of Kelynack near Land's End.

Why they chose this property

The cliff walks, the drama of the weather, the surfing, beautiful beaches - these are just a few of the attractions of North Cornwall.

It is closer to London than most of Cornwall being only 4 hours away. It's an hour from Exeter, and 2 hours from Bristol.

What makes this property unique

Trebarwith Strand is our favourite Beach just 10 minutes away. Tregardock beach and Polzeath are also close by.

The charming fishing village of Port Isaac is very close.

There are fabulous Summer and Easter classical concerts at St Endellion Church.

There are golf clubs in the cottage which you can use at any of the numerous courses nearby.
