About the property

This quiet home sits with 130 feet of low bank waterfront

Get away from the big city, the stresses of life, and just kick back and hang on our huge deck and watch as eagles occasionally fly by — so close, it feels like you can touch them. Be sure to bring a camera.

This home has it all — it’s steps way from the Olympic National Park and is a very private, quiet, relaxing retreat. From the deck, guests see nothing but water looking both north and south, where you can view wildlife. Our waterfront home house offers spectacular views with 130 feet of low bank beach on Hood Canal. The location offers a nature’s paradise to view wildlife, on occasion we have seals on our beach and sometimes you can hear and see them sing to each other at night — other nights, you can hear frogs croaking.

Eagles often glide by as close as 10 yards from the deck, great blue herons nest 75 yards away, and sometimes you will see deer hanging in the driveway in total peaceful tranquility. The panoramic water views of the beautiful Hood Canal from our giant wood deck are breathtaking and you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range.

If hiking is your thing, there are hundreds of beautiful trails nearby in the Olympic National Park. Hungry — head south nearby to Brinnon for two high quality restaurant for meals. Then come back home for a sunset kayak in front from the house. Swimming, fishing, and crabbing are possible there as well. It is a total paradise and a place to totally get away from it all.

The fully stocked kitchen, with a glorious view of the deck and water, includes a tiny breakfast bar. Our dining area has a table that seats eight — or, when the weather is great, enjoy eating outside and cook your meal on the grill on the deck. It’s a great time to just kick back and enjoy the view and serenity of this peaceful place. The kitchen opens into the dining room and living room where you will never get tired of the incredible panoramic view of the water. Sunrises are gorgeous and sitting out on the oversized deck at night looking at the full moon’s reflection on the water is a great way to relax at the end of your day.

If you prefer to not cook, The Halfway House nearby is famous for excellent home cooking and homemade pies. Esquire magazine chose the nearby Geoduck Restaurant and Tavern #2 as “Best Bar in America,” and Pleasant Harbor Marina, just down the road, offers superb pizza and sandwiches. To the north is Quilcene, historic Port Townsend and Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge, out of Port Angeles, is a great place for hiking. Port Townsend is a great spot for antiquing and the Victorian homes are incredible to see.

The home offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, flat screen tv with Dish, a dresser and closet. Second bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed, flat tv, and a closet, the third has a queen bed and flat tv, the fourth bedroom is a loft that has a 2 single size beds. There is a flat-screen tv in the living room as well with satellite tv. A king-sized washing machine and dryer are also available.

Bring your fishing poles and check out the many rivers that flow into Hood Canal.

Nearby Dosewallips State Park, with acres of clams and oysters and geoduck, is also a great place to beach comb at low tide. Brinnon is a hiker’s paradise and there are spectacular trails and waterfalls in Brinnon or in the nearby Olympic National Park. Or check out the great mountain biking trails. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A beautiful weekend in a lovely waterfront setting!

  • 5 of 5

Eagle Pointe was a pleasure! We traveled cross-country to spend the weekend with our three adult children, and the house was a great venue to reconnect, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty in the area. The house itself is modern and well-appointed, and all the basics (heat, light, bathrooms, etc.) were fully operational and made the house very comfortable. It was also very clean and obviously well cared-for, and stocked with the linens/towels/supplies (right down to flashlights and candles) that it’s good to have right at hand. We liked the keypad lock that made for no-key convenience! The bedrooms and sleeping quarters are ample, and, though the five of us rattled around a bit in all the space, everyone had a comfy bed, and got two good nights’ rest. The kitchen is modern and spacious, and we really appreciated a dining table for eight, with no crowding. The large deck on the water was a delight, with comfortable outdoor furniture to sit and bask in the sun, and enjoy the expansive view of the water below. The house also had ample windows in the east-facing kitchen, dining room, and A-frame section, to let the morning sun and water view come right inside. The “beach” is easily reached by the trail, and is actually a tidal collection of rocks of all shapes, sizes, and colors, well-sprinkled with clam and oyster shells – it was fun and therapeutic to browse among them. We found the location very private, but convenient to visit two active waterfalls, and Mt. Walker with its expansive views, all a short drive away. We brought our main groceries, but the Brinnon convenience store had a good variety of extras and gap-fillers. The house was beautifully landscaped all around, and, while spring must be gorgeous with the flowering plants, early fall was enjoyable as well. The house was also equipped with toys and games, and a large library of DVDs, if you needed entertainment. The owners couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful, posted labeled notes with useful info, and were easily reachable for the few questions we had. There were a few things that could have been better: the gas grill needs some cleaning and repair, the knives in the kitchen badly needed sharpening, and there were several kitchen gadgets that we could have used, but these were small things that did not diminish our enjoyment of the location and space. We certainly met our objective for a fun, peaceful, comfortable weekend in a beautiful natural setting!

Owner's Response: I am sorry you had to deal with dull knives and had problem with the grill. Unfortunately, according to our house keeper, the knife sharpener has gone missing from the drawer. Also, the handyman had fix the grill before and the burner is not working properly. I will replace with new knives and a new a gas grill.

Beautiful house and setting

  • 5 of 5

The weather was stormy, but we were snug inside. Just the right size for 4 adults and a child. A bald eagle flew over the driveway as we were leaving and we saw two deer every time we drove in and out. We enjoyed our weekend away.

The home was lovely. Very clean and spacious with a beautiful view and large windows. A short walk to the beach. The deck would be a great hang-out spot in the summer.

The home is very spacious and open. The location is great and I t was perfect for our family for my fathers birthday weekend getaway. We loved dining and playing games at the large dining room table in front of the window.

Spacious yet cozy!

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect size for our group of seven, and we loved our stay! The house is quite large, but it still feels cozy and comfortable. And the view from the deck (and the kitchen) can't be beat! Would definitely recommend!
