Beautiful Island cottage in Honey Harbour on Georgian Bay, 90 Minutes north of Toronto, where sun-soaked days on a private beach are followed by gorgeous sunsets nestled in your Muskoka chair. This haven offers views that inspired the Group of Seven and other artists for over a century. Explore the 3-acre property, with Manicured lawns & rocky terrain perfect for mini-adventurers. Cottage is a short 2 minute ride from the Marina.
Spacious 5 bedrooms. on 3 acres. 3 docks, Sandy Beach, large lawn area, private sheltered water plane port.
Windows wrap the entire front of the cottage giving incredible views of the bay and amazing sunsets, but allow the glorious breeze to flow through the cottage. The large open-concept main living area incorporates living, dining. Snuggle up on the couches in front of the large, stone fireplace in the living room. There are additional fireplaces in the Kitchen, Master bedroom and bedroom #2. There is ample seating for ten at the harvest table in the dining room. The kitchen is spacious with all the amenities you could ask for, including a breakfast table for Seven. Next to the kitchen is a large sunroom with second breakfast area and another dining table for ten. Adjacent to the Dining area is a separate room with Bell satellite equipped 52" HD TV, blue ray player and Wii Play Station.
Five comfortable bedrooms will accommodate your family and friends. The Master has a king sized four post bed, and 2 piece bathroom and seating area. The three remaining bedrooms share two bathrooms. Bedroom 2 has a Queen sized bed & built in crib. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed. The fourth has a bunk bed with a Queen on the bottom, it also has a pull out double sofa Bed. Bedroom 5 is a private loft made for kids with a double bed and play area. Blankets and pillows are provided. Please bring your own linens and towels. Main bathroom is a 3 piece with a shower (no bath tub), the second bathroom is a three piece.
Transportation to this boat-access property is easier than you may think (400 Meters from marina). Part of your package includes the trip over and Back if you do not have a boat. I would Highly recommend renting a small fishing boat, It will be great to explore the area and the fishing is very good.

The cottage was perfect for our large family.It was spacious and very well equipped.The host was very helpful getting everyone across from the mainland and back again at the end of our week.He even went out of his way to take me up stream to a place where I could rent a boat that allowed us to get around the area ourselves throughout our week.

Honey Harbour Island Paradise

We had a wonderful time in large part due to the attentiveness of the host Daniel. The house (it is as big and comfortable as a house) and grounds were clean, cosy, and extremely well equipped with everything you might need right down to spices! The sun deck time was the best and the new boat dock easily accommodated our 28ft SeaRay (it is boat access only so bring or rent a boat, besides it’s the way to get the most out of the area). Would highly recommend for families.

Great Family Getaway

Well-appointed cottage with large surrounding property and lots of activities to appeal kids of various ages and adults. We played volleyball on the lawn, the little kids enjoyed the playground and swings, the sandy beach area was great for sand play and swimming. It was nice to have a variety of watercraft for getting out on the bay, and there were plenty of great spaces inside and outside the cottage for our family to spend time together. Dan was a fantastic host. I felt like I asked a lot of questions and he was very responsive and happy to oblige, and was also extremely accommodating. Thanks Dan for a great cottage experience!

Week with extended family members from Wales

Beautiful view from Cottage, many many items are included with cottage, cottage is significantly stocked. The cottage description was misleading from the information on the webpage. We had a big range of people for sleeping arrangements and tried to sort it out before arriving. The description of bedrooms and beds are not as set up in house so double check if needing to sleep many people. We chose the cottage because of this reason and because the description included a hot tub. This property does not have a hot tub as listed which was very disappointing to a few of us with back problems. Daniel was very helpful loading his barge to take us over to the peninsula and back.

Georgian Bay

This property is magnificent. It is a short boat ride from the marina and oriented so you get morning sun and evening sunsets. The views from inside the cottage and outside are beautiful. There was ample space for our three generations of people. Eight of us stayed for a week. We wish it had been two weeks.

Great weekend with the boys

We rented this property for our annual guys weekend. The place suited the 9 of us perfectly, we typically play a lot of lawn games during the day (bocce ball, molkky etc) and the property is large with lots of grassy area, the perfect terrain. There is plenty of sleeping space, we didn't use every bed available. The kitchen is well stocked and very functional. The water was chilly but we did swim and the diving board is a nice added touch. The views from the dock and surrounding area are beautiful, especially at sunset. The owner is very accommodating and easy to deal with. We hope to return someday.

A great place for families

We had a great time at Dans place!!!! We were 3 families with young kids and they were busy day in day out. Between the fishing on one side of the island and the frog oasis on the other..... the kids were busy and exhausted EVERY night. The adults loved the outdoor kitchen and there was enough room for all of us without issues! There was also an awesome diving board the kids and adults used at length. Super fun! Dan was super accessible and a fantastic host. He even shared some fishing tips and Lures from his stash 😊. He couldnt have been more hospitable. Overall, a great stay and fantastic accommodating host. Would for sure stay here again! Thx Dan 😊

Island Escape

We had the very best time enjoying this beautiful property and everything it has to offer! And it has everything!!!! Such a stunning location, the cottage has everything you could hope for. Spacious, charming, outstanding commercial grade appliances that work for a large group, an outdoor kitchen, games, water toys, a diving board for lake jumping, a great dock... this place is pure excellence and Daniel is personable and so very easy to communicate with. We loved it and can’t wait to get back here!!

The cottage has been in the family since 1964. I moved up 20 years ago and have a house on mainland directly across from the cottage. In the past few years the family has become smaller and the Kids are all married and have family's living out of the province. They all make use of the cottage but it leaves many unused weeks in the summer.
Renting the cottage seemed a natural solution, allowing people to enjoy the great outdoors as our family has done for many years.

Why they chose this property

3 acre property only minutes away from mainland. 5 minutes to Honey Harbor and 35 min to Midland.
Private on all sides, large lawn. Pictures tell it all, have a look!
Property has over 1800 Feet of shoreline.
If you happen to have a sea plane, there is even a sheltered plane port at the back.
