Gigi & Poppy's Beach House on 30A

"GiGi's and Poppy's Beach House" is just the place to relax and unwind at the beach. The spacious kitchen overlooks the living and dining area, and is equipped with a gas cooktop, an oversized fridge, and stainless steel appliances. The open living and dining areas have 10' ceilings and plenty of windows, offering lovely views of 30A. All three bedrooms are upstairs. The master suite offers a king bed and an ensuite bath with dual vanities, and a large shower. The second has a queen over queen bunk and the and third bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fans for added comfort, and have a shared bath with a tub/shower combo.

"GiGi and Poppy's Beach House" has easy access to the pool, and is just a short shuttle or bike ride to the nearby scenic dunes and unspoiled beauty of nearby Deer Lake State Park and beach access. The town of Prominence is a 30A hotspot, and offers a number of amenities that are certain make this vacation one of fun, fitness and relaxation, including a 5,000 sq. ft. pool with cabanas surrounding the poolside and a fitness center. Prominence Beach Access Points

Beach Access to the West:

Deer Lake State Park - Deer Lake is the most popular and the closest beach access to Prominence and is located .5 miles away. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk froth parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.

Walton Dunes - Walton Dunes is about 2 miles to the west at the end of Beachfront Trail. This is a Walton County beach access with parking and short distance to the beach.

Santa Clara - Santa Clara access is a Walton County beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beach Access to the East:

Gulf Lakes - The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about .5 miles to the east of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed. Parking is not available, but makes for a great bike ride to the beach.

Sea Breeze - Sea Breeze is a Walton County beach access that is just past the Gulf Lakes access. Parking and bathrooms are not available at this access, however, there is a shower.

Peaceful Getaway

What a wonderful home to spend fall break in. This home is well furnished and gorgeous. Plenty of room for a large family and still space to get away. The view from the back deck is spectacular with nothing blocking it. The deck chairs are even bar height to ensure an open view. The owner supplied bikes and beach chairs are a huge added bonus. The area of Prominence has so much to offer with the great pool and the shops and entertainment at the Hub. Of course you go for the beach and the beach at Deer Lake State park is beautiful and much more private than many areas along 30A. We would recommend Prominence and Gigi and Poppy's Beach House to everyone. You will not be disappointed.

Christmas Break

Gigi and Poppy’s is the perfect vacation home for our family. It was beautifully decorated and was equipped with everything needed for our stay. The king size bed was very comfortable (Best sleep ever). The owners supplied 4 bikes and beach chair.

The unit is in the completed section of Prominence North, so no problem with construction. It faces 30A so you don’t have neighbors off your deck. The Hub across the street has shops, restaurants and seating to enjoy.

We plan on renting this unit again soon!!

Wonderful New Community

New construction in a neighborhood that is still under construction. Beautifully decorates, well furnished home. Literally faces and is right on 30A, however traffic noise is not a concern. The Hub is a nice place across the street. Multiple beach accesses nearby that can be accessed by bike (provided), car, golf cart, or beach tram (included). Very nice pool area. Close to Grayton, Seaside, Sea Grove, Alys, Seacrest, and Rosemary for a wide array of dining, sopping, and other experiences. Very accessible to Destin and Panama City.

There are two things that I think would make great additions. First, it would be nice to have some type of shade on the front door for more privacy, much like the patio doors. Second, at night, car lights from 30A traffic can be a little intruding in the 2nd floor master bedroom. Some added window coverings would further enhance this space.

Beautiful place to spend our vacation!

Prominence Review

This home was everything we hoped for! We traveled with our two children (ages 3 and 18 months) and it provided a safe, clean environment for them to be in, as well as, plenty of space for everyone to sleep and play comfortably. The home is beautifully decorated and so very peaceful. It was also nice to have chairs and bicycles included in the stay.

We loved the convenient access to the gorgeous community pool. The wading area is perfect for children and we spent lots of time here. The "state of the art" fitness center left much to be desired as it is a very small area with three cardio machines and a multi-purpose weight station. We are hoping the fitness center, as it is now, is temporary and the final plans for the development include a better fitness center. The beach access was difficult to navigate (especially with two small children). We are also hoping the access can be improved once the community is completed.

Here are some things that would have made our stay a little more comfortable:

1 - the home gets gorgeous natural light all day long which is lovely, except it was very difficult for our babies to settle down for naps and they woke when the sun came up. Blackout curtains or room darkening drapes would be very helpful in all the bedrooms. We ended up moving beds around to the windows and stacking pillows up on the headboards to make the rooms darker.

2 - A roman shade would be great on the entry door. It feels very open at night and you can see directly into the unit across the way and vice versa.

3 - An extra set of towels and additional hangers would be helpful in the master bathroom.

4 - Drying racks and additional places to hang clothes in the laundry room would also be helpful. We had to get creative with where to hang swimsuits and other items that were washed but had to hang to dry.

This is sure to be a wonderful community when it's complete and wouldn't think twice about booking here again, especially if the fitness center and beach access is improved upon.

Better than expected

The place was better than we anticipated. There was plenty of space for our baby to spread toys around without being in the way. Location was perfect for us, with the Hub across the street, and Seaside and the grocery store just a short drive away. I would only suggest putting some type of chair/stool in the bedrooms for putting on shoes, lotions, etc. to prevent getting anything on the lovey bedding. Also, adding a full length mirror would be great for us ladies getting ready for a night out. All in all, a great rental. We would absolutely stay again.
